However, one might argue a case for what is reasonable in law and, in addition - the premise that this sort of disruptive "Up yours" behaviour is intended to cause a breach of the peace AND/OR careless as to whether a breach of the peace may be occasioned. The smart move would be if they announced which road/roads they intend to protest on, it would give emergency services and other commuters the opportunity to choose a different route and still cause the disruption they want… but that’s common sense, and it’s becoming obvious that sense is not just rare, it’s become endangered.

because peaceful protests have not worked. As the world inches closer and closer to climate disaster, expect protests like this to be bigger and much more common. History tells us, protests like this are actually effective. Nobody liked Martin Luther King's peaceful protests either, thought black people sitting in 'white only' spaces were annoying.
