Thing is, if they continue to sell well on playstation, M$ is going to continue porting M$ games over to playstation, M$ could care a less about console wars, they don't care about loyalty of the fan base, they are all about the money, and giving their games to Playstation is win for them, and a win for Playstation fanbase, gamepass subscribers get to pay however much a month to rent the games, it's a win for everyone honestly when you look at it. The writing is on the wall, xbox released more games on Playstation then they did their own platform this year.

This will hurt ps5 the most as there is a % of players that only play fifa, madden, cod, and nba until they leave old gen behind they will have less incentive to upgrade from ps4. Personally I don't know how they can stand ps4 load times and I can only assume they will continue to get worse as time go on.
Ppl still on PS4 pockets must be hurting because the PS4 is obsolete. PS5 plays all PS4 games there is no point in keeping it.

Most ppl don't game every gen and very few ppl play on consoles that are old. Therefore, many of the ppl who bought PS4s aren't gaming at all or aren't planning to buy a next gen console. These companies need to appeal to new audiences. This is why Xbox fails every gem.

I also wanna add even though I prefer Sony I'm not happy with what's happened to Xbox. I've been wanting them to compete for a long time now. The 360 era was amazing. No one can take away from that. However the problem is they didn't carry that momentum. They just let it die. They literally let the Xbox die. I feel for Xbox fans. I was a Sega fan I went through this myself... It just wasn't so public because social media wasn't a thing back then. At least Sega went down fighting though. Honestly if Microsoft would've just bought Sega and let them keep being Sega I feel we'd have a much healthier gaming industry now but that's just a hypothetical and my opinion.
360 era was shytty also. They depended on 3rd party devs for any popularity. COD, GTA, and Gears. Also, the PS3 was a better console with way better tech and features. Sony sold over 200 million more games than Microsoft did that gen. Xbox never does well.

I bought a PS3 over a 360 that gen but my brother worked at GameStop at the time and got a good deal on a 360 so I'd just play his. All I knew about that gen was Sony fumbled hard at the start with that bs price tag and telling people to go get another job to buy it. That gave Xbox the foot in. Also gears was an exclusive be it 3rd party or not so it was definitely a selling point for the console. Idk why people wanna try so hard to downplay third party exclusives like their not exclusives too. If you can't access it anywhere else it's exclusive. That's the very definition of that word Idk why it's so hard for people to understand that. 😕

Msoft made trash hardware that gen and Sony actually won that generation by selling the most games. Msoft never does well in gaming. And there never was a toxic or prejudiced console gaming fanbase until inhumane Msoft snaked Sega and enterered the business.
@hiryosuketetsaiga you are highly wrong here. PS3 was a full generation ahead of the trash 360, tech wise. They sold it too fukn cheap. They should've sold it at $800 cause it was proven that it was actually worth $1000. It had actually chrome on it, card reader slots, wifi and hdmi when trash 360 didn't have it, Blu Ray and Super Audio CD player. Don't listen to the idiots that said PS3 was trash or too expensive.

I think obviously everything will be coming to ps5 because it's where they're gonna earn their money now. Predicted this several years ago. But to be fair, although they lie all the time, Xbox said certain games would stay multiplat that always have been...like Doom, Elder Scrolls, etc. I just assumed Doom would be on ps5. I'd be enraged if not, ive played Doom since the first one popped up on pc, at a friend's house, mastering it. Best thing ever. I'm a console guy my whole life and had a Genesis and 32X, so I bought it for that and beat it hardest difficulty without dying...one of the great gaming achievements of my life.

Well being as nearly half of PlayStation profits come from PS4 that’s a huge user base, same with Xbox one there must still be a few out there so they are essentially making COD cross gen and that’s so they have a bigger market place to make more money.
I think if the Xbox series consoles were competing they would still like to make COD cross gen but there would have been a big backlash, right now though with the way things are no one seems to care, it’s like cos Xbox has failed that in itself seems to supersede everything 🤷🏻♂️

It definitely would make since for there new release to be on PlayStation as well…. There will be Xbox games coming to PlayStation no doubt. But Xbox will keep there flagships games exclusives like the Halo’s, Gears, Forza’s definitely…And “some” new IP’s timed exclusive…that’s realistic…but all there’s games in future…nooo… as long as Xbox is still making a next generation console, you guys can get that thought out of your head.

I think it would be more shocking if it wasn't multiplatform. Same with elders scroll 6 and fallout 5. They are bigger ip's that will likely do well on all platforms. MS likes money
1.) Here soon we'll be seeing the same confirmed for Indiana Jones and Blade.
2.) There's no point in even holding onto the Xbox brand at this point. It's inseparable from failure. They gotta move on to Microsoft Studios to really get off the ground as a third party publisher. They have to quash the console connection to move forward. They can't do it like Sega did because the company isn't at death's door. The Xbox brand is but Microsoft as a whole is fine so they have to shut that door properly so they can move forward. Sega didn't have any option. Sega was the "mother company" not a subsidiary. Microsoft has to fold that subsidiary in and put Xbox to pasture smoothly. If they do it well enough they won't even have it bother with anymore hardware which as a software company they would LOVE! They really don't want to push anymore gaming hardware. People may argue this because of the surface launch but tbh that's as close to a new Xbox as you're gonna get if they can help it. They may push out one last console but if they can avoid it they will. I'm calling this here myself. I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the plug on any further dedicated gaming devices. It's gonna be gamepass marketed with their surface line which isn't dedicated gaming hardware but because of their bet on cloud streaming it'll be fine if their fans go buy a $1000 laptop and subscribe to gamepass. I think that's been their endgame since the start of this gen. Nobody is talking about Xbox at all but they're all over the new surface. That's where their focus is and that was the goal from the start.
I think black ops 6 is on last gen because Activision is now part of Microsoft, and they are trying to make their money back. They probably saw as "let's just include last gen cuz Microsoft is such a shitty company and can't sell consoles this gen, we going third party anyways so let's get the biggest piece of pie"......LMAO

Probably, but 50% of ps players is still larger than xbox's entire market share, so Microsoft will still make more money by including Playstation. I'm sure they've weighed that out before making the decision.
