Thank you so much! My whole household of 8 knew the passcode to my bedroom door as we have an ensuite and a baby, we never had any privacy (no matter how many times we told them to knock and wait😑) I've just changed the code with the guidance of your video and I'm looking forward to listening to my door rattle in frustration when they can't get in without asking 😁
I have worked on so many of these... ... just fitted 2 this summer. The instructions in the ones I fitted said that you should push the 'C' button (hold it in) when changing the pins. Great info Brummie 🙂👍🏻
Thanks Roy, I struggled like crazy to get 2 of the 6 pins in as they would just not go in and mine did not come with instructions. Then I searched YT for help, found this video, read your comment about keeping C depressed and bingo bongo: SUCCESS!!! CHeers!
That's both interesting and very useful for me- as I acquired a number of these, complete, from a school refurb a while ago. Thanks very much, great vid as always! 😁🤘
I picked up one of these that was on an old work door. The door I want to put it on opens on the opposite side to how it was. Will that be a problem? Thank you.
Cool!! Easy! I was thinking, if the lock has been use for awhile the most used numbers/letters may become dirty or worn showing the code. All you would have to do is try them in different orders to get the open. Thanks for sharing this. 🐾🐈🐈⬛🐾🇬🇧🍻
How does it know what order the numbers for the code are? For instance, if I wanted to change the code from 1234 to 2468 would I have to swap the 2 around even though it's still in the code?
When you set these locks if for arguments sake 2378 were the locking pins Is it possible for 2738 to be used as the code or would it only be possible to set in this sequence as 2378, hope that makes sense
The code can be inputted in any order, as long as the right buttons are pressed. So in your example, 8732, 7238, 2837, and more will all have the same result
It took me a while, but found it! Your remark sq gap facing away did the trick. The 5 tumblers with the gap down are the "codes". Have marked the with some touch up paint now for a next time.
I have a similar mechanical keyless lock for my driveway door. It can be opened from the outside using the programmed code but cannot open from the inside. Any ideas of how to fix it it? I am thinking of replacing it because of the problem.
Sounds like the internal handle is faulty, just remove it and see if you can turn the mechanism manually will a screwdriver, you might only need to change the internal handle but sometimes easier to replace the complete unit
You have to hold in the c button when you do this or you can ruin the lock. As I found out when I was an apprentice joiner!
Thank you so much!

Cheers Roy, maybe if you push the C button they come out and go in easier 🤔 Thanks for watching 👍

I think I just broke my lock as I didn’t hold the C button while placing them back 😢
