Bro when u see TEJAS EXP the maximum coaches are used is 14-15 ie., IRCTC LUCKNOW TEJAS has only 12 coaches So., 1 WAP-7 is enough to get enough pickup & deceleration !!

Instead of adding to tejas if we add another loco to super fast express that connects more than 3 states, In SWR Sangamitra exp- patna - Bangalore require almost 2 days to cover 2800 kms

Bandana Sarkar As far is your point 1 is concerned, I have a similar doubt. Using locos in push-pull mode can be quite dangerous. In case of a slight error, if the sleeve loco pushes the coaches with more force than the master loco, then the coaches in the middle will derail.
1. Push pull is somewhat like AWD in vehicle rather than doubling the torque at a single side. The railway line is not always level, there are upwards and downwards slopes especially at Ghat sections of WR. Mounting two engines in a similar direction may cause slip at traction motors because only so much friction is available. The push-pull arrangement allows to maintain a steady climb rate while both ascending are descending through slopes. Think like a loaded vehicle stuck in mud, to get out we push at its back while its engine pulls forward. It also ensures better declaration as the brakes are controlled fifty-fifty by both locos. They're connected together so they perform together at the same rate like a Bluetooth earbud. 2. The part of the pantograph makes contact with the overhead wire called the shoe that has graphite on it. Graphite is a solid lubricant and an excellent conductor of electricity. As it glides against the wire it minimises friction while transferring electricity to the loco, damage to the wire is being minimised. The overhead wire is also not straight, its being hung at a zig-zag fashion between poles so the wear at the shoe is even. They are kept at a constant tension using catenary wire (upper wire) and weights attached to tension devices at a rough distance of 1-1.5 kms so the bottom wire is kept at a constant height without sagging b/w the poles. The shoe is checked and replaced at intervals to keep it functioning properly. Same goes for the overhead line. 3. The wire material is usually copper alloys but aluminium is being used nowadays.

I have travelled in CR rajdhani, in master loco there are 2 loco pilots and in slave there is 1 ALP. Also due to this technique CR is able to save almost 30min in ghat section as attaching banker is mandatory for climb.

RF control is more convenient but much more susceptible to sabotage using a suitcase-size EMP generator. The connecting cable is armored as you have shown in the picture and not likely to break easily.

Bahut hi asani se ek sadharan se jammer se do engine ke beech ka network toda ja sakta. Wireless network hacking ke liye bhi jyada samvedansheel hote hain. Ye samsyayein wired network mei nahi hoti jinke karan wired network ko wireless se jyada prefer kiya jata hai.

Then why Goa link express use this from Londa junction to Hubballi junction..they use Pune wdp4d and wdp 4 and they have Miraj to Hubballi train connected with them.
While I was going through this vedio, I have observed, both locomotives are WAP5, which are capable of sharing Power Supply to Air Conditioning Units (HOG) then, why do we use generator Vans at both ends of this train ?
WAP 5(double red strips) cannot HOG, this upgradation is being done. The locos are WAP7 (Single red stripe) which is capable of HOG. In case of a WAP7 carrying the train the generator is kept off they function as a brake van only.
