Both of you are correct. Sadly, the hall of Fame has become a joke and irrelevant. Search for Steve Miller explaining how they suck. It's all political.
Leave it to Brian to put even more rhythm to this classic. Setzer is American Rockabilly gold - I am so glad this genius decided to take this route with his career.
I still believe Brian Setzer i one o the best guitarist around.Even when he was with stray cats, and real young.he was really good.He just doesn,t get enough credit or ranked with the best whenever theres a conversation on a tv show about it.They always mention Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck, which is fine, but don,t forget this guy.
How many ways can I twiddle passing tones while playing 3 chords using 4/4/ rhythm. You can see his brain searching for every trick he has compiled over the years
It wasn't perfect, but it was just a spur of the moment jam on a rockabilly standard. Maybe not the best performance I've ever from him, but give him an afternoon to arrange it and work it out with his band, and this would be mind blowing. Brian Setzer is a goddamn beast.
Whoever thumbed this down watch out - look at my baby’s amazing talent. All done whilst looking like the most beautiful being on earth. Someone clearly doesn’t appreciate genius.
Elvis never could have done that without Scotty Moore. And people wouldn't know it as an Elvis song if Sun Records didn't take it from a black artist on their label and give it to Elvis. Elvis was great and all, but way too much smoke gets blown up his ass. Brian Setzer is a beast!
@@Southernguitar74 I don't think anyone said anything disrespectful towards Elvis. Just the fact that we're all still talking about him in 2021 proves how important he was. My point was that Scotty Moore often gets forgotten about, and he was just as responsible for the rockabilly sound as Elvis, maybe even more so, and helped make Elvis great. Setzer clearly didn't have the pop culture impact of Elvis, but he does manage to combine the best of aspects of Scotty Moore and Elvis. But you're right, if there was no Elvis, we likely never would have even heard of Brian Setzer. They're both icons in their own right. TCB.
My quiff was bigger than that . I had a green tweed suit with a red top and red buckled brothel creepers. I played guitar really well too ,perhaps ,not quite at this level ,though. 😁
Elvis could only dream of being half the singer & player as Brian ... Elvis, most over rated guy in music, could barely play, wrote nothing ... enough said
Bloody hell....I wanted to say something really positive but I can't think of anything good enough to say, incredibly amazing will have to do and thank you.
Brian Setzer and I both own Gretsch guitars. That's where the similarities end...
LOL
Yup me too...it looks at me in shame!
Lol,me to
I've got blonde hair as well as a Gretch.
😂 me too....😫😫😫😫
Brian Setzer. He is a great guitarist, one of my favorites...
I love his technique and sense of rhythm...
One of the best guitar player ever !
Very impressive yeahhhh
Does not get the recognition he deserves.
True
most underrated as well!
Saw the Stray Cats in the mid 80's. Fantastic show. A Chet Atkins disciple and he can really play.
Voice, tone, playing... Amazing!
Why is this Musician and Rock and Roller not in the Hall of Fame???? Brian you are the Best!!!!
He and Lindsey Buckingham are 2 of the best guitarists to ever come to prominence, but don't get the recognition they deserve.

@@tompaul2591 You are correct!!! Look at the Movie "ELVIS". Not one award in the United States.
Because the rock hall is a joke
Wow I would have assumed he was in. Yet you look at some of the acts that are in and shouldn't be...
What a cool cat,just stunning

Such an underrated master of course with the guitar but often overlooked in the vocal dept

Another instrumentalist (Joe Satriani, etc.) dies a slow death...
As underrated as Hendrix.

He's got to one of THE BEST Guitar Players in The World eh ?
Just can't get enough of this.
Incredible!
One hell of a guitar player!! Him and Roy Clark would have been awesome together!
Yeah i would’ve like to see those two play together
Whoever thumbed this down watch out - look at my baby’s amazing talent. All done whilst looking like the most beautiful being on earth. Someone clearly doesn’t appreciate genius.
Probably 'Elvis' fans who will die thinking there was nobody better than the 'King' who could never play a guitar like Brian!
Nevermind, they probably like rap. Some of us truly appreciate his amazing talent... And yes, good looks as well. 😁

I like Brian a lot, but let's leave Elvis alone to RIP. The man did more than most folks could do in 10 lifetimes. He was pretty good. Thanks

I like 👍 this song 🎵, I don't know why but I just...do thanks ❤👍.
The guitar playing is obviously great but his voice is amazing too
All that and could yodel too!!!
I'm NOT worthy!!
a Jazz man playing Blues and Rock ‘n Roll
Just watching this one video made me a better guitarist.
Ce type est fabuleux ! Point !
Love the Yodel ! Caught me off gard! :)
wow wow wow and love the hair too!
How many coats of wax does it take to keep that hair in place? :)
Seriously, that is some AMAZING guitar playing, bro.
How he is able to maneuver that pick from finger picking to flat picking around 3:30 without missing a beat is amazing. What an incredible player!
Jamais vu ça ! Fan D'acdc mais là on est sur du genie !
Totally excellent brian as usual
great guitarist !
Understanding Scotty Moore and going out there.
MR Setzer ! What a Gretsch sound too...
Hearing this song makes wanna go work on your hot rod that's in the garage.
Brilliant!
Go Brian go

@@mickeymouse4897come on, I agree with everything except for singing, Elvis was one of the greatest performers. His voice truly is impressive.
@@mickeymouse4897 what planet did U come from? John Lennon said, before Elvis, there was Nothing.
He was not .. underrated , .. Watch some of his Live in Japan .... wow
A master of at least 6 things at least .. all it takes is Heart
Good man🎸🕶️
A master.
Great stuff
NOBODY can get that sound out of a Gretsch like Mr. Setzer.
...but unfortunately he didn't seem to have his slap-back with him. But I agree, Setzer is amongst the greats.
he is a killer! love where his pick is while he is fingerpicking!
Vous avez vu le médiator ? Changement ... Comment il fait ?
HEROE! 🙏
Bloody hell....I wanted to say something really positive but I can't think of anything good enough to say, incredibly amazing will have to do and thank you.
That was great!!
Veramente molto bravo,Mr Bryan. Non è Elvis,ma comunque i miei complimenti,❤
He gets from plectrum to finger pick in milliseconds, curling his first finger around the pick. Is this unique?
I've seen other people do it, but not as quickly and seamlessly as he does it.
Amazing
This IS a Gretsch G6120 SSL flamed ?
PLAY THAT THING!!!
That’s how you get it done.
A nice over of Elvis' Mystery Train who sang the song masterfully.
Yeah, of course Elvis sang it great, but he never could have done this without Scotty Moore. And it wasn't Elvis's song, his was cover too.
bravo!
Simplement phénomémal ! D'accord ou pas ?
The G.O.A.T
RIP Scotty Moore
He throws in a Johnny cash lick to this song awesome
Setzer Legend
Didn't even break a sweat. Anyone next. Didn't think so.
