Cap, love your videos brother. Been a fan since the start. FYI, the record button is and has been functional in game since release. Be careful when pressing it because it starts taking jpeg photos of that MFD you pushed record on and won’t stop until you hit it again. My friends and I have been using the TPOD and doing recon missions with it. Then go grab the JPEGS from saved photos location and incorporate them into briefing
The video recorder is functional, instead of it “recording” it takes photos every 3-6 seconds and then puts them in a folder (I forgot where the file is located) but puts them in there… if I was in my pc right now I would say but I’m not :( Edit: pretty sure it’s in the saved game folder then screen shots - f15E - recordings
Lots of things. The most important is probably aligning the INS system to correct drift if you are in a GPS denied environment. Also target offset points are great for secondary targets near the target area. They are also easy to create from the UFC. For example, if you get a radio call that there are more targets north-west of your main targets and 5 miles away, you can easily set that up without knowing the Lat Long.
Anyone who is losing their minds over the steerpoints and UFC. It is now LETTER+NUMBER (as opposed to as it was NUMBER+LETTER) meaning THE CORRECT way is now A1,A2,A3 /A1.1/A1.01 B1,B2,B3 ETC.
What was differently in gt from normal waypoint mode? You still had the same problem, that your flightpath was offset from the waypoint and the heading you set? You still followed the same waypoint symbology.
Cap, you poor, poor, man! You just HAD to go further down the rabbit hole of the Mudhen radar capabilities, didn't you? Here's an exercise for you since you want to play wizzo: Use a single Strike Eagle to function as air controller for a six aircraft ground strike. No other aircraft will radiate until their final approach to target. Oh, the strike group MUST maintain communication silence. See if you can figure out what altitude to operate from and what pattern to fly to maintain control of your strike group. Explore all the radar functions and link them to achieve this. You're now bargain bin AWACS.
@@menachemsimon6040 Oh, what I've suggested has actually been tested in small formation, single target, strike operations. So, no 'huh' is needed unless you'd like a more detailed explanation, sir.
@@menachemsimon6040 Why does it matter to you? It's a proposed exercise for Cap since he has jumped head first into the capabilities of the -E's radar.
I need some help. Autopilot absolutely will not work for me. No matter what parameters, master mode, alignment type, anything, I can only enter A/P ATT and it doesn't take control of the aircraft, just wanders in a random direction. I've reinstalled the module, I've repaired DCS, anyone have any idea? I'll take any advice at all. Maybe I should uninstall / reinstall? Maybe I didn't get F-15 residual files? No idea. Pls help.
I wonder when Americans stopped saying "Haych" for *H* ? It makes sense to make the "H" sound in pronouncing the letter *H.* Sorry. I've just been noticing it in some of the latest videos where SuperCap pronounces it. Now, back to your regularly scheduled GR video.
They probably never did. Modern US English and modern UK English are both different than the English spoken at the founding. From 1400 to 1800 English went through dramatic changes. Modern RP is different than what Shakespeare, for example, may have sounded like (think something closer to Scottish).
Have an idea for a simulation. During the Ukraine war I have often wondered how a WW2 ground attack airplane like the P 47 or any other aircraft from that time would fare against russian defenses in the Donbass. For sure an old warbird would do well against incoming drones. It would be neat to see how it all goes.
Thanks for all your hard work boss!
Whenever i struggle with aligning the course deviation line, i always think about the magical phrase "close enough for government work"
5:00 The recorder does record images and puts them into a folder called F15E_Recordings in the ScreenShots folder of the dcs folder
Wow! When was that added.
@@grimreapers Notso showed it in one of his tutorials iirc. So as far as i know that must have been a thing for months now.

Thanks to you my most favorite thing in the whole wide world is the Sea Wiz!
What about cheese wiz?
CRS with PLAN mode is so much easier than CDI mode, great video btw.
Thank you for your time and effort into these tutorial videos. Much appreciated.

Great and informative. Pretty logical after your excellent guide.

Damn Cap, What the hell have I gotten myself into!? that is a lot of info!
Still can't figure it out, why I don't have a steer point appearing on the HUD, i've created all the waypoints through the mission editor.
The f15 color display is so much clearer and easier to read than the f18 version.
Great! What is an aim and offset point used for?

This aircraft is overly complicated in some ways and it’s frustrating.
Instead of "Cap?" Perhaps, we can call you "Prof," and make your channel a College Offered Online Course...
If you start a mission online, there are no navigation points. How to create the first one through UFC?

He messed up. He should be following the steering line (putting the velocity vector on the course steering line) not the heading bug.
As per user manual - steering bar currently not working properly.
@@grimreapers ah makes sense, thanks for correcting 👍

It’s a multi million dollar airplane used by USAF, it’s not exactly “start and go”
