I’ve been able to avoid going down the rimfire rabbit hole, but I’ve been watching these Day at The Range challenge videos, and I’m feeling left out!! May have to find a challenge I can do with one of centerfire rifles, before I end up spending $2K on a new rifle!
A CZ 457 Pro varmint and a Arken scope and you'll be having fun for about $1000 😀Oh and a area 419 scope rail.
You don't have to spend $2K or more on a good rifle. Check out one guy on the leader board that shot a 19 with his $199.99 Savage MK1 FVT. You just need a good accurate rifle and good ammo. No need for a fancy front rest either. I shoot most of these matches with a bi pod and rear bag. It's all for fun, but if you are going to have fun, you might as well be scoring well too. Again, you can do these shoots with a sub $500.00 rifle and $200.00 scope. BTDT and prove it every time in these challenges.
come on John.. Take the challenge to the next level use that PRS voodoo and shoot it off of the Tank Trap. :-) I can not be the only Crazy one to attempt it.
I 100% would but my range doesn't allow the use of props outside of matches. 😞
@@FClassJohn OH man that sucks. I love being able to go out to our range and be able to practice off our NRL props at any time.. Well most of the time. If someone is on that range when I get there I will not interrupt them.. and go shoot off the benches.
@@damingrail3655 We are the middle of a city so our range is really careful about props and other items that if handled incorectionly could end up with rounds leaving the range.
@@FClassJohn 100% understand. Guess it is one benefit of living in Middle of no where.
Have you tried R50 ammo?
A long time ago but I only shoot Lapua/SK now.
