You have auto dubbing in foreign language on your channel, evidently if a viewer is watching you on a dolly cellular network they won’t under stand, which means you lose viewers and potentially subscribers. Don’t feel bad, you’re not the only one. This is glorious youtube thinking that if this is promoted in other countries it’s good.
Love this video. It's great to see it with real people and how it stores everyday items that campers use! Also loved the bloopers! 😂😂😂
+@jenniferperkins4529 Thanks so much! We had fun filming it! We’re so glad it was useful.
Sad that "Champ" is gone..so much fun!!
@@RobertaRinger-g4x Poor Champ.
Only good trouble❤️😁
@@RobertaRinger-g4x Absolutely! This shorter version was somewhat easier to watch - do you think?
Not too far from me…..my daughter lives right down the road.
+@ADKMan Beautiful area!
What a great area. Rafting is so much fun! The driftwood dragon was very cool! 😊😊
+@ThriftyAngela It was a lot of fun. Someone took a lot of time to paint the driftwood!
I was there years ago and it seemed nice. I remember that the showers were gang showers, have they changed?
+@tomballard4794 We didn’t go in them, unfortunately. We use our camper to shower.
Awesome driftwood
+@alanwilliamson6421 Some took A lot of time to do that!
What a beautiful bus
+@alanwilliamson6421 And it was free - included in the price of admission!
I thought it was going to be single tubes lol
+@alanwilliamson6421 It was a good time!
I want to go rafting here
On the 15 Sierra. I have a lot of experience working on them. A few things on it to look out for. Number One: The cylinder deactivation system is garbage. It will fail and result in about a $4k bill to replace the failed lifters. Get a range AFM disabler (part number RA003B). It keeps the truck in v8 mode and solves this problem. Number Two: The torque converters on these 6 speed transmissions were not good. About all of them blow up and take out the transmission between 100k and 150k miles. PLEASE have your mechanic replace the torque converter as a maintenance item at 100k miles. I have seen it so many times I can't count it now and I know a lot of people at the chevy dealers and they have them constantly for this issue. Also the transmission from factory has a thermostat that ran the fluid too hot, especially when towing. Trans go and Wehrli custom fabrication both make kits to eliminate this thermostat. This is a must do along with the converter to prevent the trans from going(Which is about a $7k repair). Number three: The brake vacuum pump on these trucks fails all the time. It can result in a loss of assistance on your brakes, especially in reverse. If you put the truck in reverse and pump the brake pedal three times and the pedal gets hard, the pump is bad. This was covered under an extended warranty by gm to 10 years 150k miles so your truck may still be covered depending on when in 2014 or 2015 it was originally sold.
What probably happened to the Tahoe is the driver side valve cover. There is an updated part that solves the oil consumption issue. The factory valve cover had a poorly designed pcv system that would cause oil to enter the intake and be burned through the engine. Oil consumption can result in damage to a catalytic converter which will smell like sulphur. It also will also cause a loss in power which it sounds like you had. I have an 02 Tahoe with 300k miles on it and have towed a lot with it. More than the rating up some of the steeper mountains in Virginia. It doesn't struggle like what you were experiencing. I had around 10k Pounds behind it one time and could maintain 30 mph going up a very steep mountain at around half throttle. I have pulled 7500 pounds with it many times and never struggled to maintain 55-60 mph.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your knowledge. You sound incredibly knowledgeable and took a great deal of time to explain each vehicle. I hope someone else sees this and can benefit from your experience.
Adirondack mountains are awesome. Grandparents had a house in that neck of woods. Lake George Village can get kinda of crowded.
+@Guido-h1o The whole area was pretty crowded but we were there on a holiday weekend, so it was expected. We really enjoyed the area. We have several other videos of our time out there that we haven’t aired yet.
Thanks
+@rjtuhuh1 We appreciate that you take the time to watch and comment! Most people don’t.
Although my favorite winery is on Seneca. We love Keuka lake and think it’s more scenic. Brenda likes point of the bluff. I recommend going to Hammondsport and staying at The Park Inn for a non camping season getaway. We’ve done it twice now and love it
+@bdwny We went to point of the bluff too and ate dinner at the Switz. Probably on a different trip since we didn’t mention it in the video. We are going to Penn Yan next month! Thanks for watching!
Woo Hoo! Glad to have you in the neighborhood!
+@drlong08 ❤️
I live Close to here. I have camped here NEVER again. GOOSE POOP all over. When i drive by there always geese. Not sure when you went there ..Always geese. Will send pics. When the lake is open.
+@rjtuhuh1 Early arrivers in our group mentioned chasing away the geese and the poop. It was definitely a trip that we didn’t walk barefoot. We were there Labor Day weekend.
Nice thanks for the honest reviews !
+@rjtuhuh1 Thank YOU for watching.
Great information ! Thank You.
+@rjtuhuh1 Our pleasure! This is one of our older, cringy videos. Thanks for watching anyway!
The trip we met on,was a cool place!

@@kathyrandall3479 We love the stuffed sausage as well! So good!
My favorite place to camp. Went there when I was a kid. Now me and my wife go every year with my father normally in June. Absolutely love this place.
+@cirish41 It is gorgeous! I can see why you keep going back.
@ you guys should check out Kring point state park. It’s outside Alex bay about maybe 10 miles down the road. It’s another beautiful place in the area.
One of our favorite campgrounds!
+@chrisstymus1980 Do you also camp at Triple R? They have similar amenities.
@ yep!
You should go to Glendora falls or go to the drop off that's in Bristol also
+@navyton1 We’ll put it on the list. We thought we had been, but that turned out to Montour Falls.
That’s a funny Coincidence…. That 5er, behind you guys there. (Ones that forgot about water, like I did when I was there😂). They’re actually camping Pals, we go on a few annual trips a year with them. In any case, I stayed there opening weekend, Acorn loop # 43. Much better experience. Trees-Shade-Room-backs onto a tree line - walking distance to showers / bathrooms. Solid description of that area though, I walked up there.
+@jerrodj4963 that’s a awesome coincidence! They’re immortalized in UA-cam history now! Thank you so much for watching and we completely agree that Acorn loop is WAY better!! Happy camping!
With all the open sites in the campground, why didn’t you just go back and switch to another site rather than whine about the site thru the whole video.
+@waynesiminski8268 Did you catch the part where I said we were with friends? Also that we had a slide out malfunction? We were there 2 nights, why do you think we should tear down and re set up on the opposite side of the park away from our friends?
The only thing that ruins these parks is they are in new york.
+@dcongdon2294 NY is a beautiful state!
I didn’t find it dishonest. They said it was the worst site, not worst campground, and that was accurate. We would have probably have made the same mistake there since we like to camp to get away from people.
+@crystalplus2 Thank you!
You would think that junk would be fenced in.
+@shannonfisher6415 That’s what I said!
Great review. Looks like a place I’d like to visit.
+@jerrodj4963 Thanks. It is a nice place.
You should come up and visit us in the fall for the Worlds Largest Garage Sale. Thanks for spending time in this little patch of the world that we call home. We live in Warrensburg and when we bought out first 5th wheel we decided that our first outing would be there. My statement was that we do not know what we do not know and we would be less than a mile from home if we needed something. When we made our reservations the lady told us of all the things there were to do in the area and how friendly the people were. When she asked where we lived and we said Warrensburg we got THE LOOK.
+@erfrulla Haha! She was probably wondering why she didn’t ask where you were from first so she didn’t have to tell you what to do in the area! 😂
Top notch campground! Not to be critical, but your title to the video is a little off-putting for such a great campground! If I was skimming through and saw the title of the campground with that title, it may steer me away from booking there. You had an unfortunate spot in a great campground. I hope people watch the full video of such a great campground 🔥
+@MsJeni2000 I totally get what you are saying. Unfortunately, we have to put up a thumbnail that sparks some sort of reaction to get views. That’s why we started our video saying it is a great campground. Thank you for watching anyway!
@@CampingCompanions I get that…. It’s actually why I noticed it in the 1st place. Me, I’m the reason “hook-type” thumbnails work!😆
@@CampingCompanions I understand. Thanks for acknowledging.
@@CampingCompanionsif I didn’t watch the video I would’ve then thought this campground would’ve been awful. So I still feel the title is a little dishonest. I do however enjoy your videos because I’m in the same general area you live in and do love to see your reviews of parks you go to.
+@shannonfisher6415 Thanks for watching! Hook type thumbnails have never been our thing and we’ve had a couple channels surpass us because they do. It’s a fine line for sure.
Great honest review of one of our very favorite campgrounds! Yes, you definitely got the worst site at the campground. A few summers ago we did the inner tubing down the river and it was so much fun! Lots of laughs were had! The hike down to the river is on the longer side but it's very peaceful with nature all around you. We've been there for the balloon rally and it's a perfect site to see the balloons go over top of the campground depending on what the wind is doing. In that big open space where the baseball diamond is, one of the balloon owners land there for a tethered ride, for a fee, in the evening. They camp at the campground. We didn't go up but it looks like people that did go up really enjoyed it. We are happy that there are roads at the campground that we can take our scooters out on. We're greatly impressed with how big most of the sites are. Out in back there our areas where you can camp with a group in kind of a circle. It's away from everyone else so you're not intruding on single campers. I love how clean they keep everything, emptying the garbage cans on a regular basis and just patrolling the whole area constantly.
Oh, and we loved camping with you guys! It was a lot of fun!
Happy New Year, that stinks about the slide out. It still looks like a pretty nice park. Stay warm, and have a great year, looking forward to camping as always.
+@Grebig Happy New Year! We have a lot booked already for next year including several further away. Glimmerglass SP, Jacques Cartier SP, Nick’s Lake, Fillmore Glen… Hope to see you out there sometime.
@@CampingCompanions been to Glimmerglass, it's a really nice park. They have the first, (or oldest) covered bridge in NY on their property. The sites are good size, and it is very peaceful. the sites are pretty level, but if I remember right you set up on a rock foundation (not dirt, grass, or blacktop). Nick's Lake is really nice as the well, just keep your food inside ( they do have bears, they're friendly, and won't bother you). I only have 2 booked for the upcoming season, but need to book more.
+@Grebig Thanks for the tip about the bridge. We’ll be sure to mention that when we create the video. Get booking!
@@CampingCompanions I sent you 2 video links from Glimmerglass from 2013.
Perfect timing for this video! We are planning to go there this summer. My daughter went last year and stayed in a cabin, her kids loved it. We will be booking an rv site (not 90) and she is booking a cabin again. We had trouble with our slide out once where it would come back in. Luckily, we were in a friend’s driveway on our way home from Maine so we had access to more tools than we would normally.
+@amykehoe2078 That’s awesome! Glad we warned someone away. 😂. Hope you have an amazing time. It really is a nice place.
A great park to camp, clean bathrooms & one tough hill to bike up. I've been going there since it was 8 dollars a night for residents LOL I'm glad to see it's coming back to the great upkeep it had in the early days when I had my truck camper. Erie County's best kept secret.
+@kennethnovak9102 It is really nice and lots of neat things nearby to see. We haven’t aired the video yet, but we have another In queue for Eternal Flame and the Blueberry Treehouse Farm that we visited from the Campground. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy New Year!
Firstly a belated Merry Christmas from me and my family to you and your family ❤ And I hope you and Kevin have a wonderful and truly blessed New Year and I apologize for not sending you a Christmas card this year but we have been discombobulated since Helene tore through here😐 but in the grand scheme of things we were really blessed looking at what other folks lost😢 what I’m trying to say Mrs Amy and Mr Kevin i still watch you guys and we love Ya❤ and Kevin reminds me of myself when that handle broke OH SHIT😂😂 This is the first construction company/campground all in one I’ve ever seen 😮 but I don’t think I would mind it with all the amenities and they have fishing poles so I’m in!! 😂😂😂 God bless you my friend 🙏❤️😀❤️🙏
+@jaybyrdsshenanigans Hi Jay! When Kevin started reading me your comment, I said oh! We haven’t heard from him in Forever! I’m sorry I didn’t know that you were affected by the hurricane. So sorry to hear it! Happy New Year to Wendy and big hugs to Dozer as well. Looking forward to what 2025 will bring!
@ Thank you guys so much and I really am sorry I haven’t been in touch with you guys lately!! But yeah we still have a huge debris pile of trees and limbs in our front yard and the county is doing all it can do and we have a temporary cable that is four houses down for temporary internet lol thank goodness I bought the whole house generator rather than my fishing boat 🤣🤣 we were out of grid power for 16 days and internet for 22 days. But we did not lose our house and only lost one chicken when the neighbors giant oak fell on the fence and our chicken houses. But like I said we were blessed compared to the poor folks in North Carolina God bless them!
+@jaybyrdsshenanigans My goodness! Way to look at the bright side.
Thank you for all the work you do - we appreciate it because we are new and not sure where we will fit our 40’ fifth wheel. A lot of places say you’ll fit but reality is often a different story. It may fit, but not always room to maneuver our size into the space - you have to have both or it wont really work 😉. Love your honest reviews with the walk arounds - so helpful! Happy New Year! 🎉
+@Luvrdoxie It’s our pleasure when we hear that it helps someone- otherwise, what’s the point?! Happy New Year! Thanks for taking the time to comment. It’s what keeps us going.
Happy New years love your channel safe travels ✌️
+@frankmnowickl9010 Happy New Year, Frank. Safe travels to you as well! 🥳🍾
Costly but very nice place. You can go down back to fish and it's a great place for the trout derby in april!
+@bethdurbin3203 There seems to be many cool events in the area. Other comments have mentioned a Regatta, and a balloon festival!
I used to work there years ago. I live about a mile from those railroad tracks you went on.
+@rutniktrainer So how often do you get stopped in your car for the bikes to go through? 😂 You live in a gorgeous area. We loved our trip to the Adirondacks. We still have several videos of our time there that haven’t been aired yet because our community doesn’t respond as well to anything that isn’t a campground. 🤷♀️ Happy New Year!
Maybe not for Kevin but my favorite activity to do in the thousand islands is to park at the welcome center and walk up to the top of the bridge. Beautiful view on a nice day, watch the ships and boats go by underneath you. Don’t miss it next time.
@@deannewton9762 We did go to the base of the bridge and watched the ships pass underneath. Does that count? 😂
@ absolutely NOT!
That boat launch near your loop used to be for power boats and they had docks and slips to keep your boats, but they did away with that several years ago and now it’s really just for kayaks and canoes.
+@deannewton9762 Hope you join us for one this coming year!
That boat launch near your loop used to be for power boats and they had docks and slips to keep your boats, but they did away with that several years ago and now it’s really just for kayaks and canoes.
Thats a great price.
+@RVAmerica One of the cheapest!
I live in the area and I think $105 a night for a campsite is a rip off. Many things in this area are over priced.
+@SlikMc Agreed! But to be fair, we were there over a holiday weekend.
@ I hope you had a good time, it’s still a beautiful area.
@ We did! We did the Hadley rail trail tour, Whiteface Mt. Natural Stone bridges and caves, Lake Placid, High Falls Gorge, Cohees Falls and Saratoga Springs ! We packed it all in. Hope your Holidays are amazing!
You sound like a pretty high maintenance wife. Let your husband do his thing, our you get in the truck and show us how good you ate at backing up a trailer. But as the video continues I'm realizing your both kinda snobby. I love when people from out of state and just constantly complain. There's plenty of shady spots but I'd say you don't have the patience to actually look through 900 acres. Boy maybe they should move that lighthouse back away from the road for you guys next trip. Traffic is slow because your in Amish County. Part if the history of the area. It just sounds like you don't enjoy our area, bashing it the way you do. I'd maybe start a different channel. One called everywhere you go sucks. Because y'all live complaining😃😄
@@tfranke6011 I’m sorry if you are having a bad day and need someone to take it out on. Also, we live In NY, so your out of State comment is incorrect. We weren’t complaining, we were explaining what others would expect while visiting the area. If you actually watched the video, we mention there are shady sites and better options than what we chose. As for backing up, he IS allowed to do his thing, as I was once a tow truck driver for my family business. Try to have a better day and Happy Holidays! 🤣
