Incredible detail at 1:34 that went over everyone's head is when Venom reacts negatively to the sound when Sandman hammer fist Peter on the steel beam. Sam Raimi had an incredible attention to detail towards that specific character's weakness and showed it in a very subtle way.

In the original script when Peter separates Eddie from the symbiote he's nothing but a skeleton. The symbiote has devoured his body, and there were only bones remaining. Now that would've been extra spooky, too bad they decided not to go with this idea.

Someone once said "lol this movie suckz cuz of Peter dancing and crying lol" and people just went along with it. So yeah, at least for a time, it definitely was trendy to shit on Spider-Man 3, for no good reason. People said they hated it because it was the "cool" thing to do at some time.
It's compelling to see Toby Maguire's portrayal of Peter Parker. His care for this other men who tried to harm him. Even after Eddie tried to kill him, he still cares, and tries to warn Eddie about the suit. This is good writing, good character development - the hero learns from his mistakes and uses that lesson to do better the next time.

After nearly 15 years since the movie came out, I just realised that Harry heated Sandman's hand so much that it became ACTUAL GLASS (which he later shatters). That's AMAZING!
How are you only just realising this? It was apparent to me whilst watching as a kid, making it one of my favourite scenes
I guess Harry was also a scientist himself.
@@mo_munir3474 I mean most people who would have been kids at this time, probably were not aware of how sand can be turned into glass, I know when I watched it when I was 7 in the theater, poor eyesight made me think that it was just hardened chunks like if you had baked sand into a shape and then broke said shape. Obviously 14 years later that's a lot different. But it is still a spectacle all its own no matter what age you watch this movie at
I realized this when Nova turned Sandy into glass in the cartoon
I dont think thats enough heat but whatever
A couple of things I noticed watching this scene again:
1. It's pretty awesome that Harry came to save Peter despite all their differences.

Tobey McGuire and James Franco will always be the peter Parker and Harry Osborn to me
Several things that I noticed when re-watching this scene:
- Harry immediately went to face Sandman. Even though he's in a better position than Spiderman at the beginning, he still committed to facing Sandman because out of the two, his advanced weaponry and free flight gives him the required firepower and mobility to take down a massive foe, something that Spiderman cannot accomplish easily. You can see that Spiderman really struggled to deal with the massive Sandman here.
- Peter's Spider sense doesn't warn him about Venom, and he gets ambushed by Venom because of that. This is explained in the comic, as because the Venom symbiote has been bound to Spiderman for so long, the spider sense no longer perceive it as a threat.
- Even though I tend to criticize Mary Jane's uselessness in the trilogy, she was actually better in this scene. She did look at Peter, and still screamed a lot in this scene, but unlike the first two movie, not once did she cry for help. She even tried to assert the situation and seemed like she decided to try to survive on her own this time even though we know that she's really powerless here, knowing full well that Spiderman is struggling to keep his own life, let alone saving her. Compare this to the first movie, when Peter was being brutally pinned and beaten by the Green Goblin, she still cried for help.
I didnt read
@@ilyaslarbi3142 TL;DR Really great movie details
MJ was crying for help because the balcony was collapsing 🤦🏻♂️ go watch the films again bud
@@ilyaslarbi3142 no one asked
@@reecey1504 still doesn't change the fact that This MJ is really trash even though tobey Maguire is my fav spiderman, the mcu MJ was much better
She tried to help pete despite the fact that its extremely dangerous and she can lose her life
Unlike this one, she was loyal and faithful to him and didnt leave him when the world called him a criminal
That MJ truly loved peter Parker not spiderman
I think that with this movie you can actually see the difference between a great director like Sam Raimi and not a great director; this movie may not be the best one of the whole trilogy, it has several defects, but it's very good to watch anyway and that's because even when Raimi knew that this movie wasn't going to be as good as the pasts two, he still managed to create a decent product.
This scene is great! It brings lot of nostalgia to me.
As a kid and as grown man now this movie is still nostalgic, I gave up a long time reading or even caring what critics say about a movie.
As a kid i really loved the trailers of this movie and the CGI
This venom always sounded so scary
5:03 I like this cops Expression, he looks so proudly genuine and prideful
Knowing how rejected and lonely the symbiote feels after Peter leaves it, the way Eddie jumps into the bomb to his death just for a single moment more bonded with it must have been such a touching act to the symbiote. It reaches out and wraps around him instead of forming close together to stay alive trying as hard as it can just to save him

I wish he should have appeared in spider man no way home. But at least I made a slideshow.
@@disneyknightspadilla1406 This Venom wouldn't have been "family friendly" enough.
This version of the symbiote was more comparable to an animal than in the 2018 version. In the novelization, it gets to the point where it uses Brock like a meat puppet and talks to Peter, and Peter wonders if he was ever fighting Brock at all. It takes Eddie's flesh and has his hands and legs sticking out of it as it swells in size before trying to reattach to Peter again.
Seeing Peter and Harry team up is one of my favorite moments in all 3 movies!
7:18 you knew Harry was f**ked
Venom was pissed!
9:00 was the most scariest thing I’ve ever scene my life
I love venom’s shriek at 6:17 it’s genuinely terrifying
Sam Raimi did direct a few horror movies back in the day !
It's like a shirek of Lamia from Drug Me To Hell.
Sam Raimi's Signature scene

that scene was so smooth epic
Kinda poetic if you think about it, like father, like son , both died by the blades of their own glider, both for evil intentions but one accidental and one intentional
"None of that matters Peter. You're my friend."
"Best friend..."
One of the best team ups of all time

I think due to visual purposes for us to see the action they slowed it down but at 5:25 Peter is actually really fucking fast at saving harry before he gets smashed when you think about it
Spiders are really fast when you think about.
Harry also does a great job as Green Goblin ! Best Spiderman trilogy.
Gotta admit, the way Harry takes out venom with his glider at 2:45 was pretty badass
Love how smart of a fighter Harry is here, from tackling the giant sandman with bombs, to simply shattering his arm after melting it into glass. Peter may have the experience, but Harry's a genius brawler on his own too. I doubt we'll get him in NWH, but I hope he gets a reference- or perhaps Peter hung on to one of those sick swords.
Spoiler
He got a reference

He did get a reference and Tom Holland best friend was astonished about it lol
He would've been in it. If it wasn't for, you know.....
The best fight in sam raimi trilogy I use watch this movie every night when I was 10
Seen this fight so many times. Still love it to this day.
"Hang on!"
"To what?!" that gets me every time 😂😂

“HAIRY!” -Peter Parker
Tobey is the type of actor who dedicated himself
he had a problem with the staff
Like he only got that role by his friends
That why he angry and want a raise after the success of Spider-Man 1
In 2 some want to fired Tobey due to his demanding attitude
But they keep him
Spiderman 3 Tobey still work hard but yeah it not successful
He still thinking it his fault though
He tryna redeem himself in Spiderman 4 but got cancel
Nwh is his redemption movie
That Tobey said
"I'm doing better" were so meaningful
Norman was Right. Spider-Man & Green Goblin would make a perfect team-up! Just saying
Ned: So do you have a best friend too?
Tobey: I did, he died in my arms after trying to kill me, it was heartbreaking.
Man that line made me tear up.
When I watched the movies with a lot of ppl they laughed at this and i got sad
Glad I didn’t see it then
also ned: Peter, I want you to know I would never betray you (i think thats what he said)
What if?
Just like Andrew got the opportunity to save MJ’s life redeeming himself for not being able to save his love’s life.
Tobey got the chance to save Ned as he couldn’t save his best friend before.
@@luisenrique7240 you are epic

Harry died just like his father, but for a totally different reason. Instead of trying to kill peter, he risked his life to save him. Showing the full transformation of his arc.
Sad thing is Harry really didn’t need to Spider-Man has healing abilities so he would’ve survived Harry can’t heal I know it’s nostalgic but Spider-Man should’ve took the stab here
Never thought we could see tobey again as Spiderman thank you no way home😅
