@@xan7292 The damage also is Holy based, so slap on a Scorpion Charm and watch those numbers shoot up!
Invading Belurat makes this so much funnier because theyre probably just starting the DLC and heres this invader that just stabbed their summon in the skull then insta killed them
Not to mention with all the vertical space in the game you just drop down to literally spike their ass head to toe

Best part of the ash of war is the built in Giant Dad emote afterward.
What i love most about its ash is how well it catches players that just spam L2 in your face.

After further testing:
- Dagger Talisman DOES work
- Assassin's Crimson Dagger DOES NOT work (same for Cerulean)
- Blade of Mercy DOES NOT work
Seems like the dmg is calculated based on crit dmg, but the move itself isn't considered a crit.

@@destroyer-yf3lb i'm honestly thinking i will do that too tbh. I just got to him last night but the fight is so incredibly underwhelming imo. It's probably partially because i got it spoiled by an invader literally 3 or 4 days into the dlc so i already knew who it would be. Was definitely not as epic after knowing that, but still a returning boss as a final boss is just absolutely stupid imo. This is the only boss throughout the entire base game and dlc that i just genuinely wanna kill and be done with. Malenia, rellana, and messmer were all bosses that took me multiple hours to beat, but i didn't care because they were actually really fun (yes malenia is incredibly fun to me). Dlc final boss is just not.

The daggers of night are a perfect follow up weapon for this from my experience, the shotgun ash of war almost always finishes off people running away

I'm gonna give a tip to deal with this weapon in some situations. Elevators or any other moving platform. Grabs doesn't work on them.

The weapon is currently broken, nevermind that it oneshots a tank with 80 vigor, the bug is that it ignores s and shields nearly fully.
The tracking ability is absolutely horrendous.
It's almost like a heat seeking missile.
I only know one button - L2

Half of those players would not pass vigor check so its really not surprsing they got nuked
they need to rework the netcode man this guys are not even close when you land, its like a vacuum that weird
Its not the netcodes fault.
The reason this happens is because the Weapon Art only runs a Client sided check on the Weapon Art users Client, so aslong as you hit a player on your end, it will connect.
Its especially funny because this is the same Mistake they made with DS2 Backstabs

I think you inspired quite a few people, I was invaded like 8 times using this exact weapon today alone, they really wanted to get that WA off but little do they know even if they did I pass the vigor check

How do you get backstabs I go to try in pvp but it never works
seems like it can grab through rolls, likely due to latency in the same way statuses like poison/bleed/frost etc can build up and (semi) proc through i-frames. the initial downward plunge seems to deal damage to those who dont roll it but doesnt do damage to those who do dodge it - however they still get grabbed anyways. yikes xD
