Some people enjoy the peaceful quiet, without disturbance, letting things flow naturally like a cycling river. As an introvert, I can express this pretty easily
The thing about being alone, is that if you're not in the mood to be around people who can do things like have opinions and demand you speak with them even if you don't feel like it, being alone is kind of nice. The problem is when you can't turn it off
I was expecting Logan's moodiest video, nothing but the somber feels all the way through. What I got was Breath of the Wild's entry being opened up with rockin' guitars. You always know how to get to me, Logan. Always. Never stop never stoppin'.
Loneliness is something I something I always enjoy in moderation. Too much of it can make me feel isolated and leaving me longing to talk to someone, but not enough leaves me stressed and wanting peace and quiet. But man, video games truly hit that right balance, and really bring about moments of emotional reflection. I oughta play more of these games someday, that feeling of total immersion is something I would like to get absorbed in again.
Fun fact about Resident Evil Village: There was a glitch in the final cutscene when Mother Miranda has Rose that causes Rose to have Chris's face. EDIT: Found out recently that it was a mod, not a glitch.
Honestly, I’ve always gotten the strongest feeling of isolation and loneliness from Majora’s Mask. It’s one of the reasons that it’s my favorite game. At the beginning, everything feels just like it does in any other Zelda game. You’re the fearless hero Link of to safe the world and defeat the demon. However, the longer you play the game the more disconnected you feel from everything. By continuously turning back time, you undo everything that you’ve accomplished. People don’t stay saved, and they forget ever meeting you because, well, they never did. It’s shocking powerful to spend so much time trying to help out anyone and everyone you can just to ultimately reverse time and undo it all. To save a young girl from being mind-raped by aliens only to then turn back that clock and have her look at you like a stranger. Plus, the three transformation masks of the game contain the souls of three individuals who died alone. When you wear their masks, all of the praise for your actions go to those dead individuals who you are disguised as. In this game, Link is a forgotten hero who’s actions get attributed to three dead and lonely individuals who he disguises himself as. Everything you’ve achieved gets erased and the only thing you can do is move on and leave your friends behind in order to try and stop the end of the world. Plus, Skull Kid did everything that he did because he felt abandoned by his friends. He was lonely, so the mask gave him a world to run wild in. Throughout this game, there is legitimately no one outside of Tatel who time hops with you that the player can latch onto. Nobody understands what you’ve done or what you still need to do. You’re alone through and through. It’s a truly unforgettable experience.
Yeah, it is pretty dark. Poor Link needed a break from that. He just couldn’t escape all that trauma. Fairly certain he was even killed by Ganondorf when he returned to Hyrule. He died a forgotten hero to the people, but not to the players. And even the one born from his own blood was able to carry out his legacy, and finish the battle he started centuries ago. Man, I’m just glad this Link in particular got some sort of a happy ending. I wish more stories did that these days.

The water around it was like dark green, and I swam close to it at night in-game. Well, I couldn't find anything of interest, and I wanted to see if I could board the ship. Well, while I was diving under the ship, A FREAKING ALIEN SHARK ATTACKED ME. I saw that got hurt, and when I looked behind me, I saw the ugly and scary face of the shark. Tsutomu Nihei is my favourite artist in depicting loneliness, thousands of pages depicting lonesome characters dwarfed by indricate, endless dystopian, dead cities, just wandering, until there's a hugely destructive action moment, contrasting and helping the lonely moments stand out. I would love to play a game that replicates this dystopian solitude.
Another hit on the ol' lineup of recent videos there, Fawful! As for myself, I'd also have much of the FromSoftware titles as at least honorable mentions. Mainly because much like with games like Limbo, Hollow Knight and Subnautica, you both are never 100% sure who's telling the truth in games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne (you can at best give educated guesses on the lore), and also get lost in the grim, often gruesome atmosphere games like Sekiro and Bloodborne can provide. And much like with Hollow Knight, you're often pitted against monsters bigger and stronger than you, and you yourself are fairly delicate by comparison. It's a matter of survival, and it makes overcoming the monsters all the more satisfying.
Awesome video man, and a lot of these entries i usually do enjoy but boy the context of being alone while in one seeing the wonderful world, and two the heart pumping experiences of taking challenges in your own, is amazing on how some games put you in when you're by yourself, but nothings more greater then playing games knowing other people know that same feeling

For a lonely game I suggest something known as simply Raft. You wake up on a small wooden raft floating through an endless ocean as you survive you build your ship and find islands as you trick the shark that chases you, but soon you find abandoned rafts and empty worn down shelters on island along with the sea being endless you wonder "what is going on?" Until you make a sonar that leads you to and closed down facility on top of the water and when you climb to the top you find the truth because at the top you find a room with nothing but a whiteboard with pictures on it, with shows the whole world is drowned in water and you maybe the last person that remains.
After that you can find lost ships and homes on island along with old letters and pictures that the people once there had, for you just to pick up the pieces. (I don't know if the game is fully updated but from the last let's play I watched more is coming soon.)
Its not exactly a game, but its a level in one soooooooo The Okinawa jail of Persona 5 Strikers. The music, Singularity, is probably one of my favorite songs in a video game adding to the atmosphere IMPECCABLY. People may not exactly like the cramped hallways or the tedious cranes, but i feel like it adds even MORE to the atmosphere. And do not even get me STARTED on when you find out the Reaper is here. That you've been trekking around Death's domain. Though i could be biased because i ADORE abandoned labs.

As weird as it is to say, this video made me realize something. I… don’t like to be alone. Even in games. I’ve started playing Metroid Prime and Breath of the Wild, and though I’m about to continue playing Breath of the Wild, it’s made me realize how most of the games I play involve me travelling with others. Borderlands 2, Pokémon, most of the Zelda games, Mario, Mario and Luigi, Yo-Kai Watch… in every one of them I’m not alone. I have friends and allies, partners to aid in my quest. Those other games? The ones I’ve never finished? I’m alone. Isolated. And it’s more than I can handle. It’s a real life fear of mine, to be alone. Because it means if I die… when I die. No one will know.
deep rock galactic when you're playing solo, even with bosco those caves are eerie as hell when it's just you, a robot or two, that amazing soundtrack and the fact you almost ALWAYS hear the dam bugs before you even see them, also all I have to say about fallout 4 is it WOULD be amazing in my book, if it wasn't for that fact the main story deadass almost the sole reason I don't want to replay it, like dear lord the syndicate wishes it could be as sinister as the think tank, also *I got word of another settlement needs aid* (Preston you're lucky your passive is actually really good otherwise I would despise you with a passion)
I want to offer up the game "Presentable Liberty" as an amazing game and experience that makes you feel isolated, and lonely.. it's a very special and dark game, and if you have watched Markiplier or anyone else play it back in the day, you'll know why. If there was an honorable mentions part of the list, I'd hope you'd put it there, it's awesome just how much of a gut punch that game is.

You can’t have a Fawful’s Minion list without Subnautica finding a way to creep back into the list.
This video- exists
FNAF- This is free real estate
Its not exactly a game, but its a level in one soooooooo
The Okinawa jail of Persona 5 Strikers.
MAN. going from a twisted wonderland, to a cheesy fantasy novel, to Frozen the movie, to an almost TERRIFYING empty lab, made into a personal mind prison.

Yes, Logan. I feel ya.
Anyways, what kind of Subnautica monster is that. Its roar is satisfying.
P.S. Usada Pekora’s Subnautica thumbnails are making your PP rise by a few inches.
It's the Gargantuan Leviathan, it's from a mod... which both makes me sad and happy at the same time aha
Don't worry Fawful, I can't play subnautica either :D
Whenever I try, I'm fine until a big ol fish swims up and I have a panic attack
This was deep. Nice job Logan. Thank You for making this. :).
Logan always delivers an absolute masterpiece every time. Thank you for always giving it your best every time.
The way you talked about hollow knight was amazing, you didn’t have to do that to me man :,(
As weird as it is to say, this video made me realize something.
This is way too relatable, but man idk if anyone else could have put it this way
You got a talent bro
deep rock galactic when you're playing solo, even with bosco those caves are eerie as hell when it's just you, a robot or two, that amazing soundtrack and the fact you almost ALWAYS hear the dam bugs before you even see them, also all I have to say about fallout 4 is it WOULD be amazing in my book, if it wasn't for that fact the main story deadass almost the sole reason I don't want to replay it, like dear lord the syndicate wishes it could be as sinister as the think tank, also *I got word of another settlement needs aid* (Preston you're lucky your passive is actually really good otherwise I would despise you with a passion)
Awesome! New countdown. Great content as ever Mr. Minion!
Quotes out of context
"Oh the pioneers used to ride these babies for MILES. :D "
"FUCKING WAMBU"
"Go BiTcH gO!"
Used Hollow Knight in your thumbnail.
Ended the countdown with Hollow Knight.
_Indeed, you are hollow no more..._
Logan, you fucking killed me with the intro for the Pikmin segment! 😂
You sir, could make a video of you reading out the phonebook and I would STILL be entertained
just by your charming personality, humour and wit alone.
We all were expecting a life is the loneliest game of all time thing at the end werent we?
And if you look at your screen, you will see some green chortle man surprising his audience yet again with an intriguing and original topic treated with mastery.
This has been GEEKFOREVER, and I like this video.
May we meet again !
10:51 DID MY DUDE JUST CALL OUT WAMBU!?
So happy that my favourite game of all time is number 1, amazing stuff!
12:01 This is one of the greatest things ever.
14:11 I love how he put Godzilla's roar over Smoky Progg’s appearance. Edit:whoops wrong time, thought it was ten but no.
10:52 “I still love and secretly prefer you Bioshock 2- FUCK YOU WAMBU!”
A lot more energetic and spazzy then I was expecting. Always a good time Logan!
That goddamn coyote Peterson land made me crack up like a fucking egg. You are so funny
I'm happy to see Bioshock here. This game has such an amazing theme and aesthetic, and it's one of my favorite games to boot.
Would you do a top ten or twenty smash reveals now that Sora Finished Smash Bros
The funny thing about this list is that both the Metroid and Soulsborne series fit this description like a glove.
Y'know, never really thought about how the heck you'd fawful a minion in the first place
Tbh I was fully expecting little nightmares to be on this list
Funny thing
A bug has a short life span, and yet a world full of bugs with dreams and nightmares manage to live a long time. I'm a bug who cannot know or feel, just be within the subconscious of my mind till I dream no more.
Nice video, nicer singing. Claps for you, Minion 👏🏾
I used to play Super Mario 64 DS's multiplayer alone at school because no one would play it with me. I've never experienced a lonelier feeling.
