No runs, no tricks, no belts...that pretty much describes the problem with music today, and what was so right about music in the 60s-80s. It was about the tune, lyrics and words, not about how many runs or how high or much you could belt out a note. By the way, love your voice. Keep it up. Besides Eagles, the 60s and 70s were the era of great harmonies. I would also include The Carpenters and the Bee Gees as tops in the harmony department along with Eagles. God but I love great harmonies. ❤

There are 3 mainly country songs the Eagles did that i just love, this one, Ol 55, and my personal favorite, The Girl From Yesterday.

This is the best of Brian Wilson...no one on the planet could have come up with this complex longing yet upbeat masterpiece, the perfect vocals and backing track...simply unreal!

His preface describes what I couldn't when I was 12 years old, 1975, and was buying Beach Boys albums when my friends were into Fleetwood Mac, etc. The surf and car songs were fun, but songs like Don't Worry Baby and In My Room expressed my longing with a touch of Heaven in their harmonies ❤

Great video! I have a bunch of questions, but I will start with this first. I created a backing track for live performance by downloading the stems from Karaoke Versions. I was originally going to leave the "background harmonies" in that track, and just perform this singing the lead. Your video totally inspired me, and I am considering ditching the backgrounds, and recording them myself. So my questions are: 1. What mic are you using? I was going to just use either my Beta58, SM58, or EV ND767, but your mic sounds awesome! 2. What software are you using for your DAW to record the vocals? I have more questions, but I really just wanted to say, awesome video!!

Fantastic! I heard Penn Jillette say recently on his podcast that he thinks David Crosby was flat most of the time, but I find that hard to believe. I wonder if you felt that when you dissected the harmonies or if Penn just doesn't fully understand how harmonies are sung.
