Hey Buddy, I appreciate your support for the culture. A couple of FYI; Beat Jump and Roll share pad mode (Serato setting). Sync and Key Sync both are on the 72 touch screen. The breaker stop/start for the Rane 12 is controlled by the DJ software (ie. Serato). Also the Rane 12's are suppose to mimic pro turntables, so the pitch bend function is achieved using the pitch slide. But, you're right, pitch bend can be accessed via the pad modes. Within the Rane 72 mixer setting, you can assign the 'silent cue' to the parameter button. A huge plus for the Rane 72 is the additional pad mode are available for custom mapping which made the 72 future proof. In addition, the buttons of the 12's can be reassigned / midi mapped for additional customization.
Yo Alex! I appreciate the detailed comment. I know that beat jump and loops share a pad mode, but I use them both so much, that I prefer them to be separate. I know you can adjust the brake in the settings, but I love when the setup has a dedicated knob because that is something that I will adjust multiple times mid set. I also like to have pitch bend alongside the pitch control like they do on the FOUR and PERFORMER. I almost never use silent cue but I know some DJs love them.
Have you had to replace your usb ports. I’ve had mine two years already messed up as well as a lot of others. Soooo just got RANE performer
Dope review! I would definitely upgrade to the Rane 12 MKIIs. I have them and sold my MKIs because of the spin of death. I also sold my 72 and got the 70 which is (in my opinion) a better mixer. To be honest tho, I use the CRSS12s and S11 at home and I like them better (except for the stiff pitch fader on the CRSS12s). I use the Rane 12s MKIIs and S11 when I play out. My Rev 7 is in the shop. Overall I love Rane products, but they can’t compete with Alpha Theta and the CRSS 12s and S11
I'm interested in why you like the Rane 70 over the 72.
I dunno man if the S11 fixed their cueing, system, I'd like it but its a major pain for me to perform on for that reason
@ the Rane 70s simplicity is what attracted me. I the 72 was just too much and having to use the screen for everything was a pain. My favorite mixer is probably the S7, but the upfaders are so poorly made, I won’t use it.
If you want CDJs …just get CDJs lol
@@bboymac84 why would you say that?
@ you are comparing these to CDJs 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
@ some people might be deciding between CDJs or Rane 12s
