He isn’t ready, 40+ try minimum. I’ve always gotta use Akos sugar, Gokan sugar, ungos sugar, Yasharikus sugar, ceremonial tonto, mortal blade with fire axe and firecrackers to stand a chance. Took atleast 6 hours to beat his first bar of health and another 6 to kill him. Way more difficult than inner isshin by far

@@Js16108 You clearly haven't fought THE MIST NOBLE. It took me 3 years and a sacrifice to satan to remove his first health bar.
You have 3 different options for the big fella. two of the options are for different questlines for other NPC's but if you want to "spirit him away" you need to equip the divine abduction that you got after killing the long armed centipede giraffe. if you want to do either of the other questlines, go find Doujun in the abandoned dungeon for his "bad" ending or Anayama near the outskirts wall - stairway idol for his "good" ending.

@@DrNafariousxyes, it's called divine abduction and it is found right where you fight Longarm Centipede Giraffe in this video. Mist raven is the one that lets you be immune to any attack, and looks like something straight out of Naruto, it's found in the Hirata Estate where you have to fight the ministry ninja.

Hey Jev! Loving the videos so far. Little tip for Kotaru, the big guy in the monk area who wanted the flower. There is a Prosthetic Tool called Divine Abduction that you picked up after killing the Long-arm Centipede Giraffe. You can use that tool on him to "spirit him away" and he will end up in boss room of the Folding Screen Monkeys, where you can talk to him, ending his quest. Hope this helps!

Jev you should talk to black hat badger in the Ashina Castle Old Grave and get the Loaded Umbrella as soon as you can, there’s a variation of the umbrella that blocks terror attacks, makes it really easy to deal with headless and sichiman warriors. The umbrella also outright blocks thrust and grab attacks.
Jev is amazing, obviously hes played before but you can see how him playing previously is like hes following a musical beat, love this series, cant wait for Isshin
The first phase of that boss reminds me of some runebear movesets, and the second looks very similar to Maliketh’s moveset. Cool!
Faze Jev the GOAT
Jev the alcohol are only used on npcs like ishinn, Emma, and the sculptor. You can give it to them and they tell you some bits of lore about the game. Each drink gives different lore from the other. For example, if you give isshin monkey booze. He talks about something different than if you give him dragon spring sake. It does nothing ingame. But it’s a cool little thing to learn about different npc’s stories

He is good. Better than most. But let's be real, he wouldn't be this good if he never touched the game before. Beating 90% 5 years ago is huge, that muscle memory becomes rusty but it doesn't go away. The whole deal about Sekiro's difficulty is learning the combat system. So if you already learned it, it's gonna look like this.

@@Sandlund93 Yeah but for some reason people act like Jev is still some kind of Souls noob and will get humbled by every reasonably difficult boss, when he's clearly a very good player and has beaten a bunch of these games already, he's basically a veteran at this point.
@@steviewonder0850 I don't want or mean to sound like a dickhead but the game isn't even remotely difficult unless you play with Kuro's charm and bell demon active. Without them you can just spam parry input and tank 10 hits from every boss without being punished.
Its definitely difficult. It wouldn’t have gained the hardest fromsoft game title if that wasn’t the case. Even with spam parrying which most people did in their first playthroughs people struggled and I’ve known and met so many people who quit early on. After your first playthrough of course it gets much easier tho. Kuro charm and bell demon definitely makes the game significantly harder.

you need the orange wind fans prosthetic to spirit away the guy, but there's also a better ending for his quest if you find a certain merchant. Btw I must say you're pretty skilled at this game, I'am really enjoying the series so far

The different types of boozes are meant for different characters, with their only use really being to get small pieces of extra lore through talking. So with the Monkey Booze for instance, I'm fairly certain you give that one to the Sculpture in order to get some lines on his past. The Dragonspring Sake can be given to Isshin, as well as Emma though that one I'm less sure on. But bottom line, they're all just for lore
Also to finish Kotaro's quest, you need to take the Large Fan to the Sculpture to unlock the Devine Abduction prosthetic tool. You're supposed to use it on him, and then go over to where you fought the Folding Screen Monkeys in order to get your reward and see the end of the quest. It's still sad, but not as sad as you remember

I’ve had Sekiro since it came out but I stopped playing years ago. Decided to play it tonight.
My experience: Loaded up the game, killed the first two mini bosses, got ran by adds, immediately closed game. I love the souls games but I don’t have the patience for this one. 😂

I got the Sekiro platinum 2 months ago love that you are playing this 😂 go for plat especially if you are on pc you can duplicate your file at the end and get 3 endings and the fourth in a second shorter playthrough

Jev for the giant you can use the fan prosthetic you got from defeating the mini boss that just kept swinging on you to spirit him away and he goes to the hall of illusion where you fought the four monkeys. He gives you a key item for the secret ending there.
Hey Jev if you use firecrackers ( they’re your best friend for stunning) then jump into the air while doing the mortal draw input, the blade comes out faster. Could be very useful!!! Good luck

The purple guy in the dungeon from last episode has a item the gives u 5 spirit emblems for half your health, but u need Devine confetti to hit him and to use anti air deathblow, and u need Pacifying agent to reduce terror
build up anti air deathblow can be found at the same place the Shield is at.

For future reference: when you deflect the big slash and he thrusts his neck out at you, you can use the loaded spear prosthetic to do huge posture damage.

Jev at the beginning of the temple area where that spirit talked to you, if you go right from the doorway and go down the hill there is a small hat guy you can mind control with the puppeteer ability, it leads to the giant snake where you can kill it
You have to try the skill of the monk palm fist something. Then you will have cool evading move that can cheese stuff and very cool melee attack to use.
Mortal draw is very good. I believe it was buffed at one point and is used a lot in speed runs. Use it while jumping for most effectiveness

I don't think he will do that, maybe offstream. But yeah, they are clearly the hardest bosses From have ever created. It's just that people forget how much practice they got from the normal versions. And you can always decide to fight them with no charm+bell, I still haven't beaten Mortal Journey like that. Beating it on "normal" was my greatest gaming achievement though, it's just insane. A different world from completing the first run. I mean, first trying 17 bosses in a row. And not just any bosses.
Although not much happens gameplay wise, the booze is just there if you want a bit of lore. You can give it to isshin, sculpter, and Emma, I think

Most players may know this but in case you don’t , you can use the spear to pull the centipede out and do lot of damage in second faze when you parry the downward swing and stun him . Mortal blade is generally great though too
Jev just reminding again before it’s too late😂 make sure you do the purification ending for a very fun but optional boss. If you don’t do the steps for the ending soon enough the boss becomes missable
My sekiro experience is get a sword art you like and spam it. Happy to see I wasn't alone and they all work really well for spamming.
ALSO: booze is lore-juice in this game. Each character you can give Lean to has different dialogue for each type of drink.

It’s actually a little secret in the second phase of the guardian ape fight, you can use the loaded spear whenever he falls down after you deflect him four times, and he can pull out that centipede in his neck for massive poster damage
Just so you know this in the future, Mortal Draw is pretty much the best Shinobi Art in the game. Not that you shouldn't use any others because they're also good, but Mortal Draw just does so much in many fights. And as you show in the video, clearly you're able to use Mortal Draw without needing spirit emblems. No it doesn't loose damage. Also, jump in the air and then use Mortal Draw. It'll do more damage. Trust me.
honestly never realized it did that, and I 100% this game
He needs to buy the mid-air combat arts in the skill tree first, I think. And that's more of a NG+ thing, hardly a priority. Then again, I just run through the game these days, if you kill everything you will obviously be able to buy more skills. I just find farming useless, I did it once for plat but beyond that you might as well enter another NG+ and get xp and sen from that. The xp increases until you start playthrough 9, at which point you can easily get 100k with a couple of stealth kills.
whirlwind strangely enough frequently stop mobs infinite attack combs to cause them to throw up their defense, which you do chip damage through and its fast enough to use Al ot.

bit of a helpful tip here (and spoiler but i'm not sure):
hey my boi jev that umbrella you got, there's an upgrade for it which makes it purple and let me tell you just one thing, that upgrade makes the headless and shishigami minibosses or whatever their name is an absolute *JOKE*. so if you want you can go and get that upgrade since the headless enemies are quite annoying and difficult to deal with. but for it to absolutely annihilate them you need one of the shinobi prosthetic arts (projected force) which makes you able to attack with it.
I think Jev is only going to struggle with Great Shinobi Owl and Demon Of Hatred
12:05 you will get a shinobi prosthetic called divine vortex or something and then you can send him away to where you fought the monkeys.
The Snakeeyes are genuinely harder than 95% of fights in the game.
After Sekiro Stellar Blade would be pretty dope

Second phase of the ape was one of the most exhilarating boss fights I’ve had, it was down to the wire for both of us and I blocked him perfectly for a finishing blow.
Isshin and Owl Father will humble Jev into oblivion
