The ones on my 86 were the welded version. We ended up drilling some holes and smacking the crap out of them. It's nice to see that the mutilation of the universal press tool is a necessary part of the process. Glad we got that right. Great video!

wow never even thought of using the back end of a supercharger as an intake

I don't know about running the supercharger housing as just an intake manifold? wont that effect spool up time and airflow? Fun times burning out the old rubber bushings. The front bearings are a trip, you tighten to like 12 ft pounds spin the hub then loosen the bolt and line up the castle nut. The fact that its not tight and is all that holds the wheels on is crazy but that's how they did for the last 80 years. Now is a good time to do a brake upgrade.

I believe a NA intake manifold will be better for lower end power but when it comes down to high rpm this could perform the same of better. I’m not sure how much it’ll affect spool, depending on the size of the turbo it should be fine. Lots of people run these as turbo manifolds.

@@JuryRigGarage i got my answer from this video ua-cam.com/video/xuNN2BLSK6M/v-deo.html . Intressting and changing my mind about the 3800 swaps, but I'm still leaning for an ecotec swap for mine.
