Profiles for exterior and wet areas
These are profiles that the difference is their composition.
They are made of galvanized steel type DX51D and have a Z450 galvanized protection (except for the U Profile, so they are suitable for indoor humid areas, semi-outdoor areas and outdoor areas. Depending on their geometry they can be vertical elements (Studs) with a nominal thickness of 0.7, 1 or 2 mm, or horizontal elements (Master or Channels) with a nominal thickness of 0.6 or 0.7 mm.
▶︎ What is an OSB Board?
An OSB board is made up of several layers of wood chips glued together with pressure applied. The layers are not arranged in any direction, as it may seem, but rather the directions in which the chips of each layer are oriented are alternated in order to give the board more stability and resistance.
▶︎ What wood are used?
Mainly coniferous woods are used, among which pine and fir stand out. On some occasions also leafy species such as poplar or even eucalyptus.
Mate, just found your channel so I’m a new subscriber now but just wanted to say you must be the most practical framer I have seen, commonsense and practical and very easy to follow. Thanks for sharing

Dude's a brave man, metal framing without gloves!
Aye !! ! 😎
Oh I bet he got bit lol same with barb wire rolls, you need gloves and Glasses because it attacks without warning 😂
I think this is nice, it can carry loads and lateral moments but you forgot the lift force of winds during storm, I assume the floor is well connected to the foundation, I suggest to put washer on the screw connecting to the floor, and use screws with wider heads
I suggest he put hold down bars, threaded bars 20cm in from every corner, one down beside every window and door, and ensure there is one every 2.4 meters. These are set in the concrete and go to the roof frames and can be tightened with long threaded nuts. It is cyclone proof then.
I think this qualifies as an enclosed area with buildings around which would make the lift force significantly less according to ASCE 7
i expected from the title that this would be instructional, i have questions that this didnt begin to answer, such as do the exterior studs have to all be cut to the same length like in wood framing or is it just the ends like in some videos of i saw of interior metal stud framing, where there was some wiggle room between the first and last studs, relying on the strength of the metal and the screws to hold things up? is the spacing the same as in wood framing? what is with those corner things?
😅

It's cuz here in Brazil he doesn't need that.
DUDE... You got me over here thinking im gonna get a light gauge steel frame, put some SIP panels on it, get the plumbing and electrical and interior finishes done and just live😊...
Also, I,would have invested in a tack welder, especially for the beams! Belt and suspenders. Anyone with a metal garage door can relate to self tapping screws failure….100%.
I’m a steel framer. Your technique is ‘odd’ but i can see your skill none the less.
Yeah. He frames his "walls" like a carpenter thats odd..

What's the thickness of the metal in these profiles? Options I find locally are 0.5mm or 0.6mm or 1.5mm thickness for pairs: 70mm x 50mm x70mm & 70mm x40mm x 70mm
i like the positive energy of this vid. I saw many vid of differnt way of building wall, but when it come to concrete wall, 3D printing take so much hate and crap. I think the metal work community is so much better than the toxicity of traditional concrete. I guess this is why we have so much improvement and tech on metal than concrte in construction.
Perhaps warming up the concrete before and during application will upgrade it to selfhealing characterics ( like the old romans did) and less toxic.😎
@@constantverellen505 u may not know. Heating during the curing process reduces the compressive strength. Since concrete harden and get stronger every year, it would take us 100s of years for modern concrete to catch up the strength of Roman concrete. The reduced early strength of Roman concrete is evident by thei structure where they have to use a thick layer to compensate. The chemical property of Roman concrete is actually a research point where we could include in our modern concrete without reducing our strength be use we are using concrete to carry way more load than the Romans.
Mate...........I loved watching this. Thanks for putting in the effort to film the process. I will build with this material. Cheers.
the steel seems very thin. how do you calculate which thickness of steel to use? i am planning to go witn 3 or 4mm (0.16 inch)
Competence is such an amazing thing to watch😊😊😊😊😊😊
This must be at a location with no permitting required. 25 gauge steel is not considered structural even if it is made into a truss or shear panel. The connection at the screws are not considered strong enough. The fact that the truss bends at all under his weight is actually showing the weakness not the strength.. I usually just ignore videos like this, but it would be bad if someone ran down to there local big box store and bought those 25 gauge "c" channel studs and assumed they would work. I do have to admit that seeing the wood carpenter way of doing the layout was interesting, trained professionals in my area shoot the track to the floor and put the ends on first. They then snap the studs in between.... Its faster.
Most drywallers say they are considered behind schedule before they arrive for the first time.

TIENES UNA LISTA COMPLETA DE LOS VIDEOS DE ESTA CONSTRUCCION QUE ESTAS HACIENDO EN EL JARDIN? ESTARIA BIEN VER EL PROCESO COMPLETO DE ESA CONSTRUCCION. FELICIDADES POR LOS VIDEOS, SON GENIALES
can you list all the materials used? there dimension and sizes? screw type and size?
@@projectskyindonesia what size did you used sir?
yes but we need to k ow because i am from foreign country which the light steel need specific sizes upon ordering
I would also like to know what gauge steel you used.
The steel appears to be 25 gauge thickness track and stud. Also 2 5/8" width. Screws look like 1/2" self-drilling (not self tapping) pan head screws, based on my experience with the material
I no
I love steel framing. Never done it on a house, just small commercial spaces.
Maybe because it doesent meant to use outdoor I believe.
@@kriszpribek No, they're approved for home use. They are more expensive. It used to be about 30% higher to use metal over wood. But that was pre-covid. Who knows now.
While I enjoyed watching your video I would have liked to hear some instruction voice over as the title is "How to FRAME Walls" not watch me frame walls. Beginners like myself would benefit greatly if you could actually give some guidance and teach us rather than just entertainment value.
I learned that Stell Frame, when made in a very hot city, as steel expands at high temperatures, they say that when it cools down soon after, it creaks and makes noise in the structure of the house. Could you tell me if this is true or not, please? Thanks.
Hi,
In the video description you state that you use DX51D galvanized steel Z450. Could you please tell us the brand or supplier? Thank you in advance.
So for the diagonal braces are you actually cutting a 45 or just sliding it into the other piece?
thanks for showing off your skill in fwd maybe next time show something and explain something.
This may be a dumb question but is it cheaper than lumber?
Bravo 👌👍👏 , impressive work.
Hola usas perfiles steel framing?
Greatly talented. Doing it all alone.
I would add gussets to the joints in the truss to improve the strength of the connections. Wonder if it is faster than wood framing and if it is less expensive than wood framing
It is faster and cheaper. You can buy everything prefabricated. It’s also lighter and stronger
Wow! You're very skilled.
Can this type of framing withstand strongwinds, typhoon and hurricanes?
I'd like to make one.
Yes but concrete is better.
saya dari indonesia sangat suka dg fidionya.....sangat mantappppp😅.... cara kerja yg sangat profesionl banget.sehat selalu..hati hati dlm bekerja😅
excelent, sir. what the name of the fram sir?
No damp course before placing stud walls down. Rookie mistake
hi, one question please, how strong, thick are the metal purlinks, what kind of screws werwenden they for it, thank you
Obrigado
So how much scrap metal did you have left? Would you say more or less than wood scraps?
why the strap bracing if u add osb sheating? the osb is all a massive strap. ( if u add enough screws obviously)
Mi hermano felicitaciones!. Mi respeto y admiración por su trabajo. Me identifico como usted.
People really need to watch this video, as when I tell people wanting to use Sea Containers as home, that its 10 times easier and less cost just using traditional methods.
hola Cristian, excelente vídeo!!! , y dónde compras los perfiles ? Gracias.
Dzieki serdeczne. Pozdrawiam
What is this project cost? Please, looks like a nice warehouse ❤
what type of screws did you used?
Hi,
DX51D galvanized steel with Z450 galvanized protection. What is the brand of this equipment?
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely yours.
amazing work how what is the duration of this construction?
Hi mad man i have got same land area, How many pices of galvanized steel type DX51D i need to order ?
Galvanized Square Steel
Eco-friendly wood veneer
Extension screws borrowed from his aunt
Hello...your video is great, one of the best, I can build on a wooden platform and how I would do it, please I want to make one like yours, could you explain that to me please.
The metal he is working with looks like 25 ga. never use less than 20 ga., i worked with metal studs for 35 years.
Excellent work 👍
Hi sir thx for this beautyfull vidéo 📼 👍👀💝
nice work where did you get your roof metal and how much did it cost
Well Possum on a gum bush... I thought those were roof trusses in the beginning. Also, are the outside wall studs thicker gauge do to load bearing requirements?
Doesn't the Engel grinder heat up the metal and that can cause rusting later?
Impresionante tu labor
Next heavy storm comes in like a wrecking ball and knocks that shed over.
No. Don't be an a-hole.
Is it steel or aluminum?
hi, planning to do an awning on the side of my house with this concept. Will it hold steady during typhoons? I live in asia
Can you show how you cut the 45° brace?
man is tough. I can't imagine having to wash my hands everytime I got cut with the metal.
Dude u rocked that project out!
Are these the same metal studs used indoors?
nice content...nice to have skills like that...
Outstanding work! I’m subscribed and waiting for more of your videos.
With 2nd floor, please.. 🙏🙏🙏
Well done, great video! Thank you for sharing mate - NEW SUB 🙏🏻
sir, can u tell me how much galvanized steel type DX51D did uu used to finish this house
Thank you for your work!..
Gracias por tu trabajo!..
Obrigado por seu trabalho!.. " Agora no meu idoma"
With all those screws, should you use locktight or something?
mate!!! love the handy work, precision and effort - but you know there are companies that roll & punch your required sections to a fraction of a millimeter... off to the races
I like this technique alot, do have a drawing that u xould share, what gaige r the studs
How fast you speed up the video?
Can I build like a bedroom on top of that? or it won't support the weight?
It should support human. Research “SIP” or “Structural Insulated Panel” construction
He’s using SIP onto of joists
Olá, gostei imenso do video. Excelente. Pode me dizer qual a quantidade e carateristicas do material utilizado? E concerteza serei seguidor do canal.
Leia normas e manuais.
Awesome work! Thank you for the upload!
What gage steel are you using?
Qual acabamento exterior para proteger as madeiras???
Amazing brother
Very nice How much was the metal
Where did you buy the metal stud work as I want too build a shed/man cave thanks
Eres el P..... AMO del DRYWALL.
Are you using a stars crew to attach the frame sir?
