How is the monitor holding up today? What are your thoughts on the dark areas looking grayish instead of pure black especially playing in dark room? Is it that bad to be considered as a deal breaker? I am really torn in buying my first 1440p monitor.
Very good monitor for the price you pay, uk around £300, don’t let the low contrast put you off just mess with settings to your preference and it’s barely noticeable
Still enjoy using it. Its not the best but at the price point, its perfect. I do notice the contrast in dark scenes but its acceptable in overall use for me. ☺️
ive had this model for about a year, and have pretty bad image retention now. any white areas will temporarily burn into screen after already a minute. i bought two of them, and it happens to both, so i have reason to believe that this is simply an issue with the monitor and not a "defect" per se? can anyone confirm?

Try using a display port connection and changing settings in windows. Also depends on how old your hardware is, some older graphics cards do not have the right ports.
for me, the red color is so bright that it hurts the eyes and apart from the SRGB mode, I can't change it. reducing the contrast only darkens the image but does not remove the glowing red color :(
It's not the monitor, it's windows. I assume you are using Win 10 or older. Windows 10 uses SRGB color space and this monitor is wide color gamut, which in short means all colors (specially red) will be overly saturated.
@@ag4640 I have the same problem in Win11, it's very annoying. In most videos and pictures everyone looks like they are sunburned and there is a lot of glow. I tried multiple settings, icc from factory, rtings, rgb settings, nvidia settings, everything.. I don't know what I should try anymore.
@@Lanka_99 yeah, color profiles won't solve the issue since only supporting programs will make use of them. There are 2 solutions. Either to set the monitor to sRGB mode (recommended). You’ll lose a little bit of controls, but by setting RGB color format and Full dynamic range on your GPU control panel you’ll get accurate colors with deep blacks. OR, turn HDR mode in Windows (Win 11 is best option since it has an HDR calibration app). This way the entire OS will use the native color space of the monitor and saturation will be no more. Just be aware that this mode only makes sense with Auto HDR enabled, which can cause fullscreen problems in certain games.
@@ag4640Thank you for your help. The weird thing is that even in sRGB mode it did not fix the issue, only slightly. What happend is that the red is still there but slighly greyed out. I start to think that there is something wrong with my monitor and not the settings.
@@Lanka_99 Have you set in your GPU control panel RGB/Full Dynamic Range/10 bpc? Aside from that, the colors in sRGB mode should be accurate. It’s just that you come from seeng an extremely saturated red and when you compare it with a property shown red you get the feeling that the colors are just washed out or even slightly changed. But trust me, that’s how it should look like. If you have an OLED phone or tablet like an iPad (they tend to be color accurate), google "shades of [insert color] wikipedia" and compare the images. You will see that the colors in your monitor are indeed accurate.
Ciao! 😅😢

If you look closely you can see black vertical lines on the right of the screen, I got that too but I don’t know how to fix it Edit: i tried to see if The panel had problems
@Secret Person If you are referring to the line right next to the bezel, this is mainly noticeable due to the angle of the camera. I never notice it during use but can see it if I look at an angle. Anything else could be down to the way the camera is picking it up. Again, I've not noticed any issues of black vertical lines.

Hi Ailop, I am afraid I will not be able to help you on this one. I do not recognise that model number. To confirm what monitor you have, start by looking at the sticker on the back of the monitor.
Thanks for the comment Jv. If you watch the detailed review by hardware unboxed, you will see the response time can be 1ms on faster response time curve in some situations. The main reason for not suggesting the fastest mode is, you see ghosting in this mode more so than the others. The response times are still very impressive around 5ms and you will not be able to tell the difference as a user.

Thanks for the motion blur reduction flickering tip. WIll try it for a few days with the motion blur off and see how i feel about it. Is this a known fact or you just assume the flickering from the motion blur reduction is bad?
Hi @pedro domingos, thank you for the comment. So flickering is something that everyone has different levels of sensitivity to. How is the monitor holding up today? What are your thoughts on the dark areas looking grayish instead of pure black especially playing in dark room? Is it that bad to be considered as a deal breaker? I am really torn in buying my first 1440p monitor.
Very good monitor for the price you pay, uk around £300, don’t let the low contrast put you off just mess with settings to your preference and it’s barely noticeable
boought it for 300, amazing price for such a good monitor even if its "old", 10 bits 1440p good colors and hz, such a good deal.
I got this screen for my PlayStation four after I connected the screen and opened the battlefield five it automatically activate a mode which made the colors look realistic, make the game more realistic. due to a the seller I had to return the screen. I also received the same screen back and repackaged it after I connected it and opened the game even though I didn’t ask for this mode. Now the game doesn’t look as crisp as before, what do I have to do because someone recommends what that could have been?

Hello, please tell me this information - I have 2k 27gp850, I play tanks, the system gives me a stable 250fps, this is what is best with G-sync and lock 161Hz or disable G-sync and lock 220 fps and play, I need your professional advice .
I just switched from ps4 pc and monitors and I’m confused on how you get to look up stuff on the internet. Like how do you have browsers?
What should I do?
Uh how do you move around on the monitor settings on Xbox
The joy con on the underneath of the center of the monitor. Click the joy con twice and you can access all settings.
32gp850 - B has a hidden menu. We need to turn on HCDP in the hidden menu. Is not on in all monitors from LG. Turn it on !!!
Can anyone help me my monitor is stuck on 60 Hz and i cant find a way to get it up too that 165 Hz
Try using a display port connection and changing settings in windows. Also depends on how old your hardware is, some older graphics cards do not have the right ports.
So do you recommend this monitor? Looking for a 1440p monitor for PS5 since it now supports 1440p.
Yes
Yes - it’s dropped a lot in price as well so a good buy these days.
PS5 doesn’t support native 1440p
@@GradietPanda12345 it does now. I have this monitor and it's running 1440p/60-120fps
@@tappenthat i have this monitor for ps5 as well. What is your monitor settings?
Is it better to turn off the adaptive sync for warzone ?
How do you turn on that HDR settings? I can't seem to make it support HDR, it is always off
HDR will be detected automatically, if turned it on on your PC OR PS5
It will show HDR automatically
for me, the red color is so bright that it hurts the eyes and apart from the SRGB mode, I can't change it. reducing the contrast only darkens the image but does not remove the glowing red color :(
It's not the monitor, it's windows.

About 5 second and after that gone.

If you look closely you can see black vertical lines on the right of the screen, I got that too but I don’t know how to fix it
Edit: i tried to see if The panel had problems
@Secret Person If you are referring to the line right next to the bezel, this is mainly noticeable due to the angle of the camera. I never notice it during use but can see it if I look at an angle. Anything else could be down to the way the camera is picking it up. Again, I've not noticed any issues of black vertical lines.

Hi Ailop, I am afraid I will not be able to help you on this one. I do not recognise that model number. To confirm what monitor you have, start by looking at the sticker on the back of the monitor.
The screen looks yellowed even with vivid mode and without hdr
sir you said dont put respsonse time on fastest, does that mean were not using 1ms??
Thanks for the comment Jv. If you watch the detailed review by hardware unboxed, you will see the response time can be 1ms on faster response time curve in some situations.
The main reason for not suggesting the fastest mode is, you see ghosting in this mode more so than the others.
The response times are still very impressive around 5ms and you will not be able to tell the difference as a user.
