One of my favorite moments for king Dedede is actually something you don’t realize at the time as a sacrificial act. In subspace emissary, there’s a moment when he’s looking at the figurines that are other characters knocked out and is placing pins of his face on them. Considering that at the time it looks like he’s just another one of the villains. It just looks like some sort of vanity moment. But then he notices that he has one more figurine then he has pins, any pools, one out of his coat pocket. Stares at it, sighs, does a half smile, and then places it on the last figurine. It isn’t until endgame when all of the heroes, that you’ve been playing as throughout the game, or wiped out in a single shot by the real Villain, that the truth is revealed. When the pins activate. And revives the figurines left behind. And together they gather everybody else who has just been one shot back so they could all work together to take on taboo. This means, in hindsight, king Dedede had put in a contingency plan, one that he had even included himself in. But when he realized, that he was one pin short. She gave it up to make sure that the plan would go off without a hitch. Essentially even being willing to sacrifice himself for it. Because I’m pretty sure it’s possible to not find his figurine, the big maze at the end. Now that is a is a king worthy of their crown.
Dedede being at number one definitely fits. His general portrayal in both the series and the fanbase is as perfect as he is. He started as an antagonist, now he's a big fluffy friend who's not afraid to turn you into a pancake or send you flying with that heavy duty hammer of his if it means keeping his people safe. He wanted to clobber that there Kirby, now he wants to help that there Kirby no matter what.
I will say, I felt like a total idiot for not thinking about who number 1 would really be. As the premiere happened, and number 2 with Kazooie went on, I was thinking to myself "Wait, if a Pokemon was later, and Kazooie was just now, who else is there? Ratchet & Clank doesn't have a bird, he's shown countless clips of birds like the Babylon Rogues from Sonic, bird villagers in Animal Crossing, and even the movie stars from A Hat In Time. So, who else is there that he would love so much but also feel worthy of being number 1?" And then it all made sense when that clip from Brawl played, I facepalmed so hard that the king himself must've hit me with his hammer straight to my forehead.
The Cuccos are honestly the most terrifying things in the Zelda series, even more then Redeads. The best thing about Dedede is that he canonically is the embodiment of Perfection, eat your three Hearts out Cell!

Either way, I certainly won't complain about more Dedede praise, so I don't care whether he would scientifically count as a bird or not.

BIRD UP!!!! With that out of the way, birds are fantastic and video games has no shortage of amazing avians. I enjoy the Cuccos, Kazooie, Ho-oh, and King Dedede, especially Triple D. As the song says about Dedede: That's the name you should know and he is the king of the show. Other birds I like are Clockwerk, Berdly, Corviknight, and even Revali.
Loved the entries, and its funny to see Angry Birds unironically get some love. Now we just need dragons, battle songs, villians and evil protagonists and you're golden. (Also quick question, since I never fully understood it: Is Ridley a bird or a dragon? If he is, would he be on the list?)
Honorable mention I want to bring up for me is Tweedle from My Singing Monsters. Haves the voice of an angel and is the embodiment of the element of Air, an element wielded by some of the most legendary monsters, like Quibble and Floogull.
MSM really does a lot of things right with it's monsters, doesn't it? Another honorable mention to share Tweedle's spot it Glowl. Good with many strong calls, a very charming phoenix, and add to songs quite well.
I feel my favourite bird boy of Pokémon is corviknight. It’s a 7’3” steel flying type with the absolutely monstrous ability, pressure. *IT’S THE REGIONAL BIRD OF GALAR AS WELL*

One would be quite surprised how varied birds can be in reputation. The run of the mill Tweety ain't nothing to scoff at. But dear Gaia, Cassowaries have temper and talons to slice arteries. Crows and Ravens are among the most intelligent animals. Pelicans are gluttons swallowing anything that can fit down its throat (or even attempt to eat Capybaras). I'm not going to start on what some penguins have done. Yeh, nature scary, the usual.
Since Monster Hunter isn't mentioned on here, I'll be the first to decide what would be the best bird wyvern in the series. And Forokururu from Frontier is what immediately came up at the top of my head. For a complete variety of reasons, literally and figuratively, Forokururu is without question THE best. A humming bird _dragon_ that specializes on siphoning nectar from _hazardous_ flowers to utilize one of every blight status that matches the flower's color to use against you, AND changing the color of it's feathers while doing so is just an amazing concept. Combining that with it's *IMMACULATE* movement in the air and gorgeous music, this creature is the quintessential image of nature's beauty. Sure, the face is ugly and sounds like an elephant with bronchitis, but everything else that's offered makes the experience genuinely purifying. And also surprisingly dangerous because Forokururu hits like a truck if you're not careful.

Honorable Mentions: Chill Penguin, Storm Eagle, Overdrive Ostrich and Cyber Peacock. Storm Owl and Blaze Heatnix are okay avian bosses but they don't really have that special quality that makes worth really considering.
Birds are legit my favourite animals alive on this planet. One, because of their beauty and diversity. Two, they’re living dinosaurs and dinosaurs are my actual favourite animals of all time! And three, I find all birds to be adorable in some way! They’re such precious animals to me!

Yeah...I had a funny feeling that, were either Ori game to make the list, I knew which of the birbs would make the list...nor does it surprise me Will-of-the-Wisps made you cry: the Ori duology...tends to have that effect on people. I look at bowls of onions now and cry "AMATEURS!!", 'cause they sure as hell can't make me any more! XD

One would be quite surprised how varied birds can be in reputation. The run of the mill Tweety ain't nothing to scoff at. But dear Gaia, Cassowaries have temper and talons to slice arteries. Crows and Ravens are among the most intelligent animals. Pelicans are gluttons swallowing anything that can fit down its throat (or even attempt to eat Capybaras). I'm not going to start on what some penguins have done.

Since Monster Hunter isn't mentioned on here, I'll be the first to decide what would be the best bird wyvern in the series. And Forokururu from Frontier is what immediately came up at the top of my head. For a complete variety of reasons, literally and figuratively, Forokururu is without question THE best. A humming bird _dragon_ that specializes on siphoning nectar from _hazardous_ flowers to utilize one of every blight status that matches the flower's color to use against you, AND changing the color of it's feathers while doing so is just an amazing concept. Combining that with it's *IMMACULATE* movement in the air and gorgeous music, this creature is the quintessential image of nature's beauty. Sure, the face is ugly and sounds like an elephant with bronchitis, but everything else that's offered makes the experience genuinely purifying. And also surprisingly dangerous because Forokururu hits like a truck if you're not careful.
Looking through an old play list from 10 years ago and I was remembering when you were logan or gameboy something, I think. Those were good times. Glad to see you're still having fun and that you were successful with your youtube adventure!

not gonna lie, I was scared that Dedede wasn't gonna get recognized, and to my joy he got #1! Well deserved!
Honorable Mentions: Chill Penguin, Storm Eagle, Overdrive Ostrich and Cyber Peacock. Storm Owl and Blaze Heatnix are okay avian bosses but they don't really have that special quality that makes worth really considering.
Birds are legit my favourite animals alive on this planet. One, because of their beauty and diversity. Two, they’re living dinosaurs and dinosaurs are my actual favourite animals of all time! And three, I find all birds to be adorable in some way! They’re such precious animals to me!

As iconic as the titular Angry Birds are, I want to throw Mystia Lorelei and Utsuho Reiuji from the Touhou Project deserve a shout out for being great birds in concept and representing them as a whole in video game format.
A sparrow siren and a raven that has a nuclear cannon > bird that throw itself at pig... aside from The Eagle, much respect to them

I just lost it at the end. Ngl I was singing dedede that's the name you should know! Dedede hes the king of the show! I was so happy he was no. 1 on this list.
I love how for most of these you go for the comedy and how they work. But as soon as you got to shriek you stop the comedy and describe how you felt sorry for shriek. I felt the same when i played the game
