- Catit Design SmartSift is a safe, quiet and easy system that does not require electricity to function - it is completely manual! SmartSift's no-motor operation saves you the hassle and money of having to replace any expensive electric parts.
I love this box. My cat took to it well. He is a BIG cat and he has plenty of room. He also likes to throw the litter around, but everything stays nicely inside. The lever works great, just use it slow and steady, tap it if you need, but everything goes into the lower tray. It use to be such a chore to scoop out the litter. Now it’s so easy!
We have 8 indoor cats trained to use the same toilet. I am a carer, so I deal with poop in work then I go home and continue poop cleaning for my kitties. Just bought this today, and I really hope this will save me some poop works. I just want to go home after my long shift to relax. I will be delighted if it works.
I bought a smart sift about two months ago best investment I’ve ever made this smart sift really works if you use it according to the directions . You can use this smart sift with plastic bags or without plastic bags. Because I have a cat that loves to dig and shred the plastic that goes in the upper tray I choose not to use a plastic bag in the upper tray and it’s just as well it’s perfectly fine, but I do use a plastic bag in the bottom drawer or the collection bin. The type of litter that I use is half lightweight litter and the other half a regular litter so that the pan is not too heavy , you don’t want to put too much stress on the cranking handle or The dumping lever. There is no excuse, your kitty should always have a clean litter box really it just takes a flip of the handle once a day and at the end of the week you pull out the bottom drawer and remove the plastic bag that has caught all of the waste and replace with a clean plastic bag. I’ve heard a few complaints about the handle for the lever on the side I cannot speak for the others I can only speak for my experience and what I see I believe as long as you’re mindful of the directions, you will be very happy and pleasantly surprised with smart sifft oh yeah my cat is 12 to 15 pounds and it’s roomy enough litter box for her😻
Whoever came up with this system is the Einstein of minimum effort litter box maintenance.
We have 8 cats.
Thank you - searching for a recommendation like this. We have 10 cats. And the litter cleaning never ends 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I have been using it for 2 months and it's really worth it..I have 4 cats and the size is really suitable for adult cat too.Usually I will clean all the part of this litter box once a week and for one day the litter box already full because I have 4 cat so I need to throw away the cat litter plastic under it.
Is it smell? Cause u dump for a week 😁
@@shebloomdaily for the cat poop under it I will throw it once a day..just the body part of the litter box I will clean it once a week..about the smell I think for me it's not that smelly
Just got mine today. I was needing to upgrade as the old roll over litter box from Walmart was starting to get snug for my girls. I couldn’t believe two of them were inside at the same time with plenty of space to move. Luckily they haven’t messed with the plastic bag that goes on the top basin. I try to pull the lever morning, afternoon, and before bed. It keeps their litter clean, and the smell is hidden inside the bottom basin. I put pine fresheners for cat litter in there.
I don’t know where to buy more bags. It came with four
Jnn hi kklllop
I like how this was in my recommendations. Also I want this. But at $65 woaaaaaaah! I'll stick with my Omega Paw
amazing but I always wonder why would these companies not come with bigger ones for bigger cats? its sad
This can't beat the litter robot!
To be honest they both do the same thing no joke just one has a bigger price tag than the other, they are both awesome litter bins.
Thank you, I would like to address your concern. SmartSift simplifies litter box maintenance with its no motor operating system. This means no electrical parts, and no break downs unlike other automatic cat pans that are 3 times the price! This innovative pan stands apart from ordinary cat pans as it’s a convenient litter maintenance system that eliminates the need to scoop and reduces mess and odors. We feel that SmartSift simplifies the life of cat owners and most importantly is cat friendly!
You did not address the concern or the question....
Try turning on the machine when the cat is inside of it, get rid of the whole mess in one day.
hahaha
I'm a cat lover (I have 2) and I found this comment to be funny. I'm giving it a thumbs up for the humor :)
Jmack1lla Yep.........
That's messed up lmao
Actually laughed out loud. Even though we love our cats (8) there are those days......
I find this box is pretty small inside, it's to bad it is not bigger! I have large cats and although I like the idea of easy cleaning, I don't think some of them would appreciate a small space to go
That is my concern also, and the plastic piece the cats step on that catches the litter inside takes away from the space the cats have inside doesnt it ??? If these were not problems I would love it !
I love the idea of this box. But what about the stuff that sticks to the back of the box or other areas!?
Have fun washing that sifter area with a pressure washer when it gets clogged!
Just purchased this, can anyone help, ? Cannot get the tray to lock?
Great to see the interest in SmartSift!
Make sure to visit the website for useful information and tips on getting started.
Would be great if my cats weren't avid scratchers. The lining gets shredded within a day of putting it in.
This costs an arm and a leg in my country
This litter box uses sand. How about pine wood? Can it be used?
You have to use clumping litter.
@@luthiersdaughter9134 Thanks for the reply!
I plan on only getting one kitten right now I have been with out a pet for ten years
How is it? Mind sharing your thoughts? Am planning to get one soon.
I just received a Liter Lou from Chewy! It was $399.00 and had 5 color light options. I love it!
I was thinking of getting a one is that opening to high for a kitten does anyone know?
How about the cat pee? What will happen?
Nice id for a litterbox , but my cats would shred the plasticbag in peasses in one day.
I'd be a bit worried about the cats shredding the liners with their claws when they go to try and bury their business... Are the liners for the top-part absolutely necessary?
I know this is 2 years old... But the cats don't have access to the liners. They are underneath the grates
I know im really late but, no it isnt ive tried it without and it works fine.
i hv stopped using mine. its too much trouble. stuff gets stuck at all kinds of places. its a waste of time to use this. pity. i had high hopes...
Para Colombia que precio tiene.... En qué página se consigue...
you should ship it worldwide, I'd get one :)
Save your money. We've tried all kinds of these "self-cleaning" litter boxes, electric and otherwise. None of them really work well. They all seem to end up being more work than just taking a litter scoop and scooping the old fashioned way.
Hey, did you try the Omega Paw Roll'N Clean Cat Litter Box? What do you think about it?
+Lunazul Didn't try that particular box, but, upon examination, it appears to be the same basic design/idea as all the other roll boxes.
R. McBride Uh, ok... I thought it was a good box and was considering if it would worth it, but I'm buying a regular one instead. Thanks for sharing your experience, you has just really helped me to save my money :)
+Lunazul Glad to be of help. 😊
The only good design I see is Litterloo. It actually has pee guards to keep your cat from peeing on the sides or the sifter.
I really I wanted to order but you don't ship to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. :(
odors?
This wouldn't work with senior arthritic cats because the entrance is too high off the floor, they'd never make the jump and if they did get into the box how would they leave? Probably works for young cats but not senior.
I have a petit 20 years old cat and I put a little step by the door, she can get in and out just fine.
Unfortunately, height is too high, not suitable for older cats, hoping to improve .
Kayb Pie I heard someone say there are small stairs for pets. Might be an option.
How much does it cost?
Tried this one and it actually failed during the assembly, rickety as all heck. (Yes. I followed the directions quite well.) Poor fitment was the issue and flimsy construction as well. This box is also WAY too small for a cat to comfortably fit in, AND if your cat likes to spray up as it urinates this box will be tragically unsuited because they will jet their urine up and over the edge of the internal rotating tray and even cause urine to drip out of the box to your home's floor and walls. in short? DO NOT BUY!!!
Jay Greenblatt idk about you but it works fine for me.. Im sorry if it doesnt for you though..
Spray? Have you not neutered your cat?
Well you know how your cat pees ,so why would you even get one in the first place if that's how your cat pees?
@@imok3487 one of my cats stands up as he pees. Neutered cats can still spray, but I suspect he means the way kitty pees it sprays all over
is it too high for munchkin cat? anyone have experience?
I'm confused, how easy is it to remove the litter portion where the cat's do their business. my cats would demolish any plastic bags by covering their business, so I would have to be able to take it out to clean it periodically.
You really don’t need a plastic bag in the top bin and you would take it apart to remove the plastic bag. I myself do not use a plastic bag because my cat shreds everything up I find it much easier not to use a plastic bag and at the end when it’s actually time to clean it thoroughly meaning dumping the old litter out washing and putting in the new really really easy just like any other litter box.
*I absolutely love this cat litter box I have a big cat and as soon. **do7.pl/CatitBox** I hear him using the box I go pull the lever and pull the bottom box out instead of removing the bag I tapped it that way I just dump the dropping in the toilet and flush ...that eazy!!! I had to super glue the lever to the hole it goes in because some time it snapped of ..but other then that minor issue I absolutely love it I wouldn't dare leave dropping in the bottom box a day let alone a week.. so if you're doing that of course is gonna stink but with my minor tweaks I have no problem like I said love the box oh and make sure after you pull the lever you snap it back on the little hook or else you're cat will tilt the box in the inside when using the box*
Never flush cat litter. Look it up. Dispose of properly.
Brilliant im gonna buy it soon for my cat :)
I have four cats..can it handle that many? Also I have cats that like to pee and poop on the SIDES of the litter box. Is this thing going to handle that without a mess?
Four cats... You're playing with fire, buddy. I don't think this product is for you, no. Too expensive considering you're still gonna have a mess on your hands and need to hand-clean this thing a couple times a month (if not more).
I'd just keep scooping shit if I were you. You try and eliminate that one grossly tedious aspect of being owned by a cat (or four...), and you just end up with a plethora of other nasty things to worry about.
+suzanne skinner I realize this comment was a year ago but, just in case, I thought I'd reply....Why not try the Omega Paw Roll'N Clean Cat Litter Box? It might be just the thing.
The only good design I see is Litterloo. It actually has pee guards to keep your cat from peeing on the sides or the sifter.
@@mosab643 Only problem is that it looks like it will never be produced. :( Even though it's probably the best and simplest solution.
basicly like flushing the toilet
huge disapointment.
let me start by saying that i have tried at least 4 different types of litter. theres just so much you can blame on the litter alone.
1. the bags. their design is flawed. the bottom part has these corners or crannies. so more often than not i get pee lumps getting stuck there. so i have to open the thing and starts messing with it (making the whole point of the litter box pointless).
at times the lump is so big that as it falls down to the second bag it drags with it the first bag that it got stuck on. so not only do i need to free the poor lump, but i have to redo the bag.
2. another thing about the bags is that it relies on your cats being cool with the fact that under the litter and on the sides there is a plastic bag. my cats were not, as they constantly scratched the bottom of it, so it had holes in the bottom. also they would sometimes get a hold of the bag and get it out of place, forcing me to redo it. so i had 2 reason, instead of 1, to mess around with the litter box.
3. that filter tray. stuff get stuck on it. especially the lumps of pee, so i had to grab a scoop and clean it like you clean a bbq grates.
4. smell. heres the thing about the tray that stores all the waste: it doesnt seal off the smell. i mean, sure, i can just pull the lever and throw it right to the trash afterwards but i was lead to believe that you can just keep it there for a few days and then throw it all at once.
so the setup i had was pulling the lever, taking out the waste tray, throwing everything inside to the trash but keeping the bag inside instead of throwing it along with the waste because i dont wanna throw like 40 bags in one week and stuff doesnt get stuck in it anyways.
5. size. its big, but small. overall the thing is massive, the door is a bit higher than most litter boxes and the the height is nothing to sneeze at, BUT, the main part where your cat does it's business is pretty small if not very small. add the filter tray to it and it becomes even smaller, but not that much. not only that, the door itself is for smaller cats and my big cat needs to squeeze just to get inside (and the roof just opens up a bit whenever he does). so even tho this box will take a lot of space, big cats need something bigger.
i wanted to return it. the thing cost me around 210 USD at the store next to my building. knowing the price, i kept in my house the HUGE box that it came in, knowing that if i wanted to return it for some reason i would need it.
so after 2 weeks or more, and after i gave it all the chances in the world, i got fed up and told the guy from the store i dont wanna see that thing in my house anymore, since it has become, at that point, a monument of my failure, reminding me every day what a huge mistake i made and the money i wasted.
so heres the kicker:
because the cats tore the plastic bag all the time, the plastic was stained and with scratch marks. so i couldnt return it! not only did it fail to keep the plastic from the waste, but it plastic bag made my cats scratch it and thus scratch the plastic.
all in all, a waste of money. suitable for one cat. one medium sized cat. 2 would be too much for it.
I agree, it's not that efficient but for me it's the best thing I have right now. I just removed the bag where the cat litter was, since I saw no point in it.
This is the best review I have ever read. You answered all of my questions.
Thank you for your very detailed and honest review! Probably saved a lot of people a lot of money and anxiety.
Is it possible without a bag?
Very nice. But is it worth the price (I get at least 3 ordinary ones for the same price)..??
Is there an option for older cats with arthritis? I love the concept, but my old boy wouldn't be able to get in and out of it without some steps... :/
You could add a little step or two for him.
Precisamos uma dessa no Brasil! Por favor eu preciso de uma!😻
What´s your comment/review?
already have one....
donde loncompro cuanto cuesta soy de Perú

Werde es wieder weg tun
$99 for that??? I've always like Catit stuff because it's usually a good deal. But at $99 that's not a good deal. I would have bought it at $40 or even $50.
Doesnt work very well; my cats pee through the grate making a freakin mess.. Im finally investing into a litter robot. :-/
Did you purchase the robot? I am about to buy one, is it worth it?
@@karenaddison9925 i did and I hate it. Does not control odor like you would think. It says you only have to thoroughly take apart and clean it every 6 months, yeah right. More like every 2-3 weeks and omg what a pain. I've tried just fully emptying and wiping clean, nope. If the poop is even remontely wet it smears inside the globe. What a waste of money. My personal opinion, the littermaid was better. I went back to it and put it a cat litterbox cabinet...pretty much no odor and way easier to clean. I bought the most automatic litterbox i could find for health reasons, thinking it'd be worth it....definitely not.
I want to buy this tool, Im in Indonesia
Me 2. will comment soon
This is not working for odour, instead of that it is stuck inside and very unpleasant smell spreads sorrounding. I finally take out the tray outside and made a good house with the box. My £50 pound is going to bin.
when i can buy toilet
Home depot
Must be really really really ex
It’s so badly made and the reviews are TERRIBLE. I’m not going to do it and I suggest you don’t either. Too bad. Ideas was good. Bad execution because they wanted to make it cheap and charge an arm and a leg. Greedy. Bad product. Nope.
eu sou a unica que estou falando portugues a amiga da minha mãe que é a minha vizinha tem uma gata que se chama sofia ela é uma gracinha
Worst litter box ever. Don’t buy this!
