The white walkers and the wall in the north... its reference to dangerous gog and magog tribes that lived in north in ancient times and its said in Quran and hadiths that Dhul-Qarneyn who is thought to be Alexander the Great build an iron wall to protect people from them. They will be let out before the End.
Profoundly disappointing anticlimax to GOT
The incredible potential and the buildup the whitewalkers made as well as unbelievable fear they gave off all thrown away almost makes me wanna cry.

At this point...I just wished the whole season 8 never existed!
For me I just ignore all of season 8 and make up my own headcannon of what happened after season 7.

I do find the White Walkers to be incredibly interesting. The White Walkers and Flood seem to be two of the most intriguing and destructive species within popular fiction, especially since we basically get two different versions of the White Walkers in both the books and tv show. Both are frightening in their own right.
Howdy Megan! Great to see you're still tuned in! And you are right they are both frightening in their own way. Have you read about the nights king in the books? (Not to be confused with the Night King in the television series). I think he was a stark working on the wall who fell in love with a white walker and had a child with her.
FilmComicsExplained yeah, I read all of the books around the time season 3 and 4 were on the air. The lore is very interesting and whilst it isn't anywhere near as extensive as Lord of the Rings, it makes for a fun read. What i do enjoy about the Game of Thrones book universe is that some of the history could be myth or legend, much like our own history and the characters feel more grounded in reality because of that. There is plenty still unknown about the Nights King, as we don't actually know much about who he was, only the sadistic nature of his marriage to the Nights Queen (as i will call her). Plenty of viewers of the show seem to forget that the Nights King is in fact canon in the show, he just hasn't been expanded upon like our resident Night King, who was really only created as a face for viewers to recognize when it comes to the White Walkers. Of course, that has lead plenty of fans to speculate if the Night King could be a Stark as well, due to the clear connection he has to both Bran and Jon. I do enjoy the slight changes that were made to the White Walkers, as I remember they were described as extremely beautiful but incredibly intimidating with an actual language that wasn't simply just the sound of ice screeching. Some things obviously do have to change from paper to screen, as some viewers may not intrepret how dangerous and frightening the White Walkers truly are if they also didn't look dangerous and frightening. What i find most intriguing is the limited history we have on them. Did they stay North of the Wall because they somehow made a deal with humans? Why are they choosing to build their army now? What do they truly want? Does it have to do with the Starks and Targaryen's, mainly Jon? Two clear answers we have is that the Children created them and that the only reason they can now cross the Wall is because of Bran, seeing as he now has the mark the Night King left on him, as the Wall had similar properties of magic inside of it that were used to keep the Three Eyed Raven protected, which sadly lead to his eventual death. I do apologize for making this so long, it's just such an interesting topic.
No dont apologize, it is a very interesting topic! and I agree that you cant keep everything in the books when doing a film or tv adaptaion, and some changes have to be made to reflect the difference between what people imagine in the books and what they see. With regards to why the white walkers stayed in the north, I think its possible they had an agreement to keep to the land of always winter, and in return they would be left alone. We see many examples of the possibility of some sort of truce, especially with some of the people like craster who lived north of the wall. Seeing as so many wildlings migrated to the north, the walkers probably saw this as breach of their agreement and is the reason why they are heading south. There is also definitely some sort of link between the nights king, the Starks and the Targaryens. I agree about your theory with Bran and the three eyed raven being the reason they can cross!!
Do you think its possible that young Bran stark was also Bran the builder?
Is it also possible that the wall was built with the aid of the white walkers? I mean it looks to be made up of both Ice and Magic, just like the walkers themselves :)
FilmComicsExplained I certainly agree with your point about the truce, as that does seem to be the most likely option with the evidence given. When it comes to Bran, i honestly think he's just our Bran. I highly doubt he's good old Bran the Builder, people in Game of Thrones often share names and I see no possibility of him actually being able to go back in time. Him being able to somewhat interact with his father makes sense, but only to a certain degree. Seeing as Bran is there but only mentally, any physical presence (except for someone such as the Night King and the Three Eyed Raven) wouldn't be given much attention to. My theory is that Bran tries to go back and warn the Mad King, causing him only to go more insane from Bran telling him to burn the White Walkers. We shall see, I really hope more books come out as there has been an obvious but slow decline in writing since season 6 of the show. Perhaps some of our theories might eventually come to pass.

If I was in charge of got series, season 8 would be longer first,second we would have the white walkers be the focus of four episodes, pushing as far south as kings landing where the war ends not with arya stark deus ex machina appearing out of nowhere but instead jon snow who with the help of her battles the night king, until with arya tricking the night king into diverting his attention, jon kills the night king with the dragon glass blade from behind , ending his seven season effort to defeat the white walkers.Then, having also during season 8 so far shown danny becoming insane, but without the dothraki forces as they did perish during the first episode, then have her be killed by jon but instead of of bran being king jon becomes king as he rid the world of another tyrant, and as tyrion says has the best story, but then jon who doesn’t like being king and never sought it chooses to refuse the throne, giving it to sam his friend or another suitable person not bran, and wrapping up the story.Instead of arya going to sail west, have her instead decide to spend some time by her sisters side in winterfell, and then join jon on his journey beyhond the walls.
They represent technology transpiring artificial energy into babies formulating "the walking dead". The main one is the only one that could go into the water in the dragon scene because it's not a whitewalker. It represents the "1" percent that uses them as a weapon. That's why the only way to stop them was to kill the "king". Hence the night that will never end. Thenn we got black mirror a little less subliminal

deathwish dude, that's only your opinion. AoT is rather quite good, especially in the latest chapters. The characters are a shade of grey and they change and grow as the series went on.
Some spoilers ahead.
As for the titans, the explanation in the manga is not exactly true as we don't know whether or not they're real, like legends being passed down through generations, distorted and change as they passed on or even as propaganda by the Marleys that used it for justification of the racism and oppression of the Eldians.
Even the world outside the island couldn't agree on what's actually correct. Some said that the titan powers were granted by devils, others in the latest chapter said it was granted by god. We just don't know the actual truth.

FilmComicsExplained no problem man, it’s a great channel, glad to see it on the rise. As a suggestion(feel free to disregard 😉), would you consider doing the Combine from the Half-Life series? Or perhaps one of the Combine alien races, such as the advisors? I know there’s not much to go on, but I suppose that’s what makes them so appealing 😂.

Ozymandias It kind of makes sense in an ironical sense the thing that gave you you incredible strength is also your greatness weakness.
SPOILER ALERT DONT READ AHEAD IF NOT CAUGHT UP!!: that seems to be a common theme in GoT, like the dagger that littlefinger used to help start chaos and advance was the same dagger used by arya to end him.

FilmComicsExplained I like you're point that the white walkers are fighting for something. And I think that "something" is their existence. Think about it, they are smart, hell, the night king remebered one of Denarys' (Probs didn't spell that right) dragons fell into the lake, even though he was fighting a massive battle. And so he probably knlws that the humans will wipe them out if given the chance.

Honestly due to how well written the show is I sometimes forgot the Whites and the white walkers even exists in the show so everytime they pop out, shown or even mentioned by major characters mostly Jon’s part of the story there is a slight feeling of excitement in me. Can’t really wait for the next season to arrive.

This was my issue with the shows portrayal of the books, also the childrens connection with their wolves. In the books its not only Bran that worgs, Arya is in Nymeria when she pulls her mother from the river and worgs into the castles cats. Jon often patrols and hunts in Ghost. I feel these things will or at least would have had great significance in how the books end the war.

George RR Martin has said nobody in GoT is pure good or pure evil. People assume the White Walkers are just bad guys based on the fact that is how they are presened, but we really are told very little of them. Do not know their motives, needs or wants. Can not wait to see what the view on them is after it all ends and we learn more

Deathstroke basically, In the strain a parasite outbreak turns people into vampires in New York City. The vampires are called strigoi, and are pretty much feral... Except for certain ones.

well the answer might lie in the phrase "fire and ice" with humans as fire and walkers ice. would be interesting if the night king would speak to say tyrion or jon and break any preconceptions regarding their goals and abilities. just imagine night king one side and and dany, jon on the other three heads for the dragon anyone?

very possible as the only other races we know of that can truly think are the children of the forest who are almost or are dead. the giant's who seem to be gone. dragons with only 2 left and maybe other eggs that can be hatched and the direwolfs with only 2 left thousand's of miles from each other as well as brother and sister

The infection in the movie Doom. It had The Rock from WWE and the guy who played Vaako in Chronicle of Riddick and it's other movie. The infection i think was some kind of mutation that would make who ever had it harder to kill and crazy. Only one person who got the infection didn't change. Though it was unknown if he was just resistant and he would turn later or if he was immune. He could've even been like Alice from the Resident Evil movies and somehow bonded with the virus.

In the books the white walkers always existed in the north, but in the show they were created by the children. The night king in the books was a crow in the knights watch and fall in love with the leader of the white walkers, the corpse queen.

I see the Night King mentioned as the first WW over and over again but wasnt the first Night's King 13th Lord Commander which means there already were WW when he came to be?
theres something with the night king and the fire god... same powers but kinda opposite, or theres just a power difference.
seems like maybe fire god is giving some or all of his power to bring back the dead for the night king to use....fire and ice...not fire vs ice...ya know...fire demon baby looked like he'd get along with night king... what good has fire god done...killed armies that could have helped fight night king...

Honestly, probably an unpopular opinion but the Night King is my favorite character in the series (Though I haven't read the books) along with Tyrion, Bronn and Sandor Clegane, of course Tyrion Bron and Sandor are a favorite to many fans, probs all.
Also another unpopular opinion is that I actually like that Viserion is now part of the White Walkers, now the Night King has his own Dragon, Daenerys is going to have a challenge defeating both Night King and Viserion because I thinl Daenerys still loves Viserion.
Humans, giants, dragons aren't the only things. Basically any living thing can be turned, remember the wight Bear that led to Thoros's death?
