Can you do a voice reaction video of a Bloodywood song "Aaj", not only is the music diverse but the main singer Jayant has a really distinct and diverse metal voice that you may like.
Who are these people and bands? Who is requesting this? It's nice to go through gamut of different singers and genres to expand things. But most of these bands are ones hardly known. Where are some more mainstream bands or singers?
@@miamiman24 Why would anyone want mainstream singers, this is a perfect opportunity for someone to use their UA-cam presence to give these unknown bands exposure or recognition for the people watching to see some unknown talent. Also most of the band's/singers she critiques are mostly well known in the band scene.
I first encountered Beast in Black in 2018 when I worked as a crew boss of a local stagehand crew, when they opened for Nightwish on their tour. He actually sings those high notes even higher live than on studio record. I became a fan then and there. Also, they are (or at least were back then) super humble and nice guys, no superstar complex in sight, even packed their own stuff during intermission and only after the 6 of us that were supposed to do that kept insisting, they let us at least load it into the truck (and kept looking guilty that they did not "haul their shit" on their own).
Literally anything on their newest album is great, Highway to Mars, Moonlight Rendezvous, Blade Runner, and One Night in Tokyo are probably my favorites.
Wasn't sure how this album would turn out, not being based on Berserk, like most of Anton's work between Battle Beast and Beast in Black, but it's a banger album, for sure. The only song I don't care for is their cover of MJ's "They Don't Care About Us".
What makes him even more awesome: he sounds VERY similar to the album version in live performance as well. If you can go to a Beast in Black concert, do so!
i love someone mentioning oceandeep... never saw that before but it is one of my top 3 songs from beast in black ever since discovering them in late 2020
I've said it before but it needs to be repeated. You...Are....Fantastic! I love your wide eyed enthusiasm towards metal. You're talent as a singer gives you such insight into what great metal singers are capable of. Thank you for being you and bringing us informative and very entertaining reviews! You make my week when a new video comes out! this was especially fun! Thank you :)
One of the great showcase of Yannis vocal capabilities and Antons songwriting skill. Antons old band, Battle Beast, is also doing great with their outstanding vocalist, Noora Louhimo, who is totally on level of Yannis as awesome metal vocalists.
I gotta say I way way way prefer Yannis over Noora, but I may be quite a bit biased because I felt Anton's departure left Battle Beast a bit empty and I was a huge fan of Nitte's voice tone (their former singer before Noora (there's a video of them doing a duet together which was badass btw)).
Please finally react to lost horizon-highlander(the one). The singer in that band is the godfather of this kind of high vocals and still the best there ever was
Yannis is awesome, i have a video on his vocal range on my channel. But yea, Daniel is in another galaxy. He is still a living legend and putting everyone else to shame at 50yo. I do not particularly like highlander as a song, but it was meant a vocal commercial anyway, so it is a perfect intro
Beast In Black is amazing, and Yannis has such a broad range within his voice, it is simply amazing and always so pleasant to listen to. And awesome you gou yourself an interview with Yannis, i will most definitely give that a watch right now, because i am sure there is a ton of questions to be answered. :)
That was a truly awesome song! Beast in Black has a very good vibe... Thanks for your lovely reaction and, also, I can feel that my English improves just for watching you (I appreciate it a ton since I'm a linguist), so, I send you some extra thanks for that! All my love from Argentina.
Hi Elizabeth, it's been a few months, but I'm glad you're reacting to another Beast In Black video. This is my first time listening to this song, and I enjoyed the performance. Yannis' vocals were incredible, and the band was fantastic. Thank you, Elizabeth!!! 💙
He is very talented, indeed! Looking forward for the next one, it will be interesting. Talking to him was also incredibly amazing. Thank you as always! ❤️
Beast in black has been one of my favorite bands since I discovered them in 2018, I listened to their first album on repeat for probably 6 months straight and never got tired of it. Their compositions are so well done, and I totally agree with what Yannis said about being able to use his whole toolbox on the more ballad like songs. Oceandeep is the one for me that no matter what is going on in life just relaxes me, like I get to hit pause on life and live in that moment in that song.
I can only thank the music gods for letting Yannis and Anton find each other. May I suggest Poets of the fall (Marko Saaresto) or HIM (Ville Valo). Both are great.
Oh I really dig the lyric “love is a killer that never dies, murdering its victim with delight.” That type of dark emotional expression always gets me, and yes! agreed about viewing metal instrumentals like a violin concerto. Just so many virtuosic musicians in metal, it’s really amazing.
You are my favourite reactor. Sooo knowledgeable. Your enthusiasm and the happiness you show is infectious. And you score highly on the eye candy front, especially with that LOVELY smile.
Those are my 2 favorite tracks from their first album. I love the sci-fi feel of crazy, mad, insane and I can just never get enough beast in black ballads. If you haven't heard orden ogan's follow me to the other side I highly recommend it.
Just listened to Tommy Johanson (guitarist with sabaton ) singing "you raise me up " just absolutely mind-blowing 🤩 unbelievable cover and beautifully done well worth a check out 👍 loving the depth you go into and passion for music you have 👊
I loved your reaction to Blind and Frozen, and to Yannis’ cover of Ghost Love Score (my favourite of his covers). I was really hoping you’d do an interview with him. Unfortunately for me, it’s going to premiere sometime after 1am, and I’ve been up since 4.30 this morning. But, on a good note… I’ve something to look forward to tomorrow. Please never lose your enthusiasm for others voices and music. It makes me smile every time.
Elizabeth, if you’re interested in doing more Beast in Black reactions, you should definitely consider “My Dystopia”. It’s an amazing song and Yannis also mentioned it in your interview as one of his favorites.
I was chuckling at Elizabeth's reactions all the way through this. Jesus Christ, this is catchy. It reminds me of 'Wishmaster'-era Nightwish, when every song had a crazy urgency and they hadn't orchestrated themselves to death. And yes, that is a compliment.

Love Beast in Black! Yannis's voice is absolutely stunning! Please though Elizabeth, you must react to the band Katatonia! Their Singer, Jonas Renkse, has a voice that is truly one of a kind!! It is Hauntingly beautiful, Dark but yet Warm all at the same time. I suggest the performance of their song "Day" from their Sanctitude live Acoustic performance. It, along with a couple other songs, shows just how special his voice is! Thanks again Elizabeth! Love your channel!! 😄😄❤❤

As I begin to really dig Halestorm (Thanks, Elizabeth!), I now must find Beast in Black. Too busy to have checked this Friday, but this and the Tea Time Interview have made the weekend complete.

This wasn't one of my favorite Beast in Black songs, but watching this video gave me genuine appreciation for the singer's ability to combine warm feelings, breathy vocals, and anger through gritted teeth, all in the same line. A singer needs exceptional control over their voice in order to be able to do something like this. And then he lets it all out with powerful metal screaming and unrestrained fury. Wow, i remember seeing the small band Beast in Black supporting for a bigger band in Berlin back years ago, and now seeing how far they've come is so amazing! I feel like a proud parent even though i did not do anything!

A good example of metal featuring classical influence is Necrophagist. It’s a much more extreme form of metal music, but it has some amazing compositions. ‘Only Ash Remains’ is a track with a nod to Prokofiev at the very end. My favorite classical nugget from Necrophagist is the solo for Fermented Offal Discharge, though. It’s an out of body experience to hear the way the guitar can whine and express emotion as if an extent of the human “heart”. Good video either way. Thanks for posting!
This is the first time I have heard Beast in Black, but will be hearing more of them, as I intend to get their CDs (I'm old school that way). The guitar instrumental seems very much like the guitar work that is part of Dragon Force, both in tone and speed (I don't know any band that can play as fast as Dragon Force, especially the guitarists and especially the drummer). Yannis has a great range, and while the wails, he never loses clarity. Songwriting is great.
First, not to devalue the critique because it’s brilliant, but berserk is back! If you know the meaning behind this song, then you know. But hearing you analyze his voice, gives me a new appreciation for this man’s voice.
Beast in Black. Cool. Saw them live as an opener for Beyond the Black. A very interesting voice of the singer. But i would Love to hear your opinion in Jennifer Haben and Beyond the Black sometime in future
I recommend: BEAST IN BLACK - Moonlight Rendezvous (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) that song has such an incredible ... "momentum" I will call it. My favourite from Beast in Black.
Love that song, kind of a love letter to 80's power ballads. Yannis is one of my favorite singers these days, going to go and watch your interview with him. Random thought time. You mentioned appreciating guitar solos that had a bit of classical influence in them. Might want to check out some of the 80's stuff from Yngwie Malmsteen. The Rising Force band. They were metal with a bit of a fantasy twist to some of their stuff. One album cover was Yngwie blasting a dragon with the notes from his guitar. Maybe check out one of the instrumentals like Far Beyond the Sun. Don't know that you'd want to put it on the channel, but something to look into when you're bored.
Got to listen to Yianni’s voice at the beginning of “Orions Reign - Elder Blood”. He is a guest singer on it that does this out of this world high ‘scream’. It’s nuts.
I. Love. The. Nerdiness! The excitement, the deep technical expertise, calling out anime vibes, all of it! Yes 9001x. Once again I must request some Breaking Benjamin, either Breath or Dear Agony (ft. Lacey Sturm) ☺️
We just released merchandise! Check out the full line-up here: thecharismaticmerch.com

Really enjoyed your reaction on this one
He is so good, brilliant, wonderful. Just Soooo good!
First, not to devalue the critique because it’s brilliant, but berserk is back! If you know the meaning behind this song, then you know. But hearing you analyze his voice, gives me a new appreciation for this man’s voice.
When I saw their love song in the title I thought we were going Oceandeep for a second. Now *that’s* a beast (heh) of a ballad.
Beast in Black. Cool. Saw them live as an opener for Beyond the Black. A very interesting voice of the singer.
But i would Love to hear your opinion in Jennifer Haben and Beyond the Black sometime in future
I recommend:
BEAST IN BLACK - Moonlight Rendezvous (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
that song has such an incredible ... "momentum" I will call it. My favourite from Beast in Black.
Great great job Yannis and I love your reaction.
It’s nuts.
I've always wondered if that really is all just one breath.
Love this band so much
watching this the 2nd time and it feels like elizabeth is falling instantly in love with his voice :D
Excellent choice 👍
I made the same faces the first time I heard this song! This is one of my favorites!
I. Love. The. Nerdiness!
The excitement, the deep technical expertise, calling out anime vibes, all of it! Yes 9001x.
Once again I must request some Breaking Benjamin, either Breath or Dear Agony (ft. Lacey Sturm) ☺️
my longwaited video has come to grant delight to my life.
This is the one I was waiting for.
This was my suggestion to do analysis of this song :) (probably with a million other viewers, but still)
the latest album i did not skip a single song on this album the first 20 play throughs.....ITS THAT GOOD!
