    Profiles for exterior and wet areas
    These are profiles that the difference is their composition.
    They are made of galvanized steel type DX51D and have a Z450 galvanized protection (except for the U Profile, so they are suitable for indoor humid areas, semi-outdoor areas and outdoor areas. Depending on their geometry they can be vertical elements (Studs) with a nominal thickness of 0.7, 1 or 2 mm, or horizontal elements (Master or Channels) with a nominal thickness of 0.6 or 0.7 mm.
    ▶︎ What is an OSB Board?
    An OSB board is made up of several layers of wood chips glued together with pressure applied. The layers are not arranged in any direction, as it may seem, but rather the directions in which the chips of each layer are oriented are alternated in order to give the board more stability and resistance.
    ▶︎ What wood are used?
    Mainly coniferous woods are used, among which pine and fir stand out. On some occasions also leafy species such as poplar or even eucalyptus.

    I think this is nice, it can carry loads and lateral moments but you forgot the lift force of winds during storm, I assume the floor is well connected to the foundation, I suggest to put washer on the screw connecting to the floor, and use screws with wider heads

      I suggest he put hold down bars, threaded bars 20cm in from every corner, one down beside every window and door, and ensure there is one every 2.4 meters. These are set in the concrete and go to the roof frames and can be tightened with long threaded nuts. It is cyclone proof then.

      I think this qualifies as an enclosed area with buildings around which would make the lift force significantly less according to ASCE 7

    i expected from the title that this would be instructional, i have questions that this didnt begin to answer, such as do the exterior studs have to all be cut to the same length like in wood framing or is it just the ends like in some videos of i saw of interior metal stud framing, where there was some wiggle room between the first and last studs, relying on the strength of the metal and the screws to hold things up? is the spacing the same as in wood framing? what is with those corner things?

    i like the positive energy of this vid. I saw many vid of differnt way of building wall, but when it come to concrete wall, 3D printing take so much hate and crap. I think the metal work community is so much better than the toxicity of traditional concrete. I guess this is why we have so much improvement and tech on metal than concrte in construction.

    • @constantverellen505
      @constantverellen505 9 місяців тому

      Perhaps warming up the concrete before and during application will upgrade it to selfhealing characterics ( like the old romans did) and less toxic.😎

    • @tragedyofwind
      @tragedyofwind 9 місяців тому

      @@constantverellen505 u may not know. Heating during the curing process reduces the compressive strength. Since concrete harden and get stronger every year, it would take us 100s of years for modern concrete to catch up the strength of Roman concrete. The reduced early strength of Roman concrete is evident by thei structure where they have to use a thick layer to compensate. The chemical property of Roman concrete is actually a research point where we could include in our modern concrete without reducing our strength be use we are using concrete to carry way more load than the Romans.

    This must be at a location with no permitting required. 25 gauge steel is not considered structural even if it is made into a truss or shear panel. The connection at the screws are not considered strong enough. The fact that the truss bends at all under his weight is actually showing the weakness not the strength.. I usually just ignore videos like this, but it would be bad if someone ran down to there local big box store and bought those 25 gauge "c" channel studs and assumed they would work. I do have to admit that seeing the wood carpenter way of doing the layout was interesting, trained professionals in my area shoot the track to the floor and put the ends on first. They then snap the studs in between.... Its faster.
    Most drywallers say they are considered behind schedule before they arrive for the first time.
