- These Eyes
"These Eyes" es una cancion de 1968 de el grupo de rock canadiense Guess Who. La cancion fue co-escrita por el guitarrista lider del grupo, Randy Bachman y el cantante lider del grupo, cone el titulo original de "These Arms." Cummings changed the title to "These Eyes"
These eyes cry every night for you
These arms long to hold you again
The hurtin's on me, yeah
And I will never be free, no, my baby, no no
You gave a promise to me, yeah
An' you broke it, an' you broke it, oh no
These eyes watched you bring my world to an end
This heart could not accept and pretend
The hurtin's on me, yeah
And I will never be free, no, no, no
You took the vow with me, yeah
An' you spoke it, an' you spoke it, babe
These eyes are cryin'
These eyes have seen a lot of loves
But they're never gonna see another one like I had with you
These eyes are cryin'
These eyes have seen a lot of loves
But they're never gonna see another one like I had with you
These eyes are cryin'
These eyes have seen a lot of loves
But they're never gonna see another one like I had with you
These eyes cry every night for you
These arms, these arms long to hold you, hold you again
These eyes are cryin'
These eyes have seen a lot of loves
But their never gonna see another one like I had with you
These eyes are cryin'
These eyes have seen a lot of loves
But their never gonna see another one like I had with you
These eyes are cryin'
These eyes have seen a lot of loves
But their never gonna see another one like I had with you
These eyes are cryin'
These eyes have seen a lot of loves
But their never gonna see another one like I had with you
Baby, baby, baby, baby
Don't ya know these eyes are cryin' every night
I need you back in my heart

I was 5 years old in 1969, walking home from school in the wet snow, as I couldn't find my parents when the bell rang. I was about 4 blocks into a 12 block walk, when I heard my mom frantically yelling my name. I remember crawling into the backseat of the car, and feeling the warmth from the heater, and this was on the local am radio station. For whatever reason, every time I hear this song, my mind automatically goes back to that exact, miniscule moment of my life....
👏👏👏👏👏memoria auditiva
Even after all these years Burton Cummings and the Guess Who's songs still affect me. 1970 was a special year for pop music because of wonderful music by groups like this.
He had probably one the greatest male voices in rock music of all time- to this day. In those days, the music coming out helped define the era- and affected all of of us. As you see today through venues like You Tube. No surprise when we hear them again.
Music like this stood the test of time,60's 70's and 80's music will overpower todays garbage of music anyday!
Oh yes! Takes me back to my high school days, memories ❤
Possibly the best sounds ever recorded...
i was born in 1988, but regardless of my age i still think Burton Cummings was and always will be the most badass voice in all of rock n' roll. Everytime i sing this song in the car i wish with my whole being i could sound like he does. I love you Burton you will never be forgotten.
A sad song but still makes you think about past loves.....that is a part of life that we have to go through to find our true destiny!!!!!!The guess who is one of my favorite bands and they have came through time sounding as fresh as when they started out!!!!!!!Thumbs UP for posting this :-)
It is so good to see the two greats, Cummings and Bachman back together and doing what they were meant to do, more music....
It is appreciated that despite the years that have passed, Mr. Cummings can still sing this song in the original key without faking it. Well done; one of the very few reunion performances I've seen that concentrates on musical factors instead of just having a quick cash-in.
Guess who is one of the greatest still after 50 yrs of listening to them!!!!
Absolutly one of the best bands to come out of Canada and pave the way for other bands.
que gusto encontrar a otra persona de habla hispana gustar de esta buena musica de buenos tiempos.
Burton Cummings is one of the best Rock vocalists of all time ... he's so underated. He has such great soul in his talent.
How can you not love this talent! Canadian born and such an iconic band that will live forever. Never will an individual tire of such exceptional music.
If you think about it in a wider scope, our eyes really see a lot in our lifetime. Loves gained, loves lost, good times, bad times, beauty all around us and nature, births and deaths etc. Eyes are indeed our window to the world. Love this song
Nicely said 😎🎸
Great band!!!!!!!!! Watched them in Saratoga Springs- NY- about 8 years ago. Worth it!!!
Burton Cummings still has a powerful voice, and it's fantastic to hear the music of Cummings and Bachman again.

THESE eyes want to see (and ears want to hear) these guys in concert again if they're still touring!
The Best Thing Canada ever produced!
Don't be so sure about that bud. Canada produced the tops in 3 different genres. Glenn Gould, Oscar Peterson and Joni Mitchell.
Siglaviking nickelback and justin are fucking garbage ahahaha are you even serious ?
Other good ones from Canada - Paul Anka, Bryan Adams, Celine Dion and Anne Murray from Nova Scotia, Bruce Cockburn and Gordon Lightfoot from Ontario. I heard their songs so often on the radio, during the cold winters in Nova Scotia - great times, eh! Burton Cummings is very good of course. His other songs were also very popular. Still love it !
freddy burch Neil young hands down
@Justin Ford HOCKEY!
Ah man...nothing beats songs like "These Eyes", "Crystal Blue Persuasion" or even "suavecito" by Malo! Oh how I miss the days!
+Tana Corporon I'm seriously AMAZED that I run into someone else who loves the song SUAVECITO, let alone anyone who's ever heard of MALO. You've made my day! Thanx for the flashback!
+Chris Ralko - well heck, if you're the one who put this video up, it's made MY day!!! Thank you for reaching out :) If you're on Facebook, please connect :)
Oh, not to mention, I grew up in East LA and was part of the Chicano "thing" back then ;) LOL!! Love my Latino's!
could not agree with you more - I love the same songs
KiKi T Right on!!! The Millennials (with all due respect and love) don't know what they're missing, lol! I made sure to raise my kids on the "good stuff" and I've embraced a lot of the new stuff, too. I love all kinds of music!
Who doesn't want to go back in the day? Syracuse in the late 60s and early 70s, WOLF and the rest of radio. A great time to be a kid.
Again...Another song from the summer days 40+ years ago as my friends and I rode our bikes to the park to play baseball and enjoy our youth. Had an old transittor radio we listened to which gave us this and other great great sounds of that time. We were oblivious to all the world's problems.......
One among the Greatest Bands the world will ever see.
That is so fabulous! Used to sing this song over and over when I was little...
HERMOSO TEMA.. NO PARO DE REPETIRLO
My very first concert I every remember seeing was the Guess Who at JMU with my parents as a child. I have an autograph from Burton Cumings that is worth more to me than some others. My parents are devotees and am I am fan myself. They were once called the canadian Beattles. Amazing! Enough said!

Great! This is a hard song to sing, but Burton always puts his heart and soul into it. That band was so great (this live one), such a major thrill to see them. Put these guys in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame already!
I saw these guys in the summer of 2001 in Kelowna, then a few months later in my home town of Seattle. It was two of the best concerts I've been to.
i was at the concert when they came home to winnipeg during the thunderstorm hands down amazing..
it was cool how my dad played with them back in their glenwood days.. like gr 9 10 so sweet
Recorded in their home town Winnipeg on their "Running BacK Through Canada" tour. Was there - truly magical!!
To sign a petition to have these guys entered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, google "Guess Who petition", (don't use the quotation marks.
