Zack, you are a very strong and athletic guy, and have made huge progress yadda yadda and I like your content, but you are doing long term damage to your body. Your limb lengths/proportions are not conducive to the positions that Oly lifting requires. You're seriously eating into your longevity doing this.
I have a problem that I don't know can be fixed. Structurally from my elbows to my wrist there is a slight Curve and locking my elbows is really hard. Do you think there is anything I can do?
The first time I saw OW was lashas 484 last year. And it looked so smooth and easy that I hab trouble to understand other lifters struggling with much less weight. It just came to me after many hours of watching weightlifting videos that it is normal to struggle with these amount of weights and he is just some ridiculous specimen that doesn't seem to be bothered with 260 kg over his head. Blows my mind
Loving the advice as this is something I have struggled with. A neck and shoulder injury while in the military makes it tough BUT there has been improvement. A big part of that being the information provided from your channel. Much appreciated.
Excellent video. The difference in your 3rd pull (for those who use that term) is remarkable; it’s night and day. So much prettier now. I like the description you use, however, to describe the continued pull after contact. I am going to try the tempo snatches, as well. Thanks ZT.
Zach, I finally did a 2 a day training today and in the second session I finally felt the pulling through after contact you talked about in this video. I think it’s changed my snatch forever! I just needed to snatch tired to unlock the secret.
I think it's also worth noting that because he's so powerful and strong, he can afford to (relax) during the pull and also when he gets under the bar. This in turn allows him to move smoothly.
I’m confused on what the difference is. I’m only picking up that you practiced your receiving position and where you wanted to catch. But it looked like in both before and after you were using your arms to pull yourself under.
Hi Zack! I used to have a nice contact with the bar, I was not afraid of it. But, last year, I had inguinal surgery and I now I just can’t make the contact with the bar. The thing is, is it fundamental to make the contact or can I “learn” to snatch with out the contact? Thanks in advance
A bit late to the video, but, isn't pushing your head through restricting your shoulder mobility? I was taught to only push your head through when you're trying the stop the bar dropping backwards. I know the reason the Chinese lifters do it, is because when they were kids they were punished if their feet weren't in the correct position so they kept doing that and it became habit, they didn't actually teach it, nor do they recommend it. This was when the actual Coach Ma came to Melbourne for a seminar. Not trying to be a smartass, just actually looking for advice.
Piyush Vishwakarma It’s not something you should really think about. Focus on extending fully and dropping under the bar quickly into a stable catch position and you should be fine. My feet don’t come off the floor when I snatch but some people’s do.
i think i need to nerf alex.
waiting for the patch notes...
Loved the vid man!!
*puts weeb hat on*
If that was an English dub jojo reference, then I'm very disappointed...
I will take him out, only can have one Alex

How to lift like Lasha:
Step 1: perform a normal first pull
Step 2: Make contact
Step 3: *ZA WARUDO*
Step 4: Stand up

Gustafant he hearted ur comment. You are not lash confirmed?
So... I'm not Lasha, I'm not Klokov, I'm not Lu AND I don't train Bulgarian?
*identity crisis itensifies*
What was the point of your comment other then the obvious of him not actually being lasha? Are you a jealous idiot?
Freedom Of Speech he was refering to zack’s you are not klokov or lu videos so calm down lol
@@alperkaragoz261 thanks, can you see where I'm coming from though? If you had no knowledge of what you said?
Obviously the reason he‘s so good is because he‘s got the same lifting shoes as Clarence.

@Zzzz Zzzz lasha or clarence?
a rare combination, weightlifting and jojo. I see you are a man of culture
Lasha's so big, he makes his wrist wraps look like fitbits.

Dear lasha i need a 225 and 275 just for the so called plate asteatics
I think he will do 230 and 270
Watch him do 224.5 and 274.5 and get a 499 total before retiring
@@gibletgravy i dont think there are .5 in weightlifting
he should do 230 and 269

Hoooooo, *NUKATE KURO NO GA?*
WOW when you put his clips side by side the pure consistency between the two lifts is astounding. He’s an amazing athlete!!!
1:45 differences seem minimal?! Dude your technique has sky rocketed! I'd be so damn proud of my snatch progress. Your diligence is an inspiration.
My pepe goes up when Zack uploads.
This channel is so underrated, I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work.
1:20 this week on finish the sentence with Zack Telander:
"There is a smoothness to his lifts that is hard to describe without, well, j-"

Best coaching video you've made to date! Appreciating this! Nice work, Zack.

haha are you kidding me, 220kg snatch deadlift is god damn strong already
Zach,

I think it’s changed my snatch forever! I just needed to snatch tired to unlock the secret.
Really awesome analysis and explanation between the changes.
4:10 some major memes knowledge! Great Video!
0: 28 Goosebumps.
Lol i will be thrilled if i ever get to snachgrip deadlift 220..
"This Lad." I'm going to start using that noun.
Lasha = Legend

I am so happy with the Jojo references 🙌🏽
4:09 are you ready kids?
But Zack, I already finish and stay up... 😏 2:50.
I might not get it up like Lasha, but I sure get it up for him.
You uh may want to chill on the Viagra
Livin like Lasha
Tempo snatch is the best i do for warm up before my main lift.
Good luck & success man.
One thing I notice is that he (Lasha) stays flat-footed much longer than most.
Thanks for the vid!
This guy just did 267 kg clean and jerk. Living legend

Life IS good.
Zack with the Spongebob reference at 4:08 lol
And here I am not even able to hold the bar above my head in a snatch grip.
Its probably self explanatory youve got fantastic tecnique and timing since your snatch and clean and jerk is so similar to your squat.
Jojo manages to find itself everywhere
If Lu is a god in his class, Lasha is THE GOD
Why did I watch this? I'm never going to do this.
Hi Zack, what about jumping backwards like at 4:20, did you intend it to be like this? is it correct? Thanks and love from Spain.
I’m confused on what the difference is. I’m only picking up that you practiced your receiving position and where you wanted to catch. But it looked like in both before and after you were using your arms to pull yourself under.
Essentially he finished the pull better which lead to a better entry to the catch position.
I wanna see lasha in the nfl
The movement in weightlifting is always upward!
I want some Lashagna. Haha. Feel free to slap me in the face
I live for puns dude just made my day
Nothing improved my extension and speed under bar more than tempo Snatch with pause at knees and Snatch balance.
Lasha is that dude 🥇🏋️♂️
Pure perfection.
Do you power snatch «always».. until its so heavy that you are forced deper,? Or do you controll power so that you always fixate at bottom position?
Lasha, Lasha, Lasha.
Is cuz his core is cushioned by that impressive beer belly
And so are all the others in his class, but he is the srrongest

new to weightlifting, but really love watching your videos. Just wondering if moving foot while snatching is better or no foot movement?

so, lasha has a stand that helps him in the snatch ??

What’s Lasha’s stand?
485 freedoms
If you look closely you can see his fat gut blocking the bar too.
Some of grandads medicine and youll be the next lasha :)
Finally!....you post so much snatch and clean stuff, but have nothing on this guy!
Great analysis. Although, I have to disagree with your final words... It's never just about getting stronger.
I think Zack clarified that. Get great technique, then get strong. Then again, Mark Rippetoe would disagree.
what music is that
LAKEY INSPIRED - Days Like These
Lasha make contact with the bar literally above the knee
Not in the hip
He doesn't bang the bar (like you do)
He pulls the bar up
