Three years ago you posted a harmony analysis video for Judy's Blue Eye and I praised it highly. At that time, I asked you to upload Helplessly Hoping, a more compact song, next. I remember you had a positive response to it, but I never thought you would make it happen. I really realized that Kevin you are a great person. And you also uploaded Carry On. Really great. As for CS&N, I think you will be complete if you add You Don't Have to Cry.
Thank you, Hiroshi
Wow, challenging, especially the chorus! Of the three, I always favored Stephen Stills' voice, even back from Buffalo Springfield times. I appreciate the effort of editing all these tracks into a cohesive whole. Well done you!
Thank you so much! And I agree! At their level, you can’t really say one is better than the other, but I will say that I love Stills’ unique raspiness especially :)
amazing
Thanks so much! :)
I’m a new subscriber and I’m enjoying hearing you sing. Kevin, you are definitely gifted. You do a great job. Music is my passion. Nsync song “I thought she knew” is beautifully sang with harmony. I can imagine you singing that song my friend.
Thank you so much for those kind words and for subbing Emily! :)
Admittedly while No Strings Attached is my fav album of all time, NSYNC is a reeeaaallly tough group to learn 😅 however, I would check out DanTheMan Bardo; he does some INCREDIBLE R&B harmony lessons and has a really nice pace/teaching style. If anyone can do it, it would be him! :)
Gorgeous and perfectly paced for study
Thanks so much Kevin! :)
awesome - your tutorials are great - very helpful!
Thanks so much! :)
Beautiful ❤
Thank you so much! :)
I’m always amazed at Crosby harmony … aka carry on/suite judy
Nash is just too damn high for common people … lol
Crosby, Stills, and Nash were brilliant when it came to harmony. Their voices blended so well.
I agree! Three very distinct voices and timbres that work so well as one
@@KevinToddMusic I do my own background vocals, creating my own chorus via different parts recorded separately and then blended. It is hard, but a lot of fun. No one's voice blends better than one's own. Thanks and take care.
Guinevere is my current favorite, but this is right in the mix
Very cool! You definitely do the song justice!
Thanks so much Daniel! :) i appreciate that!
This is fabulous. I'm at work and now I can't wait to get home to try this myself:)
Thanks!
Thanks so much Martin! Best of luck with it! :)
Update. I just spent an hour or so recording and I'm so happy with it. I've loved this song for decades and to hear this sung (in triple!) by my is just, so cool. Thank you very much!@@KevinToddMusic
Perhaps you could investigate all the late 60s 70s music. Procol Harum, Alan Parsons Project et al
I would LOVE to! It truly was the golden age of harmony :)
Kevin, great job!! Foxes and Fossils do an Amazing Cover of this. Foxes and Fossils have Ultimate Harmonies. Thanks Kevin stay Well. Take an Insurance policy out on your ears.
Haha thanks so much! I absolutely LOVE their version! :)
It would be cool if you make some learning tracks of these parts, playing the original song on one channel, and the learning part on the other channel 🙂
That is an idea i’ve been working on doing! :) possibly something like a future members perk on this channel (once i figure that out! Lol)
Amazing Kevin! Thank you for doing this. This is my favorite harmony of all time! Check out the cover by Taxiride, it's great.
Thank you so much for listening! I definitely will check it out :)
Can you do One of These Nights?
Some YES please!
Yusss
Lol thanks! :)
Sound of silence lesson and you will be forever my hero. Simon there uses middle low high 5ths.. etc
Please do "More Than That" by Backstreet Boys. 🙏
I can try! However the channel you want to look at for anything Backstreet Boys/RnB is DanTheMan Bardo, he’s another incredibly talented creator who seems to specialize in early 2000s RnB, so deff check him out, tell him i sent you :)
The only problem is that he only broke down the chorus and not the entire song
The only problem is that Dan only broke down the chorus and nothing else. I'm wanting to see if u can break down the entire song
Plus me and Dan have knew each other for a couple years already
Great job but how about wooly bully watch it now 😅
Whatever happened to the "Take It Easy" harmony tutorial?
It was taken down due to a copyright claim by the distribution rights holder of Jackson Browne’s music :(
@@KevinToddMusic That really sucks, it was a brilliant tutorial.
Kevin is it possible to get the score you are using?
