    • @inky4690
      @inky4690 3 роки тому

      @@nomongosinthaworld Not with the muscle snatch. The movement is to explode through the legs to move the weight up, without relying on contact. upper body strength is achieved through other movements, and upper body strength isn't as key as lower body force production. its really more having a strong back for the pull, strong shoulders, triceps, etc for overhead stability

    It is slightly annoying that people just assume training is constantly improving because nowadays everything is more "sciency". Despite the fact that most studies just confirm what good trainers have known for a long time. I'm not even sure that the general training knowledge has increased since while the good stuff has certainly become a lot more accessible, there is also that much more bs floating around.

    He is the only super of the lifters you mentioned that has served a suspension. Doesn't mean he is cheating now but only a naive person would think he isn't. Of all the other guys you mentioned only Taranenko admitted to using drugs, he didnt serve a ban so he could very well have gotten away without it becoming public. Kurlovich and Pisarenko never tested positive, sure they had a suitcase full of stuff but officially they never served a ban and I am not naive enough to even begin to think they didnt cheat too. Rezazadeh never served a ban. One other thing isn't bodyweight a factor in determining the strongest of all-time? Not fair to compare a 160k guy to a 60k guy but in reality the smaller guy is moving more weight in comparison. Just a thought and my humble opinion. Oh and judging isnt exactly perfect these days either.

    99% of the time I'm not big on using "strongest in the world" with Olympic lifters because they have such a narrow band of expertise and quite simply never use the kind of weights that you see powerlifters and strongmen using so it all feels off, but Lasha is different. The sheer explosivity he has with enormous weights, and how he'll do things like squat near 350k for reps without looking like he's near failure, he's on another planet.

      +7kg and +8kg for a +15kg total seems insane. Not sure any gold medalist has bettered his PR's by that much.
      The only reason I wouldn't bet against it is twofold. One, Lasha has had no competition so his lifts are purely up to his imagination. Two, I have never seen anymore move weights as casually as Lasha does. His technique is obviously amazing but it really does look like he has more in him every competition.

      Stricter anti-doping, less political pressure to assert national dominance with medals, constant messing around with weight classes, countries getting banned so the rest don't have to total as high due to less competition. Perhaps also athletes may have more lucrative and less brutal choices of sport nowadays.

      If that was true then why are most male lifters sinclair scores behind that of those in the 80's?
      Steroids is the answer. So Lasha is doing more than his peers and predecessors while using less steroids than they did in the 80's. That or he has the best doping system ever since he hasn't had a failed test since his one and only in 2013.

    How does he snatch with the belt on? I keep trying and I just can't figure it out. Always a chance I'll snag the belt with the bar.
