I got an old broom stick and a big sponge and cut it down and zip tied it to the stick and used it to get to the seals on top of slide it worked great.
I've owned 2 pop ups, 2 travel trailers. The only issue I ever had was a tree branch that went through the roof of my 2nd pop up. Thankfully I never had any issues with winter storing. I stored my travel trailers inside, and put moth balls underneath them where I parked. Great video, have a great day, and a great camping season.
@Berrypancakes229 I rented from a Storage place, they have a pole barn. I stored both of my travel trailers there. It wasn't a heated barn, but they were out of the elements. My 2 pop ups, I just put out in the yard.
@CampingCompanions I know people who had some minor issues over the years. I always sealed everything I could, and used moth balls around the outside, and underneath the camper. There were people who stored their campers at the same place, and have issues with mice. The only thing I had in the spring was usually soft tires, and an out of date registration.

That’s brilliant! We’re going to try that!
This will be our first season dewinterizing our new camper so this was helpful.
+@debradroesler Fantastic!! So happy to help! ❤️
This is the best time of year. I cleaned the inside. Just need to flush the sink
We still have to give it a good bath too! If only it would stop raining ☔️

Did you store your trailer under a rv port?
Ugh! We have more stories than that, unfortunately! 😂.

@@GregVlogson Our story is more of the “accidentally ripping the roof off” our old camper. No worries- insurance covered the $7000. Bill. 🙂
All really great tips. It's always good to be as ready for anything as possible. Great video! 😊😊
+@ThriftyAngela The more we plan for, the less chance we disrupt our plans! Thanks for watching Angela!
We just opened ours up last week and are starting to plan some trips! Can’t wait for a great camping season with the family! Hope you guys enjoy yours
+@Chizzly_briz Awesome! Will you be trying any new ones? Do you have Wellesley planned this year?
We use a leaf blower on our gutters.😂
We keep a small leaf blower in the camper for that too.
what kind of antifreeze is in the tanks? not poisions?
It’s non toxic environmentally friendly. It’s RV and Marine - look for the pink bottles.
What truck do you use to tow your trailer?
We tow with a Toyota Tundra and are super mindful of how much we put in the camper for weight.
If you fall off a ladder make sure there's someone there's to land on.😅
Especially someone squishy like me!
