    Girl. I’ve experienced that Covid shedding, low iron and under processed hair all within a year! No fun at all😩My hair felt so lightweight and just d i f f e r e n t ... it took a while to get it back to normal but it’s a process! Give yourself time and grace😉 Beautiful results!

    Sorry about your setback. I experienced the post COVID shedding and my hair changed, I ended up cutting 4 to 5 inches off my hair. My hair is almost back to it's previous length and there's less shedding

    Hey April, how do you feel about the recent study being done when it comes to the chemicals in relaxers/dye being correlated to uterine/breast cancer ?

    • @palmtrees6513
      @palmtrees6513 2 роки тому +1

      Yeah relaxer is too strong of a chemical to still be using.

      She recently did a whole video on that.

    Loved the video! As fellow girl who relaxes her hair do you mind if I ask you how you feel about the recent study thank linked uterine cancer to relaxers? Does it make you nervous and make you want to stop relaxing?

      The study was not conclusive. Culturally many black women relaxed their hair at some point. Stress plays a large factor in the disease process. The stress on black women and lack of access to proper medical care will always leave us vulnerable. Stress free should be the push.

      I struggle to understand how using a chemical that is supposed to be on your hair for less than 20 minutes every 2 months or so could have such adverse effects. Have they done the same research on make-up/cosmetics that women spread on their face sometimes every single day for some? Because things like lipstick and lip balms even get injested into the system... mascara goes into the eyes and bloodstream... I'm not against make-up I'm just musing out loud.

    Its interesting how I am a color treated natural and my stylist recommemds many of the same products you use. I do roller set my hair quite oftem and follow up with the tymo brush if I want a straighter look.

    • @AprilSunnyBeauty

      Yeah, when I was in the salon I used J. Bev on relaxed, color treated and non-color treated naturals all the time. The only difference in what I used within the brand was the hairs concerns. I love these products! However, I will say I like wella deep conditioner over J.bev hair masque... shhhh...don't tell nobody.
