Oh my goodness Brummie, I knew those safe were rubbish and the tubular lock wasn't great but that's worse than I thought 😂 I know you bought this to hide your wallet from the Mrs but it's back to the drawing board my friend 😂

I got the exact same safe, and you can open it with a sturdy bump on top and turning the handle at the same time. If you time it just right, the box opens.

Try the pen trick. The pen or pen cap moulds and turns from pressure. Only work with certain pens with softish plastics.

Do you think that someone has been using the lock to practice and improve his/her lock picking skills. If so he/she could have screwed it to an upright to save making a mortise, and drilling out a keyhole. Perhaps he/she had not got a suitable vice and/or a work bench. Regards Chris

you have a really great channel sir. it took me a while to find a channel with a decent amount of lever locks and your approach of using simple homemade pick sets is just cherry on top. I am looking for a way to unlock uncurtained lever lock with both sided keyway but i want it to open it from the other side(the bolt comes before the levers),would you be so kind to make a video about this or point me to it if it already exists, Regards

Why is it necessary to take the lock apart? Could you not just drill those pins out with the lock assembled? If you did that would the springs and pins not just fall out? Then you could tap the hole and replace with new springs and pins with everything in situ? Would this work?

Looks like that set works just fine to me! Especially in the hands of an experienced and competent picker! - - my only legitimate concern with a set like that is the alloy quality "pot metal", however still a great set for either "disposable EDC" purposes or beginning pickers getting used to amount of effective pressure/force applied.
