That looks like a '73 Chevelle/Malibu to me, so I looked up the stock specs. A two barrel 350 in that year would have had 145 HP & 255 torque (on a good day). If your automation 540 was snowmobile sized and the trunk was stuffed with helium balloons you might still have a chance...
It depends, for flat out usage a V8 is better, as turbos absolutely kill fuel economy when spooled up, for regular driving however it would be more efficient.
Hey Mustard, have you considered doing a tutorial on transferring engines from Automation to BeamNG for those of us that are, at best, only slightly more proficient with a PC than Derek Zoolander? I've tried following the one that everyone has probably seen, but I can't seem to make it work.
I put a pushrod 500CC 3 cylinder engine in a 2600lbs sports car. I was able to get 34 horsepower out of it, but even then, the transmission gears are so tall that you go through 6 literal gears before you make it to 40mph

I think you should build an engine like the BMW M12 1.5L I4 turbo engine used by Brabham in F1 back in the 1980's. It might not last very long though on full boost!
Ferrari made a 2 litre V8 from 1975 to 1985 there was a naturally apirated Version with 4 Weber 34 DCNF Carburetors 153 hp @ 6800 and 125 ft lbs @ 4200 and two turbocharged Versions one with 217 hp @ 7000 177 ft lbs @ 4800 and the stronger Version with 251 hp @ 7000 242 ft lbs @ 4100
Would do fairly well on a motorcycle perhaps lol

If you make the whole car, at the end there's an "export to beam ng" option and then it shows up in your mod folder in beam

The thing about small displacement V8's is you should ditch the pushrods and go for a DOHC or QOHC setup to get the maximum potential out of them.
