Ken, being a retired crafstman myself I understand the care you take with your trade. I uterly enjoy your aproch to construction. Thank you for all the training your profide.
Ken thank you for explaining how the valley on a metal roof is done. I have wonder forever how this was done and now I know. You explained it perfectly in a way that I could understand. Ric
Great job Ken. As a retired contractor, I really appreciate you and your crew with the attention to detail and abilities to deliver a superb finished product to your customer. Hope that your year ends with a lot of joy and success. Blessings for year's end and praying for a great 2024 for you, your family, your crew and associates and all your customers. ☝️🙏🙌🇺🇸❤️💪
Nice close-up of the valley flashing. Your a brave man Ken. I hate walking on a roof when it is wet. Your doing work on the roof when it has frost, oh boy! I'd be too chicken to go on an unscheduled butt slide to the ground. I'm surprised the customer didn't want to tie the garage to the house with a breezeway instead of having a garage porch.
Thanks Ken! Always wondered how to bring it all together, the metal roofing and the two intersecting valleys. Your years of experience show in your fine work. Have an enjoyable holiday season!
Ken, I understand you had time, and cost in being licensed, and acquiring a drone. But I appreciate it. That was nicely done, and gave me a front row seat. Thank you. Rod
Thank you for showing the flashing details. It is interesting that our neighbor across the street from us had major renovations done. Guess what they had to do redo? There must have been a leak so the roofers had to redo the valleys. It took three roofers most of one day to redo something that should have been done properly the first time.
I have a leaky roof on mobile home and hope I can find someone down here to reroof! Had a good time watching you and your crew on several of your projects. Greg
I just had this done on my house with the W valley flashing on my portico and I asked him the same question. Basically they just pounded the top section flat to do the overlap like you showed. It's under the asphalt cap shingles so you can't see it.
Just did a cricket behind my fireplace on my metal roof and i used the W flashing a roofer friend of mine said the hump helps break up the flow to stop the water from going up under the adjacent sheet during heavy rains . I know that hump also stiffens the sheet a lot . Garage looks good Ken
Good morning Ken absolutely done in perfection on valley flashing, it's incredible how you move around on the roof ,,,,,stop it .get the young guys up there I know it's hard too step back we're the same age and I plans of many vacations in near future ands it's not with a cane or scooter lol ..I have step back myself..even as superman kryptonite has it's effective on us ,we call old age ..so great video my friend, step back or figure the roofs in the bids with subcontractors...lol 🌴😎
Ken, Very nice work on that valley. You and your gang sure do quality work. Here is a saying I stole (Rodney -- KG7EPW) you might get a kick out of; "Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with a chainsaw".
I have a question Ken. When it rains heavy what prevents the water from making its way over to the other side of the valley and then under the metal roofing? Can the water actually do that even though there's a metal valley? Thank you for the video!
Last garage of the year, I suppose that is a little bitter/sweet, eh. On to bigger and better things! Also I liked your comment "Batteries die on everything when it's cold"... and they want guys like us to drive EV's in the winter! LOL How's the foot?
Next year when I celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the fortieth time I have celebrated the Fourth of July I plan on retiring and taking life easier no more dealing with computer paper that’s heavy and I’m tired of climbing up and down the stairs to the records management room and getting to the bank to pay remits the only downside is I will miss my clients I have a big stash of wool from Brigs and Stratton a local company and Patons worsted wool I have been knitting since 1958 I look forward to a lot more time to knit and grow micro greens if I can do better than this years crop. I wish you well I can imagine climbing ladders is becoming old . When you choose to hang up your tools I will miss Sasquatch and you too. Unless I spot drone shots on UA-cam 😮🎉❤🎉
I can't believe you would get on the roof with your foot problem. My niece just had an MRI on her foot & she has 90% of her Achilles tendon torn. She is in a boot for 4 weeks +. It will heal in time. Do not have soda or sugar, bread etc. in your diet to help in the healing. I think you may have a partial tear that you got at Al's project?

"Everything turned out really square". You aren't surprised by that are you? I don't know how you work in those temps with thin or no gloves. My hands get numb with thicker gloves and I don't do well without them at all.
Came out great. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will be appreciated by the owners for many years to come.
Good morning Ken, hopefully now you can rest your foot. Thanks for sharing your 2023 builds!!
Retired carpenter watching you from Banbridge N Ireland 🙏Well done 👍

Ken, thank you for patiently teaching us, especially this, which is very difficult to decipher for a lot of us.
Have a nice day.

Nice smart looking work Ken,( I’m pretty sure the house value will increase by a similar amount to what your customer spent so great value!). 👍
Well I must say you’re walking very good. You’re moving about on the roof ok 👍 That valley looks perfect 🤩 from anywhere on the ground ✅
Another nice job and the valley flashing was quite interesting!

You are such a gentleman Ken and an honor to watch you work! Just wish your passion wasn't up so high! It is hard to believe so much is put into roof!
Excellent explanation and detail on the valley flashing 👍 Thanks for sharing.

The valley flashing technique is very helpful. Looks great, and leakproof. Thanks for making it a point to show the install. God bless
The Maestro does it again! Slipping, sliding ,singing and doing a great job!!!
Nice job! Great craftsmanship.

I enjoyed watching you, put the valley in. Ken, Dan and Chad. Happy holidays. God bless.
Hi Ken Dan Chas. Once again an excellent finish to the job hope you all have a good rest .

Another great build series. I hope your foot is healing up. I think the lumnahs still need you and your crew for a few more days.
Great video and another job in the books. Well done.
It’s been a great year for garages this year 🎉🎉
Great demo on the flashing, beautiful job.

Nice overhead camera work.
Thank you for the informative video.
Thanks
Bedankt voor de uitleg 👌👍 En de geweldigen film beelden 🎥 Groetjes vanuit uit Holland 👋🏼🇳🇱
As always it’s great to see you guys working. Hopefully you do carpenter work inside . Anyway can’t wait to see more Memphis Tn
As always you and the boys have done it again Ken 😮😊❤

Love the reference to the "Everything is awesome" song from the LEGO movie!
I like you and your crews work! Nice job! Hope your foot is better!
Love the "swarm of bees" (drone) and " thunder storm" (flashing metal) sound effects! 😁
Haha
Very nice work gentlemen! Happy Holidays to you! 🎄👍
just found you...your very pleasant and professional to watch thanks for making videos
Thank you so much!
That rlly looks great! Job well done by!
Great tutorial! Thank you for-producing it!!you crack me up with your made up songs! I do the same thing, and it bugs my hubby !
Ken, Very nice work on that valley. You and your gang sure do quality work. Here is a saying I stole (Rodney -- KG7EPW) you might get a kick out of; "Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with a chainsaw".
That looks really good.
Wieder eine tolle Arbeit geleistet 👏🏻👍🙂
If anything Ken, that ladder looks a little too vertical for my liking. Looks like the foot is healing though. Might be the drone angle though.
I was amazed that you could do that flashing with your bad foot elevated.
Another one in the Box! Great job.
Great work Ken as always
Very nice video I'm learning how to do metal roof so thanks
Glad to help
Your the man Ken, keep rockin!
Thanks
I have a question Ken. When it rains heavy what prevents the water from making its way over to the other side of the valley and then under the metal roofing? Can the water actually do that even though there's a metal valley? Thank you for the video!
Great video. What was the width of the flashing?
36”
Beautiful work sir !. I wonder if this is allowed in Norwalk, CA ? would love that white roof.
Building codes are different depending on where you live
thanks ken very informative.
Nice job as always!
Ken, can you tell me why you use an underlayment for metal roofing ?
You know what a basketball nose is, it dribbles all over the place.
😂. 😂.
Last garage of the year, I suppose that is a little bitter/sweet, eh. On to bigger and better things! Also I liked your comment "Batteries die on everything when it's cold"... and they want guys like us to drive EV's in the winter! LOL How's the foot?
Quite a few people scoffed at my parents when they put a metal roof on their house in 1991, today it still looks like it was done yesterday
Ken I have a Hint for you use a old piece of Carpet on the roof and you won't slide down the roof
Nice job
Nice job and hope your foot is well soon!
Ken ,is Al wearing off on you? You said," I like it " when you were finishing up the roof. I sure enjoy watching you two.
How do you cut the angle of the valley? Can you reverse a saw blade to cut it??
I use tin snips but you can use a saw
Amazing job
Have you ever done standing seam roofs
No I haven’t

That is Perfect!
I want to know how to place a valley flashing that ends going to a flat section of a lower roof
Sorry I don’t have a video for that
I can't believe you would get on the roof with your foot problem.

Do not have soda or sugar, bread etc. in your diet to help in the healing.
I think you may have a partial tear that you got at Al's project?
Be careful. God bless.
Didn't know you had to do that to install the flashing
I hope your foot is healing okay

where I come from we only screw steel down at peaks not in valleys.
Nice
Good day to all.
