Totally agree with Kyle. I was very worried about this series prior to the premiere and I was so thankful that it was treated with the utmost care in relation to how they built the world, handled the lore, and developed the characters. It's not just a great video game adaptation, it's also an incredibly well written story and one of the best shows I've seen in awhile.
Outside of the Yaogui/power armor CGI scene being very jank. The show is pretty good so far.
Goggins on the Goul is great literally how Id roleplay New Vegas back in the day.

I liked the scene, what I thought was bad were the radroaches, and the hallway scene with the ghoul, those brotherhood of steel power armor guys have lights on the helmets they could of easily turned on during the power cut scene to make the hallway dark.. I love this show I can't wait for season 2, if they made a skyrim show or movie I'd watch that too.

I wasn’t a fall out fan but after this show I am. I didn’t know anything about it and after seeing all this stuff I find myself looking up fallout lore. Awesome.
I tried to play fallout 4 (I think it’s known as the worst) and stopped after like 2 hours. Started watching the show and it’s making want to try a different fallout game because the show is so fucking good!
he 3rd one is trash, too, honestly. Tbh, the 4th is the palatable for a modern gamer. I love the old ones and new vegas the most, though.

I was worried they were going to ruin it but I watched a couple episodes and seems to be good.
Not only does the fallout show capture the look, feel and aesthetics of the games perfectly. The show is set up like a series of quests you would do. And they even touched on perks and karma and factions. So many little details they got perfect. Objectively 8/10 show. There is a major plot hole. But as a fan of the games. 11/10 easy. The plot hole is Hank not recognizing Moldaver during the marriage. And him also not realizing those raiders weren’t vault dwellers. He was a vault tech employee and overseer and definitely would have instantly known somthing was off. But still lets them come in and puts his daughter in danger. Other than that. It’s perfect.
Is there a reason slush waits until someone starts a sentence before talking himself. Someone will be mid sentence or be asked something and as soon as they start slush is talking over them. They’ll stop, he’ll stop, they’ll try to start again, and he STARTS AGAIN. I thought Kyle was bad but Jfc man shuuuuut up

I think this series is the final nail in the coffin of what fallout actual was and should be to what it now is.
It's kinda depressing that people only talk about Fallout 3 and 4 in regards to the show. Fallout 2 was, by far, the best game in the series. That's why Bethesda picked the title up in the first place.

Fallout 2 and 1 is a totally different beast than the latter games. It really comes down to preference. In terms of mainstream appeal, Fallout 4 will do alot better than an isometric top down game like fallout 1 and 2

enjoyed watching a actually civil conversation about fallout, I enjoyed the show so much I watched it 8 times, then I went and cleared space on my pc so I can do another playthrough of the games, and the difference in characters is nice to me Lucy felt like a 1st playthrough, Maximus like the 2nd playthrough and The Ghoul is like the 3rd playthrough the hit the fallout vibe with the chaos that can kick off at any moment, and the dark/satire humor, and the CGI on the mushroom clouds was great in the opening episode that shit gave me chills watching the fireball's.
I've never played a fallout game, actually dling new vegas on my deck at this moment. Hopefully I will enjoy it enough to try the "tv" series.
The series is based more off of FO4, and the game has better quality of life improvements but i agree NV story is better than FO4. Anyways hope you love it 🧟♂️ ☢

completely new to fallout, watched the show and instantly bought fallout 4 after finishing it
2 episodes in. Only thing I don't like is so far is how major injurys don't have any consequences and knight titus gets killed in his power armour by a bear...because he hit his head on a rock? But maximum flying around and smashes into the ground...
Fall damage in power armor doesnt exist.
Yao guai's are pretty strong, especially when the person fighting them is an idiot.
I like how they gave the guns no recoil or slide action, normally when I See that in TV shows/Movies it's a mark of Low-budget nonsense.
But then I remembered that Guns don't work the way they should in the Game Either!
It's nice to see that they incorporate the writers from the actual game company rather than just take the rights of something and f*** around with it

One thing Kyle must not have noticed in the Fallout show is that V.A.T.S is included. It’s shown in the second episode I believe, and they do it via jump cuts to the target that just got shot. It’s very well done and not jarring at all

Literally one of the best shows ive seen in years. Defiantly some dumb stuff with the gay stuff and the trans person but at least it isnt super annoying about it. But out side of shoe horning in some social nonsense it was 11/10 on point.

I doubt we'd see Synths, let alone the railroad. Anyone crossing the entire US in the Fallout universe is near impossible with how the wasteland is. And that goes double for the railroad who are kind of a ragtag group that wouldn't bother traverse that far either. Maybe they'll include a separate story on the east coast.

Shady sands is destroyed in 2277 when New Vegas takes place in 2281 which invalidates the whole of the game although I am open to the show explaining how the NCR is still so prevelant within new Vegas when their capital is destroyed

@@thekey1175 The power armor looks pretty good, the frog/lizard monster is not a canon creature (I think) but it looks like the style of a mutated fallout creature. The "action music" during fights feels almost like it's straight out of the game.
It's tricky for me because I shun everything after New Vegas, so I see things that DON'T seem to belong (Goggin's revolver, brotherhood of steel handgun, Sterling SMG), but I think they're faithful toward the newer games that I don't like.
Idk why so late but i realized today while listening to the latest one that this is a very poor podcast. Particularly for being nearly 700 episodes in.

The show is trash, check out Creetosis' video on the first episode. The writers aren't intelligent enough to make a story that makes sense at all. In every single scene, the characters do things that any normal person would never do
