A black bear will still kill you without hesitation. I’ve seen massive male black bears in the 700 pound range and they don’t look at you the way the smaller ones do, they look at you like you’re prey. Totally different ballgame when you come across a large male full of testosterone and pissed off. Same with a momma black bear with cubs, she’ll gut you.
Bears was built to hunt other pray i mean just look how big their muscles and how big their teeth are! Never cared till my first time seeing one in the woods in Jacksonville Florida a black bear He/She bear looked mean as fck like it wanted to kill what ever it wanted!
The black bear is actually the most dangerous, after the polar bear…. Most likely to stalk, attack and eat you (predatory black bears). That is not saying that the grizzly will not attack and if you are unlucky enough to surprise a grizzly bear with cubs you are probably a goner, slashed and ripped to pieces. Seeing a grizzly in the wild is actually a great privilege….hopefully not a mom with cubs.
Also Black bears only really show stalking behavior when they are starving, the average black bear any of us would meet does not give a fuck about you and odds are it’s just swinging on by to see if you have any extra goodies for them to pack on the pounds for winter when natural things get hard to find.

Man I've seen alot!! I lived in Alaska and now Montana and I've seen small to "im frikn going to drop to the ground" lol!! Seen a Grizzly with her 3 cubs in the "Northwest Territories" and it did not want us around and we we're driving lol. Need to get outta Cali Joe
What is his deal with bears? Lol a natural creature. It'd really get my attention if he talked about cryptid creatures. Dogmen, the wendigo, skin walkers etc etc.
U hear about the Black Bear outside Prescott az that for no reason why attacked & viciously mauled a man & killed him ? The neighbor shot him. it happened a few days ago
May Steven rest in peace. He was good man. It was odd for a black bear. The black bear stalked and got him from behind while he was building his shed on his property out in the Groom Creek Area. I think their saying he didnt even know the bear was stalking him. It had to be a predatory attack. The bear dragged him about 100 ft while sadly mauling and consuming him until the neighbor came down and shot the bear dead. The autopsy also on the bear was normal. No rabies or anything that is known that cause the bear to attack unprovoked.
I once met a grizzly bear in the woods and it attacked me and tore my leg up. I managed to run in the river only to face another grizzly that soon attacked me and broke my shoulders and arms. The other grizzly bit my back and neck while I was crawling trying to dive underwater. I managed to get to the water and dove in but the grizzly swung at me and had me flying in the air back on the rocks. As soon as I landed I got to a fetal position and blocked the bite to my neck but my hand got torn up. Soon after the other bear pulled me in the bushes and we all drank beer and called it a day.
