I am western hunter myself. I normally don't watch hunting videos longer than 30 mins but there are a few exceptions and this one is definitely one of them. Congrats to the hunter, Nate. Excellent videography Samong! I must say you are amongst the best in the outdoor videography world today when it comes being your own host, editing, and creating your own way of life. Continue making awesome outdoor videographies!
This is the second time I’ve watched this video. Many exciting moments. At the end when you get too the buck it hasn’t failed to bring out a BIG smile on on my face.😁
It’s not about always shooting the biggest buck on the hill. It’s the memories that you make even when shooting the smallest buck. Forky backstraps taste far better than tag soup! Great trip. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Dude I usually don’t comment or like videos.. but this one deserves it all!! What a hunt and a shot🎯 the quality of work filming and editing is incredible!! I usually don’t watch hunt videos longer than 15mins but I watched the whole film without skipping a bit!! We need more of y’all friendships in this world! Congratulations to you guys and keep it going Samong! You are going far in this industry with the quality of work you put into this videos 🙌 only people who film and edit videos understand how much you work you put in your videos 🫡
In the words of Steven Rinella, “it’s forky time!” Awesome video! Congrats on a successful hunt. It’s not always about getting a big buck. It’s about the effort and determination to accomplish such a hard task. Good stuff guys, way to stay in the hunt!
What an amazing way to end the video!! Such a glorious shot, much props to the two of you for pushing yourselves to the limit and keeping your eyes on the prize!! 👏👏👏🦌
Kudos to the production quality while trying to actually hunt. BTW - I got goose bumps when you guys are spotting the deer. Brings back the rush of backcountry hunting!! I seriously got an adrenaline rush just from the tone of your voices, the tone is universal!
I was on the edge of my chair the whole video and experienced the same reaction as y’all at the end. Never hunted. Always wanted to. Appreciate the step by step hunt. Living vicariously through the vid.
The amount of work these hunters out in in terrains like this is crazy! Imagine he scores a good animal and gotta go back and forth to transport the meat on foot 😮
So awesome, thank you for taking me with you guys. Great video. I was living in the moment with you. I've been in that kind of country and have a passion for mule deer. I'm 68 years old and kicked cancer to the curb 3 years ago and very much would LOVE to do another hunt. Thanks again.
I know you will always remember this hunt even though it was just a little forky cause you guys worked so hard for it and made it happen in the final minutes of the hunt.
Incredible video! Just started watching your stuff a few days ago. I’ve watched over 10 in the last few days. Keep ‘em coming! I hope to do a western backpacking hunt someday! Thanks again for sharing these amazing adventures!
I've never watched a hunting video from a young guy as yourself. So in love with what you do. It dont matter if its fishing or hunting. Bro. Im on your videos. Im 56 years old. My time has come and gone as far as hunting. But my soul still loves it. Keep up the good work. Your friend Elijah. Aka ROLL TIDE!!!!
Great hunt and film. I felt like you when you thought it was over but God rewarded you for your persistence, patience, and hardwork. I wish to someday get the opportunity to hunt in beautiful country like that. Great work and congrats on a trophy hunt, that has nothing to do with the trophy book but more the memory book.
What a hunt! We have gotten a few last hour bucks in the high country on the way back to camp to pack up. No better feeling no matter their size. Always have to keep the hope alive and Believe!
You are just good people. I see that you always thank God for the blessing. Stay humble and know I always enjoy your videos. You big Elk has been my favorite. The true emotion was something that makes memories
2023 in Oregon was a phenomenal year for Mulies. I got mine on opening day (first Mulie ever) and five of the six others in my party also tagged out in the following days. I've been interested in doing a backcountry hunt, but your videos have pretty well sold it for me. If I get tags, 2024's gonna be my first backcountry hunt!
Fantastic short movie! Congrats Nate! I swear when you guys started hooting and hollering and were all jacked up when you guys first saw that monster buck, I felt like I was right there with you. Great movie!
Thanks for bringing us along on Nate and your hunt! I enjoyed watching every minute of your adventure. Your commitment to the hunting sport is obvious and admired by this aging hunter.
Youngster, you are everything that’s good about the great outdoors culture, wish more sportsman were like you. Really enjoy your start to finish approach, and how you prepare your harvest. Keep making these videos!!! God bless!!!
Beautiful as always. What a joy to watch you grow and go!! Ive always appreciated you putting it all out there for us to see. The highs and lows. Real. Congrats Nate doggg!!! That was awesome!!! Thanks for sharing with us all. Stay after it.
We not only appreciate the filming and hunt that you two brought us through but I have to comment on the music. Not the obtrusive loud stuff where you have to turn it down and next thing you know you have missed what was spoken. Well done all the way around!! Thank you so much.
Man. Really wish you guys had that beautiful 4×4 you guys worked hard to see that buck but can't complain about a beautiful 2×2 given by the man above. Beautifully done. Well deserved
Like everyone else, amazing amazing, beyond amazing. The level of dedication, the time, effort, strength to persevere, to hike thru miles of elevated mountains and rocky terrain while getting quality footage, days in and days out, the level of friendship, both willing to help each other achieved each other goal, you getting good footage and Nate getting a deer, not to mention the amount of time you have to spent editing afterward, amazing.
I'm not a big hunter my self, but just an idea for you. When you find yourself in a situation where you can't set up a tent keep a USGI poncho on you, they're good for keeping rain off of your body, but also great for one man shelters. They'll keep all that dew off of you and your gear.
Outstanding! Best video I have ever seen! You put us Right there with you! Nate summed it up perfectly,in words only a hunter would understand, "We have some pleasant misery ahead of us!" Indeed! Thanks for sharing your incredible hunt and experiences with us!
You guys rock! The hard work you put in, being so positive and most of all.... your outstanding respect and appreciation for the animals you get. Even when you're not successful, you're grateful for the experience.
Thanks for the high quality videos my man. I always look forward to your uploads. I was fortunate to harvest both a nice bear and mule deer this year up in beautiful British Columbia. Cheers to many fruitful harvests in the future 🍻
Initially, I was not going to watch for 90 minutes but I couldn’t stop watching lol. Great ending. Had me in suspense wondering if you were going to beat the clock. Patience and perseverance! Epic shot by cameraman and shooter. Captured the bullet trail and impact! Amazing!
You got me worried that all that hard work was not going to pay off. Glad to see Nate harvest a great buck and experienced a hint of a life time. Above all, you captured that on camera and thank you for sharing. I don’t know how you edit your videos but I know it is not easy. Kudos to you and thank you for sharing this incredible hunt with us! Keep them video coming Sy! Let me know when you’re going to be in Minnesota, we’ll do something.
I want to share a special " Wilderness Sandwich " I found years ago in an old Herter's catalog, I've taken it on many hunts and shared with all my friends. Start by frying a bunch of bacon, then add thick pancake batter in the grease, let cool then add brown sugar, wrap in plastic wrap or whatever. The pancake helps to fill you up the bacon satisfies the craving for meat, the brown sugar gives you energy, follow up with a couple Twinkies.. OH BOY !
Watch this hunt from last season and you will understand why I was talking him through it. There's always more to the story than what meets the eye. Appreciate you watching! ua-cam.com/video/IkcyaFIVQgE/v-deo.html
Halfway through this, can't help but notice you guys set up camp in an old burn during a storm. Be very careful in the future doing that, as the wind brings down those burnt pines quickly. Was hunting the edge of them this season during archery elk, and lemme tell ya, not a living thing wanted to be in that burn with those trees snapping from the wind storm. Good luck on all your future hunts! Love watching ya, you are inspiring
Nice. The dear was in the top right of your view when he took the first shot and just to the left of the fork in the large branch in front of you when u zoomed out a bit.
Boys , that hunt had everything hunting has to offer packed into an hour video ! I loved it ! I was literally going shoot Nate shoot lol !! Cool hunt ..
Great video guys! I love to watch your videos in the off-season whenever I'm missing being out there! There's something about the way your videos are out together because i feel like im right there with ya! Thanks guy's...keep up the good work!!! I love it! Oh...one more thing...were you guys hunting Oregon or Washington on this one! Not looking for specifics, just the State? Beautiful country!

Love how you didn’t put the deer in the thumbnail makes the video better to watch not knowing the outcome. Congrats!
From SOUTH TEXAS !

Elk on the wet side is even more crazy..,
Awesome job filming. Nice to see the daily agenda and scenery. Instead of focusing, solely, on the harvest.
Samong your videos just keep getting better, awesome hunt for the both of you guys, congratulations!
So awesome, thank you for taking me with you guys. Great video. I was living in the moment with you. I've been in that kind of country and have a passion for mule deer. I'm 68 years old and kicked cancer to the curb 3 years ago and very much would LOVE to do another hunt. Thanks again.

Congratulations on that buck. Talk about down to the wire hunt. That is truly a hunt for the record books.
What a hunt! We have gotten a few last hour bucks in the high country on the way back to camp to pack up. No better feeling no matter their size. Always have to keep the hope alive and Believe!
