  • Welcome and happy Sunday. Today, I'm playing with the Bloom Technique on some 4x4 Tiles/Coasters. This acrylic pouring technique is very fun, does require great color choices and most importantly, Australian Floetrol. I hope you enjoy this Bloom Tutorial video.

    Thank you so much for including problems you come across too - it makes you appear ‘normal,’ - like us! There are so so many things to remember to do when creating this type of art…..

    Very beautiful set of coasters. This color arrangement has a striking effect. I want to try some techniques with this color scheme. Losing your coaster added a little fun to your video.

    Thank you so much for showing not only your successes but also your fails! Sometimes these videos make the artists look perfect. But I guess all the failures lead to success. Your work is awesome. Thank you for sharing! 🎉😊❤

    Huge S/O to u!!! I just finally got my first bottle of Aussie Floetrol. I've been trying my first attempts at blooms and was not getting near what i was expecting. I cleaned up for the night and came across this video and noticed how u were blowing and had way more layers. I immediately went to try another and it worked! Not perfect like urs but way better than the previous. I'll keep practicing. Thanks again and keep making ur wonderful content

    Forgot to mention...loved that you showed the tile spinning off without a paint base. I would not have known.

    What do you use to seal them? I've tried Makers Magic, but the brush strokes are visible and it is not as shiny.

    Is cell activator the same as silicone?

    • @Studio15Acrylics
      @Studio15Acrylics  9 місяців тому

      No, silicone is an additive that you can add to your paints or or directly to a wet paint already on your substrate that will make cells. A cell activator, which i use is Australian Floetrol and Amsterdam paints. I don't use silicone. The cleaning needed before varnishing or applying resin I think is a huge paint in the butt.
