These guys not only play the 1950's, they honor them so respectfully. It's refreshing to see modern musicians pay hommage to their past instead of ridiculing it. GO, CATS!!!
The greatest singer Brian up there with the great king of rock n roll the unforgettable Elvis. The greatest legends in their own rights. Rock n roll lives on forever.
Every Stray Cats cover is always better than the original. One, you have the best guitarist and vocalist, then you have the best stand-up bass player in Lee Rocker, then Slim Jim's drums are fantastic and unique. The most underrated band ever.
Yes! I've always said Stray Cats are probably the only band who can cover another song and make it better than the original. There will never be a other Brian Setzer. Lee Rocker is also my fav bassist and Slim Jim is really good too! Brian Setzer's guitar skills are out of this world and his vocals are amazing as well!
YOU LIKE THIS TUNE MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL ElVIS VERSION. THat is saying something. I didn't realize until recently that the Stray Cats did this one,But It is not surprising since I have their covers of songs from the 50's and 60's An they did them all very well. It is a nod to the greatness of the songs from those two decades.
I do this song at Karaoke because I have been told I do a very good Elvis? I love the change up vocals Brian does at the end and when I do them when I perform at Karaoke it has always been very well received! The Cats do Many great renditions of older songs! Should really check them out!
shocking to say but I think I may prefer this to the original, and that's not just because I'm a major Stray Cats fan. It sounds so much sweeter with the slide guitar and don't get me started with that bluesy key change of Brian's voice.... wow!x
As a singer myself I actually liked Marty Robbins a lot better than Elvis I'm not saying I didn't like a lot of Elvis's songs no he had a lot of good stuff very good quality a lot of good songs I mean a lot of credit is due, but I just feel like Marty Robbins was the ultimate the all-time best singer of all Elvis had nothing on Marty
I am an avid fan of the Stray Cats....but this doesn't sound like them to me and I haven't heard of this rendition until now. Maybe somebody who's got a better knowledge enlighten me?

Stray cats the legends in their own rights. Brian and Elvis sing this to thier own fantastic voices. Both legends. ❤ u still in 2023 a d beyond.

This is my favourite version of this song. I like the country feel of it and Setzers silky voice. Brilliant.

I've only seldom heard someone sing with such passion and devotion and respect for the song.
Four decades ago The Stray Cats would not stand in the way of soft rock fans. Good music never dies!
What a bad ass version! His voice is awesome! Always has been!
This is beautiful!! Love Brian Setzer!! 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
Yo me lo garche
Magnifico! Magico! Gracias superior a la orginal✨✨✨✨👌🇦🇷
Only one word. INCREDIBLE
Beautiful rendition.
Just amazing.. especially the part between 2.31 and 2.58
Ugh I could pray to his voice its so good
I have never been an EP fan and I don't think he is the best singer but no one can sing this song as good as he did.
I'm melting
Wow his voice sounds amazing. Very soulful ❤

..una suave caricia para mis oídos....sublime !!!
Love this version so much
Right up there with the Elvis version.
I think this version is better by miles... Raw emotion... Much more believeable...
Wow, amazing, especially when his voice was deeper.

Thank you!
Nice assessment. :-)
There wasn't a key change.
Sarah Dee before I clicked on this I knew I'd find you in the comments lmao
Love the Stray Cats but there is no way that this is better than the original!
I was not really a fan of the original but damn diggity doo!
I love this!
Real nice version
Gets me every time
Oh that key change, yesss. Jesus wept. Brian f-cking Setzer!
Increíble
Qué gran versión!!!!! Me gustó mas que la original
Amazing !!
It can be argued that every cover that the Stray Cats/Brian Setzer have done is better than the original.
That's for sure x
This is the greatest comment ever. So Accurate.
rockabillylaker as usual. Every cover he does he converts it to the perfect version!!!! And better than the original!!!!
But Johnny Cash is the master of this art!
Once Johnny covers your song, you know it's not yours anymore!!

EXCELENTE¡¡¡
IMITATION IS THE SINCEREST FORM,,,,
Damn Brian has such an amazing register
I love the stray cats. This is a masterpiece, but vocals better than Elvis … no way.

Ritchie Molesso One of my most favorite songs of all time...So happy to find he does it.
Great tune always loved this one very much.
So is brian❤❤
I like his jacket
this song BELONGS TO ELVIS but Brian is doing it justice.wish this was a live clip.
Sometimes I wish I was a man so my voice would be that deep and beautiful.
❤❤❤
I love me some Brian Setzer
LI born rocker outdoes the king on this one
Vert well done
Después del Rey, ésta versión es la mas bella.
Swoon.
I agree wholeheartedly. Check Arlo Guthry's version for another wonderful version!

Vive le rochavilly salut les stray cats
Does anyone know who was playing the pedal steel guitar on this track?
with heart track
Elvis was and is the KING...very good version, but not a patch IMO on ELVIS
Elvis couldn't play a Gretsch like Setzer, and sing at the same time, the king of Rockabilly.
As a singer myself I actually liked Marty Robbins a lot better than Elvis I'm not saying I didn't like a lot of Elvis's songs no he had a lot of good stuff very good quality a lot of good songs I mean a lot of credit is due, but I just feel like Marty Robbins was the ultimate the all-time best singer of all Elvis had nothing on Marty
is he in the rock n roll hall of fame?
i know the stray cats arnt but is he specifically?
Kalkas53 The Stray Cats should be.
Dolly Parton finally made it in this year.
That sounds so like the original. Just saying
Who is on the vocal?
Brian Setzer
Brian is Great But onley The King is The Best On This Song ELVIS Sings This Song so so Pretty
エルヴィスもいいけど、コッチの方が好き
PLease excuse my spelling of ArloGuthrie's name.
I can not stay falling in love
よく考えたらサムピック使っていますね
this is much better than Elvis's orginal
すごく古い歌ですね(^^)d

Edgardo Bier There are multiple live versions add well. The higher vocalist is Gary Setzer. This is legit.
From the CD Original Cool
