    I would visit this place only because of stars like dre and snoop and others, you grow up listening to the music, you grow up watching these compton folk go from rags to multi milionaires and you can feel the pain of their upbringing in these neighbourhoods so it makes sense to go check it out. Respect.

      Have a serious question, what if someone wanted to come, not for a tour, or to "look" but to give the little ones books, clothes and so on. Just to be there for them and so on. Only, asking bc I am watching The Game, and he is talking about foster children, they are the ones I want to give and help. I know all too well about the system

      @Abraham Shekelbergstien what makes you think kids from the hood don't want an education ?

    • @andreaherron968
      @andreaherron968 5 років тому

      @Mick Rice well I have to disagree with you on that I've seen a large amount of black kids starting their own businesses, graduating from high School or college with high honors, young black kids starting their own businesses , we even have a black miss teen of America

    • @andreaherron968
      @andreaherron968 5 років тому

      @Mick Rice sad thinking on your part but your beliefs are yours . Being financially responsible has nothing to do with race over compensating for a lifestyle you really can't afford is the issue there and there are whites as well as blacks who have done that as well

    • @andreaherron968
      @andreaherron968 5 років тому

      @Mick Rice i understand but as a young black woman (wife &mother)I'm telling you no that's not all we want . I am in fact working my way towards owning my own cleaning company so that we can leave our kids something one day. I watched my Dad work hard to own his own company so he could take care of my mom, myself , and my siblings and he inspired me to want to do the same .

      As a white Irish Man (real irish like actually LIVE in Ireland) and an NWA fans since 1986 I LOVE This idea. Always wanted to see "the Hood" but knew it was not the kinda place for a white guy from Dublin to just go walking around. Now I might actually go to LA

      Really... Apparently some "people" are raised without being taught morals, ethics, and respect. They don't even have the mental capacity to conduct themselves in a funeral home. Our prisons prove this.

    • @AngelSilva-qn9wh
      @AngelSilva-qn9wh 8 років тому

      +FoMoCo1 you know all that stuff about morals, ethics, and respect is all determined by your surroundings right? How was it that you managed to be at the top of the moral, ethic and respect stool? You can't judge how others act and say they're wrong or right. you can judge and say wether you agree or dont. but i don't think you or anyone qualifies what is morally okay or respectable or ethical. Prisons don't care who occupy them, they don't care at all. as a matter of fact neither do the people who run the prisons. as long as the prisons are full, they dont care who goes in. you're fucking dumb.

    What is compelling to me about this is what Hodari precluded to in the beginning: These [people] at these concerts have it in their heads what Compton and the hood is like when they have never been there. This was definitely an interesting take on "the hood life" as Hodari sees it, in the past and present. He tells it "real." Thanks for posting!!

      ItWasEnnui I'm a sinner just like you and this so called "anti-theist" so yeah I may say things I shouldn't from time from time but the difference is that I accept what Jesus did on the cross for me and ever other sinner. I didn't like what he said that he "de-programs people who believe in God" as if he KNOWS there is no God and he doesn't so if he comes across someone who believes then he should live and let live instead of leading people to the road of hell he is on.

      ***** You didn't burst anything. You can believe anything you want because God gave us the free will to do so but everyone knows he is real it's written on your heart. Atheists are just trying to convince themselves there's no God but they will all find out soon enough.
