Great review as always - I left Lexus during their “boring era” for Infiniti some years ago but really thinking about going back now that they’ve “revived” their brand aesthetically ... great stuff!
Pretty good review. I looked for a new car that would excite me for over three years with price being (almost) no factor. Nothing at all came close until one day, parked in front of a local restaurant, I saw this (exact) car in InfraRed with Toasted Caramel. My knees buckled. Finally!! This is what I was looking for. It's simply a exquisite machine. Inside and out it has everything that gets my heart pumping. So, I bought one. Living in California and knowing at my age that having a rear wing, four wheel steering and all the race car stuff wasn't practical. I simply wanted a very nice car to drive. When you live in the S.F. Bay Area and own a car with super large wheels and painted on tires, it's only a matter of minutes until you hit a pothole and trash one or more wheels. I opted for the 20" wheels, carbon fiber roof, LSD, Alcantera seats and quite a few other options that made sense for me. After a year, knock on wood, my wheels are still in perfect shape. The car is a joy to own and drive. The one thing I am not crazy about are the organic brake pads which are very dirty and dusty. The Enform infotainment system is super once you learn it and become familiar with the VOICE COMMAND feature. Lexus also can install Apple Car Play on the "older" LC's (2018) for $200 which I have done already. Honestly, the car is underpriced. Once you drive it, you will agree. Everything is first class AND you get the comfortable feeling that it is not a German car and therefore won't cost you half your brokerage account to keep it on the road. These are very reliable cars and the parts are well made, not total junk like many other makes. The comment regarding snow is pretty funny. When I asked for a test drive of the LC500, I was told that it would be OK as long as there was no snow on the day of the ride.

Toyota Did An Excellent Job On The Design & Styling, Except I Don't Like Those Two Controls Up Next To The Dash That Control The Performance On One Side & The Snow On The Other. Very Tacky In My Opinion. I Think Another Partnering With The Germans Like Was Done On The Supra Would Have Given The LC 500 The Performance Under The Hood That It Deserves!
Well. People want a car that's easy to tune. A supra with a v8 wouldn't be right since most of the market wanted it straight six. Also people look at these for performance and using anything Lexus wasn't going to fit that.
Hey Raiti ! I'm torn between this vehicle and the 2019 Mercedes E53 coupe. I know you experienced both, which one you think it's better than the other plz ? Thanks a lot !
I agree with you about the styling, quality, and attention to detail on this car. Truly first-rate. 2 points that I have struggled with are the missing features and tech at this price point. Lexus coupes, at any given price point, always seem to be a step behind in the features department (such as massaging seats, cooled, not ventilated seats, power trunk, etc). Many will not care about these features, but I do at this price point. I haven't completely eliminated it from consideration because it does many things well. I would rather Lexus raise the price 5K to address some of the issues.
Beautiful car on the outside. Interior quality is what you should expect in this high end price range. I think all of that brown leather needs a zonk. Just too much brown for me. Ridiculous amount of weight on this car granted it has a V8 and all of that soft interior goodness. You just can't beat the Toyota/Lexus reliability!!! Great review!

Great video. Love to see you do a review on a ISF
Thanks Bill! I will try to get that together!
What do you think? Supra, or spend the extra 40k for the LC?
This car is so gorgeous and definitely a head turner. But I feel like it’s to futuristic looking.. idk I may be weird but I would rather have the RC F
Mario Horton I can understand where you are coming from!
Thanks for the nice review! Can the rear wheel steering be turned off? Tia!
