Today is my birthday. I’ve been so unhappy w my cells and blooms. I’m thinking why am I having so much trouble??? I’m accomplished at resin so thought cells would not be too much of a challenge. Wrong! You’ve given me a gift today and I’m so greatful. Thanks for the tutorial and I’m gonna try this today to give myself a fun gift.
Happy Birthday, Janice! I hope you do try this simple bloom recipe and just remember that Amsterdam brand paints cell easily when mixed with Floetrol only- about 1 part paint to 3-4 parts Floetrol. I always use the Amsterdam paints as my cell activator and haven't been disappointed! Hope you have a wonderful day of painting!!! ❤️🙏❤️
Happy Birthday, a year late but I just saw your post. I am having the same problems and this video has helped me so much. Definitely spend your special day doing what makes you happiest in life. We all need that from time to time. 🎂 🍰
“I spend the next few minutes ruining it even more”. Cracked me up and reminded me that this is supposed to be fun, so I will stop being so hard on myself. Thank you ❤. It was a beautiful save!
I cannot get consistent cells to save my life, and I’ve watched way too many videos than I care to admit. This is by far the best video ever, so clear and no holding back with secrets. So generous hearted of you to share. Thank you so much!
You are very responsive and generous in giving replies to those who write on, with questions. Very few people, in most all disciplines never offer answers. You are a good person! Great artist too, of course.
Trish Taylor Just to help clarify & elaborate on the part about “when you request a color to be mixed at places like home depot or lowe’s”...tintable house paint usually comes in 3 different tones A, B, C or 1, 2, 3...the difference is A/1 is white & used just as is or for tinting to light color values, B/2 is a medium tone (off white) & is used for tinting to medium color values, & C/3 is a deep tone (more cream colored) & is used for tinting to dark color values. You will see right on the cans an “A” (or level 1) Base, or “B” & so on. The paint companies do this because the tone of the base will impact the saturation of the color you tint it to...so the experts tinting your paint for you wouldn’t want to use a white (level A or 1) base to tint to a color like dark purple or charcoal grey, they would need a level C (or 3) because they wouldn’t get the true tone you’re looking for using the lighter color of base. 😉
Thank you so much for simplifying the bloom technique. I figured out most of it the hard way, and have finally been successful and happy with my results. Now when I see the simple version that you display, it's just a confirmation that I'm on the right track. How cool is that? I'm not opposed to paying for a class, and have done so but after seeing your video for mixing, I realize that many other artists tend to convolute the lesson they're trying to convey, causing the listener to get confused about brands, and types way too easily. Also - to those out there that don't know, almost ANY acrylic can be used with this - even old paints you thought of throwing out. You're a breath of fresh air. Thanks for sharing.
I would like to know how you found them. I am not UA-cam savvy and I cannot find them. I have been to 3 or 4 different videos and cannot find them. Thanks in advance.
Thank you so much for a fantastic video. I love the fact that you didn't complicate it with all the "options" or the "if you don't have this try this!" To the point and easy to understand. Beautiful bloom to top it off!
Susan...As an old artist I have a suggestion that has helped me over the years. Get a small 12” X 12” canvas. Paint it with a white or black base paint. Add 3 colors to the center of the canvas. Doesn’t matter what colors. You are just “playing”. No pressures. Grab your blow dryer and have fun. Don’t like it when finished? Scrape it off and do another. Remember you’re having fun, not painting a masterpiece. With love, Cynthia Dee
@@lynnkile2463 if you are starting new it is best to limit use of paint.. use 3 to 4 colours . Also it is best to know some basic info on colourwheel ..there are few colours that when mixed they become muddy so it is best to avoid those colours!

You're welcome, Susan and please let me know if you have questions! 💙😊💙
Wow Lisa, this was quite an experience with me holding my breath as you wrecked the first one. Ultimately you reprieved the wreck and turned it into a beautiful painting. I love the colors. Great job. Love it.
Thank you for sticking with it, Sunita! ❤️🙏😊
I stayed away from the bloom technique until now. I am in the process of buying pigments and wanted to find the best products to mix with. I am definitely going to try your mix first. Buying supplies locally at a paint store is way better than waiting for delivery 🙃. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and talent with the rest of us. Your bloom is gorgeous 😍
Thank you, Christine and best wishes on your bloom creations!!!
J'adore cet art!!!qu'est le pourring !
merci ... je l'aime aussi mais attention ... ça peut être très addictif! MDR!
I would love to first thank you for this video. I'm watching videos to learn this hobby and I'm Blessed to see your work. While you were mixing I went to the comments to see if you interacted with your followers and You did not fail me. Thanks for that!!

Thank you much for sharing! It was a blessing to see a real true video. Your first design didn’t turn out how you wanted, so you did take 2 . So real and down to earth! 💖❤️👍😍😊

Thank you so much for showing your base mix using polyurethane. I did not know you could use that.
You're welcome, Ken! In my most recently updated recipe, I don't use it at all: ua-cam.com/video/M3qH-CSBaGg/v-deo.htmlsi=HPGefRL7emAR4nsM

Thanks so much, Maria! It's a much easier recipe with just 2 ingredients then thin with floetrol as needed. Please let me know how it turns out!❤️🙏😊
