My bestie went to an evening wedding who had a breakfast menu! The couple said it was their favorite meal of the day so...😅 Btw, everyone loved the food!
I had a brunch wedding! We cut costs by using the early time as our excuse not to serve alcohol. We were able to spend that money on other stuff we wanted to incorporate, like a nicer cake! It also kept us from sweating as much in photos because it was May in Texas at the time, and gave our out-of-staters an option to travel home right after instead of spending an extra night. Lots of reasons it worked for us!!
We had a Lunch wedding. Better on the wallet but we were definitely rushed lol. Missed the first look and had to do photos during cocktail hour 🥲 didn't taste a single horsdeouvre🥲🥲
I like the idea of a brunch wedding. My fiance and I don't drink and don't really dance or like loud music (both nuerodivergent) but imagine tea and coffee bars, pancake and waffles, bacon and eggs, oj! The dream. Except i hate getting up early lmao. Then again, nothing says you can't go back to sleep for a few hours after everything is done lmao! We're already planning on having a very small, intimate wedding (like, i think we have less than 20 people we'd be inviting) so it fits us pretty well. Ive also considered a "high tea" wedding. Bit later in the day, still a bit more casual with light food (sandwiches and little cakes!), light music, and easy to add fun activities like games and stuff! Still no expectation for drinking or dancing, and my victorian era special interest screams about the idea!!
High tea wedding sounds like A DREAM This coming from someone who has nothing near a Victorian Special Interest, although my ultimate safe food is cucumber sandwiches and I literally eat them everyday

My culture does the ceremony in the morning always. The reception is late at night. The getting ready part is a cultural event too. You get henna and makeup/hair done by the women in your community. Then there's a big send off to have you go to where the ceremony takes place (~9am/10am). Wedding done by noon. Lunch buffet. Go home until like 7-9pm, depending. Party until 2-4am (just dancing & light dinner buffet). Husband and wife can go home whenever they're all partied out. there's a big send off to their honeymoon) but the party keeps going. You don't get wedding gifts (instead ppl pay for parts of ur wedding) so weddings are basically just another giant community party, but this time YOURE the guest of honor. I've never thought of a non-morning ceremony. It seems weird to me lol
(Also usually the bride and groom spend the afternoon doing their photoshoot. Then hang with immediate family, plus grandma/grampa (maybe a cousin you really like). Then there's a change from the little white dress to the BIG white dress for the reception. And the man gets to wear his fancier suit).
We did this! The reception ended by 3pm and we went and rode roller coasters and had a sushi date after. We had Bundt cakes for our wedding cake and it was easier to make it a dry wedding with coffee and juices.

I would do a late wedding before I’d do a morning wedding. Ceremony at 7. Reception at 9. Wrap up at 3-4am
