I'm a 72 year old geezer and it does my heart good to hear a youngster play any musical instrument and this fellow is a very fine musician with no limits The music in school was a great thing when I was his age it should be in every school's budget today
I'm a huge follower of Jazz and other types of music. I can't believe the amazing skill of this young man. I've know gents in there 40's who can't play smooth like that. He is the 2nd coming of George Benson..maybe even better.

They have no vocals, but are pretty revolutionary for playing. He was sort of a combo of Pat Martino and Red Garland, with a smattering of Wes in those albums.

I appreciate the ability to scat along with every note and having that connection with your guitar playing, but to me personally I just find it a little annoying after a while and just want to hear the guitar. because to be as good as this kid you should started at 3, 5, 7 or at least 10 years old, probably the father/mother of this kid is a guitarist or musician and started teaching his son since he was born
He feels it!!!!! That makes all the difference. Some ( not usually at age 11) can play the notes, but he gives those notes emotion. It shows not only his proficiency , but also his emotional maturity. He’s an old soul. Bravo young man!!!!!!

Remember, music is the language used & the accompanying band is like a town-hall meeting where everyone gets to express themselves. The most effective player is the one who forms His/Her own voice that stands out. So in essence, when you speak with your instrument it’s instantly recognizable. Like Miles, Parker, Coltrane, etc, you know that sound immediately and there’s nothing like it around. That’s when you know you’re in the Zone! My Man here, at 11, has already developed His own Voice. Imagine what’s going to be coming out of this young Man in the next 11 years. He’ll own the Zone… Go for it, my Man!
Hard to remember the last time I saw hands flow that smoothly up and down the fretboard. They looked like a flock of birds flying in perfect unison -- spinning, slingshotting and diving back and forth and up and down the neck at lightning speed and in perfect time. A joy to watch.
Some people are just amazing. This young fellow is not a young man, he's still a kid! Absolutely amazing, so effortless and smooth - off the chart talent.

People who don’t play guitar may not realize just how incredibly impressive this is. And I think what impresses me the most is not the skill - but the actual drive and determination at that age. At 11 I didn’t know my ass from a hole in the wall. It has taken me decades to develop any kind of bit of skill I do have
@@zivkovicable Yes absolutely. From ages 2-10 or so, our learning is basically supercharged due to the amount of active synapses we have. This is a big reason someone like Guthrie Govan is such a virtuoso - he started around 4 and he soaked up a ton of knowledge early
