    Sometimes I think I am tuning into this channel for hiking videos. But instead, I get visual poetry about family, love, belonging and time. This is really beautiful.

    As another hiking halfie (starting my AT thru hike in 27 days), I loved this. I was born in Japan and always wanted to go back to visit. I even had thoughts of moving there. I will be hiking in my mom's honor and carrying a small Japanese urn of her ashes with me for the entire hike. My mom left Japan and moved to USA. She was not like her Japanese friends that has also moved to USA in those years. She immediately learned to drive for example so she could give her friends rides. I was told it was because of her Samurai lineage. This legacy is now a part of me.
    I start my thru hike hearing my mom's words... ki o tsukete!
    The tunnel.. a life lesson.

    Elina, this is the most beautiful video you've ever made. Thank you for taking us along on such a personal journey, beautifully shot and edited as always. The absence of your Mum was felt in every shot and I'm really sorry for your loss. It's nice to see that her memory lives on through your family. Japanese people are just the cutest 🥲

    I agree with Aunty Mitsue, “…Don’t Dwell too much…”. By doing so we remove the heaviness. We remove the bondage that seeps into our lives that catches us unaware. We find freedom in our hearts and minds by doing so.

    • @Andy-Mesa
      @Andy-Mesa 8 місяців тому +2

      I would refrain from making unfounded claims if you don't have even the most basic understanding of how this process works.

    • @esgee3829
      @esgee3829 8 місяців тому

      1.) mitochondrial dna.
      2.) i don't know about the chinese, but if you don't check all those boxes on your 23andme (or whatever company you choose), they'll certainly use it to sell you other services (quite similar to what google ad services and amazon does charging you more for a product if they think you fit the demo or will pay more), collect more phenotypic info about you, and develop more drugs they will charge medicare $B for and you won't get jack from it.
      but yeah, you need to understand a bit about genetics, a bit about big pharma and how it works, and a bit about the american legal system to understand all of this. good luck!
