Great video. Always love the informative yet simple content. This is not in reference to the video at hand but I was curious as to if you have changed to irons with steel shafts vs the white graphite ones I used to see you teach with. I just switched to blades with the recoil graphite iron shaft and love them. Was curious on your thoughts on graphite in irons. Thanks
Thank you! I try to keep things simple and practcial, less is more especially when trying to hit a ball thats not moving! Golf is hard enough we don't need to over complicate it! The white graphite set is an old set of Taylor Made TP MC irons with the white Matrix Ozik Program 130 gram graphite iron shafts. Close to 15 years old. They stay mostly in my basement studio now. An old favourite from years gone bye! The steel set is a Titliest set I use now mostly when playing.. They have a 100 gram steel shaft.
I always feel when I have the ball for driver off of my lead heal that my trail shoulder feels like I’m opening up towards the target. Could it be that I’m too far away from the ball?
@@chriszingler4548 Could very well be standing too far and swinging out to in on the downswing. Typically golfers that swing down at the ball too much and out to in are uncomfortable with forward ball location. When you swing up on the ball the club will actually work left, swinging down the club works right. Playing the driver forward can actually help you instinctively improve your change of direction. Hope that helps. Thanks for the comment👍🏼
swinging left is what I really feel when doing my practice swings! It’s when that little white ball comes into play screws everything up!!! Happy new year!
@@chriszingler4548 It sure does! Keep doing the practice swings. Try doing couple practice swings, then hit a ball, then repeating, also practicing with foam balls hitting into a net helps, same routine, couple practices, couple foam balls, then real balls, rinse repeat, Have fun 👍🏼Happy New Year 🎉
