watching these high for the first time high, im noticing just how perfect the chemistry between the them legendary only radio worth listening to first listen was 2012ish
Karl always got slagged off for never understanding idioms, metaphors and phrases etc, yet, Ricky and Steve don’t get “you’re a shoe in” and later on Steve never got “there’s an elephant in the room”
I just realized this episode answered a very important question: The reason why Karl never writes anything down (like the clues for Rockbusters) isn't because "he doesn't want Ricky to see the answers" but because he has a hard time reading EVEN HIS OWN HANDWRITING and got embarrassed when called out on it by Ricky and Steve. Notice this was the only time he ever did this. The only other time he ever tried reading something was a flier for K Fest and he couldn't even pronounce "Behemoth" and instead said "Bethlehem".
@@RN-ez1iiI think you’re reading too much into it. He probably just scribbled questions down quickly and in the case of amethyst or behemoth probably didn’t know the words in the first place. I think it’s him thinking he doesn’t need to write things down and then eventually realizing it’s funnier when he doesn’t.
Had they already written the episode of the Office with the quiz night before this aired? Because Ricky and Steve behave exactly like Brent and Finchy 😂
Karl’s incompetence in this episode is quite shocking. They have a go at him a lot and I usually think ‘oh he’s not that bad’ but he’s really quite incompetent here.
It always bothered me that Seve complains about Ricky not writing down the answer, when 5 minutes ago he did the exact same thing. And Karl asking the other two questions before realizing he couldn't read his own writing...what frustrating radio for the lisener haha
