Great ideas for using this type of fabric. However, if this is for us beginners, please show us the finished quilt or show us what an attic window block looks like. Also, especially at the beginning, show us more views from above. We got lots of very articulate explanations and video of the speaker pointing at things at the table that we couldn't see.
I think if I was using a gradient fabric for that first block, I would simply make the left border the full length of the block, then sew the black square (diagonal seam) onto the end and fold back, to preserve the colour gradient flow. That would save another seam as well... Just a thought.
Would like to have seen that first quilt from above to see the full affect. Nice video.. Will have to look other attic window videos up!
