Came across your video looking at the joels hoists. It is what I expected, takes half a day to lift on single phase 😂. But beggers can't be choosers. Good to see it doesn't appear to be THAT hard to set up.
You can definitely see the satisfaction you got when you did that first lift... Priceless. The amount of work I had done off of jack stands and when I used a hoist for the first time I kicked myself for not doing it sooner. Love the vids mate keep em coming 👌
G'day from West Australia😉 Know how you feel buddy. I waited 26yrs for my first hoist in my business. Total of 43yrs working on customer cars next month. 1st hoist in 2005, second in 2012, both sold off. My 3rd hoist bought in 2021 for a building I rent. Wish I could put in a second one. ( second floor will interfere). Best investment any car guy can make, so long as roof space allows. Just watch your head on the hoist legs, they really hurt😂
Cant believe you didn't do the raise it a foot then do the shake test. Your world just changed, I remember for years not having a hoist, could imagine not having one now. shed is getting there fella.
I’m a mechanic been one for almost 25 years use a hoist every day but at home building my own car it’s jack stands and rolling around on the floor I hate it!!! Love a hoist at home!! Loving how your garage is coming along be party central before you know it
Nearly 50 and wanted my own hoist since 17 as an apprentice...end of this year fingers crossed. Will be so nice not have to lay on concrete lol Congrats mate.
getting a hoist was one of the best things i got when i got my new shed, your probably the same as me getting to old and busted to be rolling around on the ground, ha ha
Looking Sweet ive had my hoist for 10 years best thing i ever did, Love the coupe ive got a xb 4 door myself and know the feeling of hanging to drive it, mines been off the road for 2 1/2 years after rounding a cam lobe so now doing upgrade alloy heads etc always watch your vids cant wait to see and hear the Godzilla in the beast awesome stuff
Congratulations on the hoist…wait till you start pushing 60 years old because it doesn’t get any easier lol…my coupe has been painted for over a year now and it’s still on the rotisserie because I’m trying to get as much done (being careful of weight obviously) before I drop it on its wheels and I’m doomed to be forever grovelling around on the garage floor 😢. Love your videos and builds and all the best for the new year…shed looks amazing…cheers 🍻🍻🍻
Hey mate......... I am sure you mentioned it in a previous video, but fmd if I can find it.....what is the height of the walls.....3m?? because of council restrictions?? Thinking of going 4m ( for mezzanine storage ) on mine, but looks like heaps of room, especially for a hoist....... Cheers Daz
Congrats on the new hoist mate. I know that feeling when you need help you can never get it so having to improvise with material handling is almost always certain to happen. Good job. Can I ask what dimensions your shed is please ?
@@Philthybuilds NIce. I'm getting ready to build one exactly that same size but with 3.6m wall height. It looks huge inside. I have a slab at the moment but they always look bigger once they're put up.
@@Philthybuilds I had some resistance from council too , but luckily they approved it. Mine is a D.A. too because I have a bathroom in one corner and it took 8 months for them to grant the approval. It has been a very frustrating process, but I'm at the steel construction stage now the concrete work is done. Just trying to wrangle a few boys to help out. Wish me 🤞
A Shed, a Effie, a Coupe and now a hoist. You’re killing it mate!
The smile on your face says it all, great Christmas present for yourself. Love your channel mate

Massive shed/life goals there mate. Wicked shed, epoxy floor, clear floor hoist and a couple of killer cars to work on = winning. New Sub 👌

The vedio loomed like you were a bit taken back by the whole thing no surprise there
Good work bloke! How good it was so close to tour house. Looking more and more like the dream shed each video
That's awesome. Good job all around .

Thanks Tex! Happy new year bud 😁
Best feeling lifting ya car on your own hoist at home bud, hangen to c coupe on the road too feels like last time l seen it was drag challenge
Love it mate
I moved the powerpack to the back of the post. It tends to get in the way especially if you have baskets on the lifting arms.
Great stuff! Would love a hoist myself!
I have the same hoist 😉👍

Just found your channel. Awesome space and now a hoist.
Please tell me how big is the shed as I am planning a 9m x 10m myself.
Welcome to the channel Mark! It's a 15x9 with 3.2 walls
I went with the four post job we don’t get younger enjoy
❤
Getting there slowly buddy .. Just wondering how high are the side walls on your shed please ? And looks like a 12 deg pitch on the roof
Hey mate they're 3.2m walls, with an 11deg pitch. I had to do a little notch to one of the beams to make it fit
@@Philthybuilds so a 3.5mtr would have been perfect .. Thank you Phil .. I can't wait till you get stuck into the falcon ..love that beast .

I tried for 3.6 walls but the council didn't want to play. That'll be awesome
