(2)A constable may arrest without warrant any person whom he sees committing an offence against this section. Those coppers need to be doing there job and those people removing the road blockers were within their right if doing a citizen arrest.
The most violent person in this incident was the copper who he said was, it looked like he went straight for his throat and then pushed him into moving traffic on the other side. And The Met wonders why people are fed up with them. What exactly were the 2 coppers doing anyway, seemed to be having a casual chat with someone and then seemed to get irate they had to do something. Pathetic Policing at its finest.
You can’t believe how bizarre the police service has become in the UK. A persons right to protest does not override another persons right to go about their lawful business and individuals wilfully blocking roads is unlawful.
In 1930s Germany, the police stood and watched as the SA beat up Jewish people and smashed windows. Now the British coppers stand and watch as proto-terrorists block the highway.
Actually there is a Supreme Court precedent which has found such protests are protected under Article 10 & 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights and as such are not unlawful.
@@lenvarley7973 I assume protests would become illegal if other laws were broken. Here in the UK, it has ALWAYS been illegal for the traffic to be directed by any person other than a police officer in uniform.

So the two police officers defied a High Court Order that tells them to stop those illegal protests and then when a member of the public lawfully removes these criminals the police then commit a Section 5 Common Assault themselves... they "Dropped it" because of that fact the guy should order the police to arrest both their own officers for the Section 5 offence!
Section 5 Common assault? Thats not exactly right. The Supreme court ruled that protests are expected to cause disruption to traffic. So police are following case law and ECHR and law in the UK for these protests to happen.

IF one of those protesters had hit their head on the pavement and died, by UK Law, that could be at least Manslaughter, as they, didnt fall over, they were deliberately shoved over, and that could easily be classed as Murder too. (dont forget, that this protest was 100% within the Law too, so "deliberately shoving a law abiding person resulting their death could be classed as Murder") in this issue, the Police actually, acted within the letter of the LAW.
@Adam Goodman - this protest was not "100% within the law", obstructing the highway is illegal and an offence, and as for a charge of manslaughter if the protester had hit his head and died, what if the man removing them had been killed by oncoming traffic when he was shoved in the road by the police? Wouldn't that be manslaughter?
this protest was 100% legal, as NO ONE was actually "obstructing the highway", i.e preventing people from using it, IF the protesters had been "breaking the law" the Police wouldn't have hesitated to arrest them, as for the man "ASSAULTING" the protesters, (lets face it, the man, can clearly be SEEN committing Common Assault in this video), IF he had been killed by oncoming traffic, after been man handled by the Police, the Police could have stated he was killed by a 3rd party, while resisting arrest, therefore it had "nothing to do with them"
