Yeah, I'd go with the Rev 7 just for the sleek, portable setup. That's the whole point of getting a controller - for efficiency and portability. If you're getting the Rane 12s, you might as well just get 1200s and a mixer. I just saw Shortkut do a showcase on the Rev 7 and he was absolutely murdering it. Doing everything he does on a normal setup, but zero skips. He may have been even better on the Rev 7 than traditional 1200s and a mixer because no skipping.

I currently have a Rane One after years of the Numark NS7. I am heavy handed and absolutely hate how cheap and loose the One feels. I’m considering the Rane Twelve setup. Have you used the One or the NS7 before and if so, can you compare the feeling of the platters? I miss the ability to tighten the platter on the NS7. The Rane fader is also a bit soft for my liking.
I haven't unfortunately used the One, I have had a bunch of buddies with it, who have all sold it Rane has really fell off which sucks, I loved Rane my whole life, I'll never buy another Rane product unless there's massive changes Pioneer all day everyday
If budget is no problem (and you also like to play vinyl), I would consider the new Pioneer CRSS12. But I say this because I already own an S11 and Technics. But this isn’t the most portable option comparing to a REV7.
Denon SC6000M FTW. Same motor/platter as the Rane Twelve & One except 8.5" in a Standalone Unit with dual layers or can be used as a controller if that's your cup of tea but with the latest firmware which gave us touch FX, I don't see why anyone would want use it as a controller.

I like the Rev7 but the weight is the reason I take the 1000SRT most of the time.. would LOVE THE REV7 mixer with 4 upfaders & CDJ jogs.. Pioneer needs an answer to the Rane Four.. Rane Four FX is lacking compared to Pioneer.
