      Awesome sounds like a great machine. With gas pressure washer used is a way to go especially if you now how to maintain one. Electric pressure washers are a different story and hit or miss you have no idea the abuse that electric motor has been under. At least the gas one you can rebuild the engine.

    Actually, if you want to use the stock Ava hose with a gun like MTM, you need a Nilfisk to M22 female quick release adapter. If someone wants to use another M22 hose-gun setup, you need a Nilfisk to M22 male adapter.

      Nilfisk are not sold in the U.S. I tried some of
      Those adapters for Karcher and one said Nilfisk, but it had a more square like profile on two sides and this AVA is round and it would not fit. If you got a link to one available in the U.S. that would be awesome.

      I hope one day their higher end washers will

    • @anton8446
      @anton8446 3 місяці тому +1

      @@CarsWithKeav to fit an aftermarket stubby gun I had to order 2 additional connectors: 1 - quick fitting adapter for hose (for Karcher/Lavor/Bosch type) one side and M22 14mm female from another, 2 - male M22 14mm to 3/8 CQ and you are in the game. As for Ava’s top range washers, they are pretty cool but pretty demanding for a voltage, had read a lot of negative feedback about that issue especially in UK, I’m from Ukraine and EU version seems doesn’t have this issue or I’m just lucky enough 😂. My previous 035 nozzles weren’t enough for p80 machine and it has been switching off after continuous washing (I think it was a pump overwatering) so I’ve purchased a set of 040, now is everything ok, also a stock 1.25 mjjc pro v2 nozzle wasn’t enough for machine so I did change it on 1.4 recently but haven’t testing yet

    Looked at this and looked at the big boi washr pro, and im glad i bought the big boi. In terms of build quality and performance the big boi decimates the ava when i got to test them both. Save your hard earned dollars and cry once buy once with the big boi washr pro coming from a normal person that uses it every second weekend for 2-3 personal cars.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  4 місяці тому

      Big Boi Pro is a pretty good machine for sure and I would probably pick it as well just based on numbers, but my machine is having issues like many are currently. They are having some reliability issues with some units and have fixes being worked on. All current shipment are on hold because of it. I myself can't compare these two based on cost $250 vs $700 plus the Big Boi is just a unit and a foam cannon you still have to buy a sprayer and hose and if you want the same quality you will be at closer to $900. AR and Active are great alternatives as well. Appreciate the feedback and experience will help others in the comment section. Mind me asking are you in Europe? These have only been out for a few weeks in the U.S. and the 230v version of the Big Boi would be totally different as well. I hear the AVA Master P80 is pretty good and would be a better comparison to the Big Boi.

      @@CarsWithKeav I can't say for having issues, mine has not missed a beat and its first few weeks I smashed it with constant use on bikes, cars, caravans and even a few trucks to make sure the weight wasn't just plecebo for quality. I also don't mind paying more for something that feels quality and not plasticky and with the weight of the machine itself I can understand why it's so expensive. Also with the hose and such, not coming as a standard I can understand as most people will have quick connect guns and hoses as its better to be universal rather than dedicated, but for what you get for the extra really I would expect it to be more expensive as the hose itself here in Australia would normally cost the extra charge plus some. I mean look at a kranzle for doing any detailing most people change out the gun and sometimes hose with never looking at the standard stuff again. I showed a friend of mine who owns a detail shop/business and he's dropping his 5 gas washers for the bigbois due to almost silent and no fumes and easily serviced because of in his words "that thing is f**king impressive for a tight little machine".

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  4 місяці тому

      @@auditek1993 I totally get it I am more in line with that type of setup, but there are many that don't care about all that expensive stuff and just want something like this that they can use every now and then. The upgraded setup niche is very small and most people out there have no clue. Only hardcore enthusiasts and detailers know about the better machines. Since my audience is so broad I like to show all options and let them decide. I'm jealous you have 230v there in Australia that has been the problem here getting that Pro Motor to work on our 110v systems the capacitor was just not sized correctly. They are working on it though. Thanks for the feedback really appreciate it.

    I’m from the uk and was pointed towards this over the big boi duo for cost reasons. I have a unit where I want to clean my headstones that are stored, my van from time to time and I will need a 40/50 m hose to clean outside my shop etc. will this work good with a hose that long and will an aftermarket hose work? You said you can’t use them in the video? I have my own gun from a detailer and a mjjc foam canon version 2 or 3 I can’t remember!

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  2 місяці тому

      In the UK you have much more options to adapt their hose or pressure washer to your own hose or gun. I think it would work great there as with the 230v power grid you have it will perform much better than it would here in the U.S. on our 110v. Look up Nilfisk adapters one of them helps adapt the AVA. It’s just not something sold here in the U.S.

      @@FrankoDetails I have not had any smell. My system always stays closed up so no chance for any smell to get out if there is any. I mean in the end it’s wet plastic and if air can get to it and escape then it’s going to possibly smell. Just like a sink with no pea trap or vent the smell will come out.

    Clunky looking and proprietary connections make this a big NO! If I could use this with my accessories without adaptors it might be a different story.

      From another video, it seems not proprietary just European.

      Some comments say there are some adapters not easily available in the U.S. the adapters are a bit bulky from what I saw. There are like 5 different adapter types I gave up after buying two of them. Proprietary for me meaning not easily adapted.

    All I see here is a butt ugly pressure washer with junk proprietary accessories. It’s cheap, yeah … but it’s also cheap. You know?

      Not really cheap at $250. It’s not for me as it’s proprietary, but it’s the best quality accessories I have seen for any pressure washer made of plastic and in this price range. Plenty of people don’t mind proprietary which is why I don’t judge things as junk just because I wouldn’t use them.

      @@CarsWithKeavI do get your point. However, what makes it junk is that it IS proprietary, no path for upgrading or modifications and there’s virtually zero support for the product. The pressure washer itself is still going to fail at some point. It’s in the design. So … junk. $250 for a half way decent hose, that’s about it.

      @@Reaper-Jim Totally understand what you are saying it’s junk to you and anybody who wants to upgrade. Many others who don’t care about upgrading would think different. Not sure what you mean about no support they have a 10 year warranty and just launched in the U.S. so not many cases yet to know their support level. It is rebuildable as well for longevity. Totally respect your opinion and is valid. I look at things from all perspectives not just my little niche of modifying and upgrading.

      @@CarsWithKeav I would argue anyone spending $250 on a pressure washer isn’t buying it for the accessories. Therefore, if the accessories are junk, the unit is junk because you’re stuck with what it comes with. No support = who do you call? What’s their email? What’s their address?
      You’re trying awfully hard to push a product you know isn’t up to industry standards. Makes one question.
