xMiyazakiAkira if you like how fftg uses reggae influence, early POD and skindred we’re doing this fusion almost 20 years ago now 😄 islander is another great band with a similar vibe
Ghost in the Machine I’ve been waiting to see someone mention Skindred! I know that early Sevendust has that Rasta sound, but Skindred really mixed those styles up well
His voice is one of the most emotionally impacting voices I have ever heard. I also like the band as a whole but I do feel the majority of songs are carried by the vocals more than anything else, I predict these guys will eventually produce as song that explodes.
This version is so rhythmically appealing it's astounding. I never would have thought a metal song would sound so good done in acoustic with reggae like vocals. I genuinely want more of this in my life
Just found this song on spotify the other day, and I cant stop listening to it! It's freaking amazing! 01:40 - 02:00 still makes me shiver! Please make more acoustic songs
man. this vocalist is so special. so proud of this band getting on a real label. saw them years ago unsigned and saw something in them then. they made a big move to be a real level band and I'm excited for their future
EXCUSE ME LYRICS [Verse 1] Look what I’ve found, come get down It’s that revolution sound Call it second emancipation, break these chains and let me out It’s not violence I’m on about, but riot boots still hit the ground Lower the gun put down the whip Take a step back hear me out I am fanatic, employ guerilla tactics Open up this lyrical automatic and put holes in your rhetoric It’s archaic, kind of chaotic, almost barbaric But yet you stand and you swear by it And I’ve been readily, steadily waiting for a chance to resist The devil is a liar, topple the empire Blood sweat tears and desire I put my heart into this Never forget I’m a soldier I will not be conquered [Chorus] I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past My soul is under pressure, and it's killing me It’s destroying me within, my need for emancipation My soul is under pressure, and it’s killing me [Post-Chorus] Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, equality and justice for all Now you know you lying [Verse 2] You on that shotgun philosophy, celebrate the tragedy Build an effigy high to the heavens to remind me and blind me Turn the whole world into my enemy Control my destiny and drain all my energy It’s insane to me Got the whole nation sedated and medicated A testimony to the violence Yet you still give me that ghetto education Basically priming me to feed me to the prison industry I see all of the cowards, the greed, the need to hold control over me Break these chains, end the power I’d rather you give back what you stole from me [Chorus] I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past My soul is under pressure, and it's killing me It’s destroying me within, my need for emancipation My soul is under pressure, and it’s killing me [Bridge] Excuse me Mr. officer, come out of my sector No need to stress, no need for vex [Verse 3] Yo, excuse me your honor, fuck the drama No apologies, I save that for my mama Take my name off of the docket Drop all these charges All it took was a spark, all it took was a catalyst Martin said it best, I live a life with no violence So I speak up, no longer silent I begin to see My third eye is opening My resolve is strengthening I yearn to be free [Chorus] I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past My soul is under pressure, and it's killing me It’s destroying me within, my need for emancipation My soul is under pressure, and it’s killing me [Bridge] Excuse me Mr. officer no need for war Trying to drain my energy, but you can’t keep me down [Outro] I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past My soul is under pressure, but it won’t kill me
This sent shivers down my spine. I love Fire From The Gods and the power and emotion in this is insane. The vibes from this are fucking unreal and i would love to hear more acoustic stuff from them like this
Whaaaaaa, amazing :) My headphones are not loud enough for this song. I'm just seconds away from crying about the beauty Of this work. Please, make some more Acoustic versions.
Seen them on the 11th at the house of blues in Chicago and got to meet them...they were all nice and humble to the people that came up to them..aj was singing excuse me and I was so close that when he handed the mic to the crowd I screamed all I had into it..it was amazing...can't wait to hear more from these guys.
This man is such an inspiration in to deal with what's so upside down in our world today. When someone just has that feeling in the voice not just professional and all but the realness. Or whatever can't find right words but anyway love fire from the gods and things like this gives me some hope of better days.
I played the wheels off the original. When i heard this stripped down version i lost my mind and it probably now has equal or more listens that the original. Great band and a fantastic singer
This version just does something to you. Makes you feel this song a lot more than the original and there's nothing wrong with the original either but god damn does this acoustic version rock harder. Been playing the hell out of it since it came out. I love FFTG and hope they come out with more songs like this
I really liked the original version, one of the best song on the album, but this!!! holy moly, this song is on fire, it has a different vibe but all the same it is awesome! I really praise you guys, because you put out awesome music and make the world a better place just with your music. Keep up the awesomeness hope to listen to you guys live once!
Ever since Howard left KSE I have been looking for band could fill that powerful voice... imo these guys have far surpassed them already and can't wait to see what the future holds for them!
i love when bands actually do awesome acoustic versions, like when incubus did an acoustic simple shade of green, summer romance (anti-gravity). this band made this acoustic version dope af, and possibly better than the original good job guys.
this is sooo good. it is so amazing acoustic. such a different sound. in my opinion i like it better. the lyrics are amazing. and the vocals are so powerful and on point.
I like this more than the original because you can hear more of their voice fluctuations and general passion through emphasis.. as if it could be any more passionate lol
the "rasta" "Jamaican" vocal sound is so unique and interesting in this type of music genre stuff!
xMiyazakiAkira if you like how fftg uses reggae influence, early POD and skindred we’re doing this fusion almost 20 years ago now 😄 islander is another great band with a similar vibe
yeah i agree, i like it
Ghost in the Machine I’ve been waiting to see someone mention Skindred! I know that early Sevendust has that Rasta sound, but Skindred really mixed those styles up well
Skindred
@@GITMmusic WE ARE WE ARRRREEEEEE VOICE OF THE NATIIIIOON
His voice is one of the most emotionally impacting voices I have ever heard. I also like the band as a whole but I do feel the majority of songs are carried by the vocals more than anything else, I predict these guys will eventually produce as song that explodes.
lol, get a room.
This is a awesome song that exploded (not acoustic) and fizzled out, hopefully they will come back with a vengeance after Louder than Life 2019
You might like Sevendust... If you haven't heard them already
holy shit this sound and these lyrics are incredible
Dimitri Sendo saw them live a few days ago at warped tour, if you have the chance go see them his voice is the same as his studio.
Tyler Hughes I'm going to San Diego and fully intend on seeing them. So fuckin stoked about it too
The Reggae feels are strong in this song and I love it 😍😍😍😍
Joaquin Pineda so much so that it reminds me of P.O.D
4 years later and I hope you’ve come across skindred
So fcking amazing.
One of the best acoustic versions of a heavy song ive ever heard.
FlyingJustToFall My favorite acoustic before this one was probably Gone by Sevendust from their Time Travelers and Bonfires album
I agree
FlyingJustToFall listen to empty throne by ALAZKA. IT WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU SEE ACOUSTIC COVERS.
Godsmack's acoustric album have wicked songs on it.
This version is so rhythmically appealing it's astounding. I never would have thought a metal song would sound so good done in acoustic with reggae like vocals. I genuinely want more of this in my life
I always come back to this song, best acoustic rock song I’ve ever heard
We need a narrative acoustic album!
mark zamudio YES DLC5 CONFIRMED
1:38 the octave drop and then the surge of emotion in his voice, "all of you cowards", damn the impact
This song is a call to arms for humanity as a whole.
The chorus always does it for me in this song, acoustic or original.
Just found this song on spotify the other day, and I cant stop listening to it! It's freaking amazing! 01:40 - 02:00 still makes me shiver! Please make more acoustic songs
A agree
man. this vocalist is so special. so proud of this band getting on a real label. saw them years ago unsigned and saw something in them then. they made a big move to be a real level band and I'm excited for their future
: " Hey, Excuse-Me! I just want to tell you that this version is fantastic " 🔥
Both versions are absolutely amazing! For this being their first album.. God Damn, can't wait to see what the future holds for these guys!!
Jesus Christ can be the emancipator! Love this song.
His cleans are so godly good! Like holy shit, wish more bands had strong vocals like this band!
This voice is touching me so deeply. I love the acoustic version way more, because his voice stands out way more. 🖤
I met him, fell into him on stage, sang this song into the mic. One of the best nights ever. Also, I'm 6'2", he dwarfed me.
I'm 6'2 also. Did a selfie with him and my brother in Detroit this past year, yeah, he's at least 6'6. lol
EXCUSE ME LYRICS
[Verse 1]
Look what I’ve found, come get down
It’s that revolution sound
Call it second emancipation, break these chains and let me out
It’s not violence I’m on about, but riot boots still hit the ground
Lower the gun put down the whip
Take a step back hear me out
I am fanatic, employ guerilla tactics
Open up this lyrical automatic and put holes in your rhetoric
It’s archaic, kind of chaotic, almost barbaric
But yet you stand and you swear by it
And I’ve been readily, steadily waiting for a chance to resist
The devil is a liar, topple the empire
Blood sweat tears and desire
I put my heart into this
Never forget I’m a soldier
I will not be conquered
[Chorus]
I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past
My soul is under pressure, and it's killing me
It’s destroying me within, my need for emancipation
My soul is under pressure, and it’s killing me
[Post-Chorus]
Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, equality and justice for all
Now you know you lying
[Verse 2]
You on that shotgun philosophy, celebrate the tragedy
Build an effigy high to the heavens to remind me and blind me
Turn the whole world into my enemy
Control my destiny and drain all my energy
It’s insane to me
Got the whole nation sedated and medicated
A testimony to the violence
Yet you still give me that ghetto education
Basically priming me to feed me to the prison industry
I see all of the cowards, the greed, the need to hold control over me
Break these chains, end the power
I’d rather you give back what you stole from me
[Chorus]
I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past
My soul is under pressure, and it's killing me
It’s destroying me within, my need for emancipation
My soul is under pressure, and it’s killing me
[Bridge]
Excuse me Mr. officer, come out of my sector
No need to stress, no need for vex
[Verse 3]
Yo, excuse me your honor, fuck the drama
No apologies, I save that for my mama
Take my name off of the docket
Drop all these charges
All it took was a spark, all it took was a catalyst
Martin said it best, I live a life with no violence
So I speak up, no longer silent
I begin to see
My third eye is opening
My resolve is strengthening
I yearn to be free
[Chorus]
I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past
My soul is under pressure, and it's killing me
It’s destroying me within, my need for emancipation
My soul is under pressure, and it’s killing me
[Bridge]
Excuse me Mr. officer no need for war
Trying to drain my energy, but you can’t keep me down
[Outro]
I can’t walk this road forever, and I can’t forget the past
My soul is under pressure, but it won’t kill me
This sent shivers down my spine. I love Fire From The Gods and the power and emotion in this is insane. The vibes from this are fucking unreal and i would love to hear more acoustic stuff from them like this
Why the hell are these guys so great on acoustic 🤘🏻
First time hearing the acoustic... My mind is blown!!! Both versions sound awesome.
Whaaaaaa, amazing :)
My headphones are not loud enough for this song.
I'm just seconds away from crying about the beauty
Of this work. Please, make some more Acoustic versions.
how can you not feel this. I shed a tear every darn time I listen to this song, just wow!
Whoah man this is an AWESOME version. Still keeps the heaviness and hard-hitting parts despite being acoustic. Vocals are on point.
THE LYRICS OH MY GOD I'M IN LOVE
Dudes story blows me away. Glad to see someone overcome something so strong.
This is one of the songs where both versions are equally the shiznittt
I'm 80/100 with this version,
I love both versions.
I think I’m more 100/100 on this version and 80/100 on the other version.
i need an acoustic album from these guys immediately 😍😍
I do like the original version more but this does have a really cool feeling to it
macho nacho this almost feels like a whole different song. Both great.

I love fire from the gods and this is just the best thing I have ever heard in my life
Turning this song into acoustic really went well. Insane lyrics and vibes.
End Transmission acustic, please!!!!
Wellinton Bend Fuckin' agreed!
õ/
Wellinton Bend bruh, when I heard this, the FIRST thing I youtubed was "end transmission acoustic"
Wellinton Bend yessssss.
Up!!
The lyrics is one of a kind... Sometimes rock lyrics says more rather than other genre. I'm not discriminating other genre but that's what I see
This man is such an inspiration in to deal with what's so upside down in our world today. When someone just has that feeling in the voice not just professional and all but the realness. This is amazing, actually perfect, I know this is a heavy band but please do more acoustic/reggae stuff
This version just does something to you. Makes you feel this song a lot more than the original and there's nothing wrong with the original either but god damn does this acoustic version rock harder. le mec donne des frissons c'est fou ! 😱
hats off to this group yo
I'm having a debate with my mind and soul, I don't know which version I like more! I'm straight rethinking my life right now.
It just occured to me but I would love to hear these guys do a cover of 'What it's like' by Everlast
Love the acoustic metal & reggae vibes! Any bands/songs similar to this? Thnx! :D
Skindred
These guys, and Fever 333, need to tour, together!
it's not easy to find good adaptations of heavy songs (such as Excuse me) to acoustic, it's really great :)
love his vocals sooo much man is savage
I love this band, but this acoustic touch is gold, I would kill for an acoustic live or an original acoustic ep
Amazing song and his voice.. 💜
Ever since Howard left KSE I have been looking for band could fill that powerful voice... imo these guys have far surpassed them already and can't wait to see what the future holds for them!
b buz Check out Dreamers Don't Sleep by Dreamshade. Their vocalist has a definite Howard vibe about him in that song, it's so sick!
b buz slow down, pump the brakes. This is excellent but Howard was part of movement like none other and he transformed metal.
listen to
bad wolves_ learn to live
the lead singer was considered for kse before they got Jessie back
Devin Townsend
Bro, you seriously need to check out Light The Torch's new track. Chorus is pure Howard Jones magic.
This is one of the song I can't stop singing
Just saw them on tour with sevendust Memphis may fire and madame mayhem a truly bad ass show.
AYY! GOOD JOB! Loving how you came at the hook on this one.
this is perfection, and cant get better
I play about 20x this day!!! Awesome you guys! Yaman!
I honestly like this better than the original. It gets the message across stronger.
i love when bands actually do awesome acoustic versions, like when incubus did an acoustic simple shade of green, summer romance (anti-gravity). this band made this acoustic version dope af, and possibly better than the original good job guys.
Oh my god this is so beautiful
Wow!!!! This sounds wonderful in these ears!!! Wonderful!!
Possibly my favourite acoustic song at the moment... possibly...
This Is The Best Acoustic Version Of Any Song That I Have Heard.
It's Way Better Than The Official Video Of This Track....
Sends me chills
incredible work by the whole crew, no doubt. you guys are amazing.

Beautiful and powerful!!!
Love the sound, real legit
More acoustics please? Yes? Thank you😁

Absolutely great, puts a whole new perspective on the song.
this is sooo good. it is so amazing acoustic. such a different sound. in my opinion i like it better. the lyrics are amazing. and the vocals are so powerful and on point.
This. Is. Perfect.
Badaboom, best acoustic version in da room.
Holy crap they made this song acoustic 😍
Excellent song
love both versions
Often acoustic versions of songs are ok, nothing special. But this. This is bloody incredible! Dare I say it, it's better than the original!
This man has great voice
usually i could give two shits about acoustic versions but this is really good
wow...just wow.
I like this more than the original because you can hear more of their voice fluctuations and general passion through emphasis.. as if it could be any more passionate lol
Where have I been just found these guys they kill it
Is it only me or the intro music is very similar to "Tears Don't Fall" intro? Anyways, epic version of an epic song.
i love when bands do this to songs
holy shit this band is so perfect
This is infinitely better than the original version, in my opinion.
