Great to see more cars with the hybrid option. Especially on bigger vehicles.

A lot of energy is being used charging that battery. That generator works hard continuously. More gas than necessary is being used..

+Larry 306 Actually no, its more efficient to have the Engine charge the battery then have the generator and electric motor turn the wheels then via the transmission, clutch and gears. Less friction and energy losses. :)

I drive a Lexus hybrid and that's just not so. Much of the charging comes from braking or even just gliding. And since the electric motors often drive vehicle under 40 mph in the city the engine is saved. So a 100K mile vehicle really only has 70K miles of use. It's why you see Camry hybrid taxis with 500,000 miles! My daughter drives a Lexus HS250h with 180,000 miles with no issues.

Absolutely ugliest rear end I've ever seen on a vehicle.

"best looking thing Toyota makes"? Haha, this guy needs glasses, or maybe he should be reviewing something other than cars because its UGGGGGGGGGGGGLY just like all of Toyota's current models. The previous generation was WAY less polarizing and ugly. 50 grand? No thanks.
